    Young had the highest (114) floaters during the regular season with a success rate of 45.6% out of 252 attempts. No other player crossed the 200 attempt mark.
    Once he gets past his primary defender, he almost always makes the right decision too..if the centre comes up, he lobs it up for a dunk and if the centre doesn't come up, it's a quick beautiful floater. That move right there is unstoppable.

God knows what he can do when he's already this much of a problem in year 3. The final possession happened that way because after game 1, the Hawks are scared of bringing the ball down court and having a turnover for easy buckets that costs them the game. If they had a timeout to bring the ball down court, it would've been an obvious situation to foul, but without the timeout in their pocket I understand the concern. Curry didn't beat the buzzer anyways, the Hawks had it read all the way.

    This is where James Harden has changed the GAME; foul searching (whether you like it or not) Players like Luka, Trae are at their best playing the James Harden way, PnR for a lob foul or lay up.

    1:46 everyone slams guys like Jokic when quick guards attack them, but what about Embiid? No one ever slams him, and yet he is as exposed as Jokic is. Hawks did it ALL. GAME. LONG. Face it, every center can get exposed in today's NBA by guards, be it Jokic, Embiid or Gobert

    Pop quiz:
    Do you know what Trae shoots for his career on 3s?
    34%.
    Know what he shot this season on 3s? 34%.
    Know what he's shooting in the playoffs on 3s? 34%.
    He even shot 36% in COLLEGE and shoots 37% on WIDE OPEN 3s this season (no one within 6 ft of him). He's been a below average 3 point shooter throughout his entire career. I have no idea why he has a reputation likes he's Curry.
    All these p&r game plans involve scrambling over screens because you're scared he'll shoot, when you should be going under and hoping he shoots.

      37% isn’t really that bad if you go under and date him to shoot he will punish you. Lebron shot about the same you don’t see people sagging on him. I would say he’s an average shooter

      His willingness to take the logo three helps with floor spacing because defenses have to respect the fact he's capable of hitting those, even if they are low percentage shots. I agree reputation can be a tricky thing, and not always based in reality. He was supposed to be the next Curry, but Trae has a far different skill set and weapons. That's more the media's fault, I don't think Trae ever to claimed to pattern himself after Steph.

    • @smarioredd

      The media compares him to curry. He always said his favorite player was Nash. He plays like a combination of Iverson and Nash.

    • @xavierjdesigns
      @xavierjdesigns 2 года назад

      @@MHO999999 I agree with pretty much everything you said. I don't think it's his fault and his willingness to shoot from deep definitely influences defenses. I just think you have to play the percentages. Trae's best skills are reading the defense and passing, and finishing as he's attacking the rim. If I'm coaching, I wouldn't be so afraid of his 3-pt shot that I play directly into his strengths.

    • @MHO999999
      @MHO999999 2 года назад

      @@smarioredd Well, that seems like a good comparison. The best thing about Trae's game is that he doesn't have to score or shoot a high percentage to play winning basketball. That sounds funny for a guy who's not known for defense or rebounding. I guess that shows his overall floor generalship and understanding of basketball. His celling is even higher than a guy like Ja Morant because he doesn't rely on athleticism to be effective. He'll probably age quite well and have a long career.
