That is an object of great beauty, Tim. It's beautifully designed and fabricated and you should be very proud of your work. Nicely filmed too. 👍
Hey Big Keith, Thanks for the comment, and of course, your support.
Excellent work 👍👍👍
Good work. Enjoyed watching.
Love the part - no talk - all work.
Very impressive work
Thank you for your simple and clear explanation, also you have done very good welding table with new ideas.
Great build Thanks for sharing
Well done! 🤙🏻! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent work sir, congratulations.
Excelent work, in one word "beautiful" welding table!!!
Thanks for the comment. I love this table, it's been a great addition to my shop.
Thanks for watching.
So glad I came across your video. I have the same Harbor Freight welding cart and hated to let it go to waste when I build my new welding cart so I really like how you up-cycled your old welding cart and incorporated it into the new one. Awesome project.
Thanks, I really like this welding table and I wanted to optimize my space. So using my old cart as part of it did help. I'm glad this gave you some good ideas.
Thanks for the comment and for watching.
GR8 Job. You have inspired me to fab up my own!
Thanks! Good luck with your project. I hope you like your table as much as I like this one.
Love your work. A big thumbs up!
Lovely job!!!
Great video and even better table. Thank you
There are some really nice innovations in your design, thanks for sharing!
nice work, thanks for sharing from MX
very nice Job.
Small tip: when checking for square on any square /rectangular shape always use your tape measure on the diagonals
HOBART LOVE! Great build, too!
LOVE THIS VIDEO
Thanks for watching.
Excellent experience 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome job badass fabrication! Your welding is not crappy. The pulse technique is great for light metal. I use it on 24ga through 18ga. Turn down your heat if you are blowing through running beads. Great job, don't let the keyboard commandos get you down!
Thanks for the comment Michael.
Awesome!!!!
nicely done simple n clean , i also have hobart welder too just like your .
Thanks Dale.
outstanding
Thanks Jim!
Хорошая работа! Необходимо добавить защитный экран из листа стали от мусора и опилок , чтоб защитить ящик и сварочный Hobart.
That’s awesome. And I was just about to buy a cart and build a table.
Very nice table. My everlast welder would look and perform great with that. I'd need to paint it green though.
It would look good green :)
Beautiful build:D ill be doing something very similar soon;)
you are the clean person...
Bonita mesa para trabajar 👍
RE: Tapping the threaded holes. I had 144 1/2-13 holes through 1 inch hot rolled plate to finish tapping through, I had stopped at Z-.650 since I didn't want to drill into the top of my buddy's HAAS mill vises after surfacing both sides, then drilling the bolt pattern. I finish drilling the tap drill through (I stopped at Z-.900 for the tap drill and Z-.650 on the tap, I didn't want to pack the tap into a wad of chips in the blind holes), then ground 3 flats on the 1/2-13 plug tap, and put it in my 18V Makita drill. It would tap about 15 holes at first before needing a charge, gradually less and less. Near the end of the 144 holes, it would tap about 3 or 4 holes then run out of juice. Both batteries died within 15 minutes of each other right after I finished, but they were over 2 years old. I was really shocked that it worked as well as it did.
Ready F ××××××× nice Job.
Nice work great look and a ready cool dude ..!
Thanks! It's been working out great.
bello
Very cool video.. about how much in material you think?
Hi Justin, I had some of the material left over from other projects so its hard to be exact. But I'm thinking around $300 at the time of the video.
Nice work. How long did it take to make?
Hi Frank,
I worked on this as time allowed over 4 weekends. If you had all supplies and the time, it could probably be done in 2-3 days including paint.
Thanks for the comment and for watching.
Why are you spot welding it like a tig? Just lay a nice bead, way stronger and still looks good
Hows the plastic Under the cut off saw>>> I Melted 1 table,.... then started a fire when placed a board under the saw,....LOL HOT!!! Sparks
Ps. THANKS Tim, KLR Wisdom has been great.
Well that plastic work table is in very bad shape anyway, so the cut-off saw does not make it worse.
Thanks for the comment and for watching.

Terima kasih (Thank you!) :)
I’m a novice and have noticed that a lot of welding table builds use these staggered cross members. What is the advantage of that over a solid steel table top?
Enables you to use clamps anywhere on table 👍🏼
De que medida es la mesa?
I'm going to steal some ideas from your table to enhance my current powertig table if you don't mind.
I don''t mind at all. That's what these videos are for. Good luck with your project.
Very Nice, When can I Order One?
Thanks for the comment, but these are too much work for me to produce and sell. :)
@@Tim2Wheels So true! I made a modified copy of Joe's table (Homesteadonomics). Everyone who sees it loves it. But it was sooo much work, just like yours. You'd have to charge $3k to make it worthwhile. And the freight cost would be another sticking point, as these are big & heavy!
Had to turn it off when I saw you stitching each tube together.
🤦♀️
Sure wish I can find dimensions and a material list
Hi Bryan,
Sorry for the delay on this.

@@Tim2Wheels the link doesnt work. Just started welding and I would like to make this.
Material list and dimensions?
Hi Greg,
Sorry for the delay on getting this out.

Did you really paint the working surface or did I see that wrong?
I was wondering about that myself. Also...I wouldn't put my cylinder so close to a massive heat source, and I wouldn't put my welder under a vented surface on which I am going to handle molten metal, but maybe that's just me :D
No. There may have been some overspray on the tops of the slats, but I removed it with a flap disc. The working surface is bare steel to conduct for the ground clamp. Paint would just get scratched off anyway.
Thanks for the question and for watching.
