I love how Naturalistas are celebrating natural black hair. It’s refreshing to see dolls that embrace their bodies (and hair) just they way they are.

The darker lip color on Naturalistas looks so good! I like pink lips on some of the Barbies, but honestly I wish more of the AA Barbie dolls had darker or more natural lip colors.
I love that the Naturalistas have normal sized feet. Barbie's unnaturally tiny feet drive me nuts!
In fairness, they're made to look good in the shoes, and since the plastic of the shoes is unrealistically thick and not to scale, the feet need to be smaller. Same reason her original waist was so small, to allow for all the layers of fabric necessary at the waist, and still have a waist fully dressed
@@recoveringsoul755 I don't think that's why. Otherwise Skipper would also have always had tiny feet. I remember as a kid being frustrated that Skipper's shoes were huge in comparison. I think it's a stylistic thing. In the 60's it was normal for women to be drawn with super tiny feet, just like Barbie has.
@@SharmClucas as a kid of the 60's, the dolls were made with a different kind of vinyl back then, Barbie's foot had more shape to it, the arches and the bend where the toes came out. Some had painted toes. They weren't just shapeless nubs with a seam. I loved the smell of opening a new Barbie. Newer dolls (90's when my kids had them) seem to be missing the toes completely. If I cut off my toes my feet would look smaller too. So it's a combination of things. I think I remember reading something about that older vinyl having a toxic ingredient or something along those lines
@@recoveringsoul755 Interesting! Yeah, I think a combination makes sense. I'm an 80's kid. Barbie had click knees and Skipper had much larger feet than she does now.
@@SharmClucas my favorite doll was the Twist and turn one, she had click knees too, but the vinyl seemed softer so they bent further.
The flesh tone heels are so cool! I have never seen a doll with nude heels before, and the dolls makeup is so pretty

Oh yes! I’m definitely gonna trying twisting Liya’s hair. She looks even more stunning in that style. I wasn’t sure what to do with her hair. You nailed that!
The Naturalistas dolls are stunning. I like the natural hair and the variety of skin tones. Every little girl should be able to find a doll to represent her and those around her.
We got a rainbow box and it had the rainbow boots. Good to know that the shoe color seems to mostly match the boxes. Thanks Toya!

I love the Naturalistas. Thank you for showing a body swap. Maybe if the company does well (I hope it does!), they can add a little more articulation, especially the knees, elbow and more neck swivel.

The Naturalistas dolls look so beautiful! I love their hair and faces! I was just thinking it would be cool to see them in braids or twists, so I'm glad you tried it. I do wish the original body had more articulation, but I'm glad you were able to do head swaps. I do agree with you about the RH shoes, $10 for one pair is crazy! I do think the bags that came with were cute, you could probably make like a drawstring backpack out of them. Thank you for the video, and I hope your foot feels better soon!

I love the hair the one reminds me of the hair from the gold new rainbow high doll 😍 hope they start doing more different types of hair for dolls!! 😍when I was a kid my gf and me would have the hardest time finding her dolls that weren't blonde and had straight hair I felt bad my mom and us would hunt for dolls for her and we did find a few of course but nothing like now I'm totally getting every single one of these for her we are still friends this was back in the 80s 90s so things of course have changed.
It would be nice to see more “On the Shelf” episodes again 😊 Haven’t seen any more of these since you’ve added so many new dolls to the inventory and I’m curious to see how everyone feels about the changes 😁 Definitely some drama brewing ✨💖✨

Yay! I’ve been anxiously anticipating your review of the Naturalistas doll. I received two from Amazon and one from Target so far. I’m impatiently waiting to receive a fourth one I ordered from Target this week. I haven’t been able to find the social media one and the Pixie Puff ones because they’re out of stock at Walmart. They’re beautiful and more authentic looking. I’m proud to see another African American woman owned business creating toys. I’m looking forward to more fashion packs and hopefully male dolls soon. Those Naturalista dolls are beautiful - I really like them. I like also their more natural-sized feet - I think made-to-move Barbie feet are too small (though I love the articulation). The perfect doll would be the Naturalista doll with articulation at the elbow and knee (and if I wanted even more perfection, the wrist too). Pretty hands on these dolls, too.

I used to reallt love watching The Darby show. But I can't even watch that anymore, cause even though its in the play list, it seems all the videos are for Roblox.
I wanted to share the show with my 7 yr old daughter. She saw a few episodes where there was some crafting and a short but ai can't seem to find THOSE videos or the ones that are just episodes.
I love the crafting videos, not a huge fan of the mini brands, but thats ok. I understand why uou like them and they look good in the doll houses! But I wish the movies were a little higher priority. I know they take forever to make but thats probably why I loved them so much. I can appreciate all the labor of love that goes into making them
