I have a doubt. ....is there any need to carry jery cans for petrol..how much petrol is needed ...is it enough to ride with full tank on Himalayan..??

Vinayak Bhat if you doing normal circuit of leh and around.. The max. You will do will be 350 kms without petrol... So you can plan accordingly... But if you wanna do changthang area then you might have to carry but you do get petrol in small towns but at premium price
