Awwwww man my bro used to love this band. Always remember hearing this song blasting from his room constantly. I couldn't remember what the band was called, googled it. Glad l found it again, happy memories. Gone but never forgotten X
i'm glad only a select few people get this band as it means you always feel like you a part of something special when you see them and long may it continue, go see them and then tell they are not one of the best live bands of all time :)
Get home off your face on booze and other supplements, grab a glass of water for the mornings inevitable peril, stick this song on forget that you’ve ‘spent the shopping money’ and drift off knowing no matter how bad life gets at least you’ve got a good taste in music.
@PhreshFunk thanks, man. Stronger now than ever. Strong enough to listen back and feel grateful that I got through it all. But thanks for your beautiful comment mate! Truly grateful and I hope you're life is full of happiness and contentment too!
@@johnsmith-wx5fb tell me more man. This song is supposed to lift you up and give you hope. It certainly felt that way for me! Keep pushing forward man!
Love it when bands sing with their native accent, no matter where they're from. This tune was on my mates CD in her car. Forgot about it til today. Love it! 😊
Reading comments and you guys seem awesome. I just started listening to the twang a few years back because I went to an Irish pub In Spain who played this among a few others. I'm 24 and Always loved you English/irish/Scottish people, very outgoing and fun people and it's reflected in your music 🙏 I'm a fan for life. Much love from Sweden!
Every time I dig out The Twang they sound as good as they Ever did Stu Hartland making one guitar sound like many brings back great times seeing them live ,come on guys tour again please ❤
One of the best songs written in the last 10 years. Melody, vocals, rhythm, lyrics, the guitar solo at the end! How does this only get about 10k hits and crap like Lana del ray get 100 million + ??
I'm a little annoyed I've only just heard this song or of this band (especially coming from the North East of England and growing up on British indie bands) but it has came to me at the right time and at a place mentally I needed
THIS SONG AND ITS LYRICS JUST BLOW MY MIND…. ITS SOMEONE WITH A SPECIAL TALENT WHO CAN CREATE A SONG WITH MEANING AND THEN APPLY A FANTASTIC TUNE TO IT.. OR IS IT THE OTHER WAY ROUND… TUNE FIRST THEN ADD THE LYRICS… I DONT NO???? BUT "EITHER WAY" ITS DA BEST...
When reality is shouting too loudly at me, I play this and am reminded that no matter how shit the world is, I exist, and existence is a huge privilege. Existence in a screwed up world is far preferable to non-existence 😊❤️😁
A quality band! Catchy tunes, Twangy geeetars, love the combination of vocal melodies & harmonies and the Brummie style raps makes them individual, different and an original style indie guitar band.
Cant believe the lack of views this song has! It really resonates with me at this moment in my life and thats what amazing music can do. I just found my phone and text my girl i love her x
As soon as I heard this song, it brought back memories of a band from 1990/91 era called The Wendy's, and the song "The sun going to shine too soon"... ❤
the twang, the kooks, the view, razorlight, only bands in the indie genre worth listening to, seriously. i'd love anybody (not sarcastically) to tell me any others.
Well, I'm a Brummie lad, I've finally sorted a wedding date and this song will be played with pride on the night. After listening to their music since the noughties, there will be a few of their songs on. She's a Yorkshire lass but I've shown her the albums and she's fully on board 😁
so glad to know this band from channel v like 6 or 7 years ago, this song still in my old notebook and makes me remember the twang again :D why this band so underrated?? they should be more famous than this :( im from Indonesia, almost never hear this band in my country
I first heard these guys in 2007 when someone linked me up to a video of Ice Cream Sundae, I have always been in and around the Midland's.. All these years later they are still a stape in my play list, people often ask me who is that I am listening to and even now I can still get someone hooked, the content or meaning of there songs willl pass many people by but that bleeds into insignificance when you have a Rhythem and my god do the twang have rhythem. These guys will stay in my playlist till death do me part... I Challenge anyone to hook me up with a band of the present days that will impale the twang into the distance.
Was looking through my archive of CD's and rediscovered this band. Fuck me,I was on a 3 day off from work and loved these guys like I did back in the day. Brilliant ! Thanks Twang.xxx
These last 2 years have been tough, been left behind by a lot of people and just been going to work then going to sleep most days. In September, I finally go off to University. This song makes me feel super positive about this new path I'm going down. :)
2024 and I still regularly get this in my head. One of the all time great songs imo
Yeah man
I feel so much better ❤
This song still today makes me emotional. It's just the most brilliant reflection of how so many men feel. ABSOLUTELY CLASS.
Absolute quality
Beautiful band, love the brummie twang, being a brummie myself sends shivers. Love them to bits x
This song is and always will be class
The Twang were the soundtrack of 2007 for me, it’s amazing how in what seems like the blink of an eye all these years have just flown by 😓
Couldn't agree more!
Crazy
and the kooks
Crazy ain't it. Knocking 2021s door down and 2007 seems like it was last week. 😪
Painted the soundtrack to the best summer of my fucking life mate. Glad I'm not the only one.
Awwwww man my bro used to love this band. Always remember hearing this song blasting from his room constantly. I couldn't remember what the band was called, googled it. Glad l found it again, happy memories. Gone but never forgotten X
Pretty sure our conscience lives on, on a different plane pal.
@@AndyPeers I hope so
Either way 💔🙏
I’d seriously forgotten how goosebumpingly good this song is …. digging the Twang back out again thank you 🙏
I’ll always be glad I got to see them live as many times as I did. They were so good.
Saw these in Manchester about 15 years ago probably one of the best gigs I've ever been to 💯👍
Never heard this before, really like it. Big up the brummies
i'm glad only a select few people get this band as it means you always feel like you a part of something special when you see them and long may it continue, go see them and then tell they are not one of the best live bands of all time :)
7 years later, and still the truth, awesome band live.
Saw them support Stereophonics - blew them away. Had to ask who was supporting who?
Tonight digbeth .. can’t wait
They were quite mainstream.
Bloke rock
the noughties were a decent decade for British Indie......love all indie but UK indie hits different
Time flies
I feel so much better today...whenever I listen to this
Come and have another listen our kid. Gu an! 😂
Ok This is Just Beautiful !!! What a perfect sound !!! I could listen to this song on loop for years !!!
Over ten years old now lads, how time flies.
I thought it was over 20 years okd- has a sound of the 90's about it imo, like Athlete
Over 15 now 😳
These,The streets,Plan B and of course Jamie T real music good times miss this bring it back.
Plan B.. Seen the guy live so many times, he really needs to make a comeback
Jamie T used to make me cry with laughter (a regional accent sounds funny when you’re brought up in the provinces to speak Queen’s English).
Get home off your face on booze and other supplements, grab a glass of water for the mornings inevitable peril, stick this song on forget that you’ve ‘spent the shopping money’ and drift off knowing no matter how bad life gets at least you’ve got a good taste in music.
Mate.. Thank you , I needed to see this
Irvine welsh over here, its crap you've bad taste in music. Go to sleep knowing that.
john smith I promised myself I wouldn’t cry the next time someone said something nasty to me online 😭
@@Lcfcluigi some brummie sing talking about injecting smack with a guitar in the background. HA HA Come on now , behave yourself
john smith John mate your the one watching the video? Nobody is forcing you. Feel free to watch something milder like a bit of pj & Duncan.
Either way Either way 🎉 song makes me sad memories of my old life ducking and diving, had to change, just so boring now 😢
2007 what a cracking year for music
Completely agree, it also had a bit of a retro feel to it too.
1997 was better
Never tire of this song it's absolutely brilliant!
Probably one of the most under-rated bands ever. My god the childhood nostalgia
Actually they not that great as you think. Your childhood memories make them great band.
I was 25 when I saw them live - so not a child, and thought they were amazing. Have you eve even seen a live band play? infant.@@blueprintblue6781
The whole album this is from is pure genius, class from start to Finnish.
Love jewellery Quarter Barney Rubble and Beer wine & sunshine for The Twang album Brilliant

tragically underatted band. caught them in Liverpool back in the day. Amazing live.
This would've been bigger in the 90s.
Sounds so 90's to me :)

Heard this on a CD in 2007/2008 been one of my favs since, absolute tune
Was it Now 67? That’s how I found this.
This song is the reason I pronounce the word "eether." Until then I said, "eyether."
Seen them at V. Pissed off they've faded away . X Still listening to you boys
Thankyou England 🏴👌

Come back to this and the remix quite often. Still brilliant
lets not forget Ocean Colour Scene, another under rated amazing Brummie band - forget Brit Pop
Love this song. Every woman wants to hear these words from her geezer x
Ocean Colour Scene where class... I mean class !!! I was listening to Mosley Shoals, on my stereo earlier today....
I hate the fact it’s called Brit Pop. Should of been called Brit Rock..
Soundtrack to my life
Wow not heard this in years! What a tune!! The charts need more music like this in them again.
Fukin class
Massively underrated track!
I went to college with Phil and Jon, top lads. Big ups the Quinton boys!
