I agree. The first two albums were raw, and heavy, His voice was perfect for the music and the songs were written well
They are on constant rotation on my sound system. Always will be. 1980 was a great time to be a kid.

So good to hear that Paul is on the mend. I was fortunate enough to go to the Wembley Record Fair years ago when he launched his book The Beast. I recorded him play 5 live accoustic songs for a crowd of maybe 20 people I was right up the front super lucky after the book signing and launch. He was up there with Sigue Sigue Sputnik. I asked his then manager and he said all good. The next day I went to the first Iron maiden reunion day at the Ruskin Arms and recorded him play with I think a Spanish cover band of Maiden. Afterwards he signed my guitar which I still have to this day. How can I get hold of Paul I don't imagine he uses Twitter and FB much and his yahoo email is probably long since dead. I sent him the footage at Wembley at the time but I don't know if he ever got it. I never released the footage on RUclips but ive seen poorer versions recorded on the same day. I think only 2 of us filmed him. Back before the days of iPhones etc I used a proper video camera and I think he would love to have this piece of his history.

The only albums that matter to Me are the first two with Paul Di’anno; he had the punk rock attitude and it’d fit just perfectly with those songs as well: seeing him on stage for Maiden’s 1st Amerikkkan tour with Priest in’81 at the Garden and then they threw him out just to see some guy whom would go on to sing about dueling 🤺 flying ✈️ or whatever interested only his own egotistical ways as they continued onto reducing the band to just another shitty record. If you look at their catalogue after Powerslave; once it went keyboards 🎹 then it ceased to exist and the entire album only had a few okay numbers off of it as well as Priest with Turbo 💿 This was a real bad move from a pair of bands that were still trying to be metal bands. not Rush or Pink Floyd. Slayer’s never changed since 1983 til the end of the road, sadly if Hanneman didn’t drink so much then they’d still be doing something else. Holt was an excellent replacement for his style; just not Jeff 🪦. Paul is actually telling y’all exactly what IS going on as far as the virus goes btw. Monkey pox come mid-terms! Sincerely yours truly xoxo 💋 DJP ex PostMortem and Kilslug Boston Massachusetts USA Amerikkka of course! 🇨🇳🏳️Too bad I ain’t kidding about it

I have the upmost respect for Paul. But maybe he should consider the money he defrauded from the British taxpayer before he slags off the NHS.

I'm not sure of the details but I know he doesn't receive Maiden royalties. I believe he sold his rights back to the band some years ago but then I also read somewhere that a settlement was agreed with the management at the time he was fired. Either way though, he's done a lot in the years since, none of which has sold anything close to Maiden figures but you'd think that collectively he'd done better than to now be flat broke. Then again, he's led an expensive lifestyle, plus he's been divorced several times and it's probably likely that that alone has financially raped him!

He sold his rights for laughable money. As you can see he doesn't make good life decisions and isn't particularly bright.

Maybe he should give up their gigs. They have done alot of damage to his voice .
