I was bullied by a girl named "Vivi" in 8th grade. She was always calling me names and saying rude things about me behind my back. About 3 months ago she was expelled for bullying. Everyone talked complete shit about her the last couple weeks of school. It felt amazing to see her go. I'm just hoping I won't see her in 9th grade next year.

My thirteen year old niece was being bullied so bad in school that she became extremely regressed and borderline suicidal. Her mom moved away from her when she was just a baby and my mother and I have been raising her since. She had enough problems coping and didn't need bullies making her life worse. When I approached the school about what was going on they did absolutely nothing about the situation and even went as far as denying the problem. We pulled her out of school, and she has now been home schooled for the last year. I am so happy to have my niece back to her happy, bright and beautiful self again. Bullying is not okay and can be more dangerous than people choose to realize.

I dealt with female bullies at my school as a male... I often fought the male bullies, but as I was in high school in the 1970s, there was no fighting back against female bullies if you were a guy. The best thing to do then was to smile and walk off while they hurled verbal abuse. I fought one male bully whose sister tried to attack me for fighting her brother, who got in serious trouble for starting a fight with me for no reason. The best part was she was heard and seen by a teacher and she got suspended for two days for keeping the problem going. lol.

This hit home for me. When I was in High School I was severely bullied because I was not a jock. I was a photographer and had a lot of girlfriends and the jocks did not like that at all. It has affected me my whole life and I remember every one of their names who did this to me. I have an awesome life today but the pain from it still lingers and has played a major role in how I have treated others and has shaped my personality. Bullying online is also such a horrible thing. Bullying used to be accessible to only the people around you. Now it’s in your home, on your phone, computer, tablet, laptop; and nothing can stop some rando from going online and hating on you. It’s truly unfortunate. I used to get bullied in person but it was so much easier because I’d be able to respond back. Now people don’t even react when you type a message back online, they just flat out ignore you. One is not worse than the other, but we’ve had more time to figure out how to handle face-to-face bullying. Online is a brand new thing that we have yet to figure out fully.

i’m in year 8 in high school. Year 7 wasn’t the best and my mental health wasn’t good. I had a lot of negative thoughts and i somehow made it through without telling anyone, even tho my parents were a bit worried coz i went a bit quieter and wasn’t usually as happy. Now, i’m nearly at the end of year 8, and things are going great! I’m not sure if i’ve just done really well at ignoring negative comments or they’ve literally just stopped.. hopefully both! I have been doing tae kwon do since age 5 and i got my black belt last year. I started working out 2 months ago and i’ve managed to gain quite a lot of muscle! Now, I’ve at the perfect point of not being one of the ‘popular’ ones but not being one of the kids who ‘aren’t popular’ It’s nice to see that adults are stepping in to take action, my school is pathetic for taking action on bullying. A kid literally pooped himself coz a teacher didn’t let him go to the bathroom. The kid was one of the really nice and innocent ones, who had never done any thing wrong.. It’s s shame really, how the place where most of our childhood takes place can be some horrible.. but, if you’re lucky, it can be amazing!

I was bullied when I was in school and even though that was a long time ago I still remember how it felt to be bullied. So that shit don't fly with me. I'll stand up to a bully in a split second. In fact, even when I was in middle school I'd stand up to kids bullying other kids and even had some fights and was sent to the princapals office as a result. But I told my parents and teachers that I wasn't gonna stand by and watch someone get bullied. There's way too much negativity in the world as it is. People everywhere need to be kinder to one another, not be so quick to judge people
