Tuomas reminds me of the Aragorn played by Vigo Mortensen in Lord of the Rings! Especially some scenes of the video remind of the final battle, when Aragorn, turning to the army, says in a low voice "For Frodo!" and runs to the enemy! BEAUTIFUL SONG! GREAT VIDEO!
I discovered Nightwish in 2012, so it was long after Tarja had left the band. But for me Tarja was the best singer Nightwish had. Her hauntingly beautiful and pure voice combined with Tuomas songwriting combined to create something so special that the world might never get something like it again.

There are 5+ million songs released every year, you haven't listened to even 0,01% of stuff that has come out this year alone, so how can you claim that 2005 was better? Do you just listen to the biggest mainstream music and nothing else? And even among the biggest stuff there is good stuff to be found. And by the way, back then listening to something you wanted was more difficult than today when you can do it in seconds. The entertainment industry in general is even bigger than that. And it's easier to access things. So how can you claim that it was better back then? I think you are just letting your nostalgia cloud your judgement. Personally, I really enjoy something I enjoy. So claiming that people don't enjoy stuff anymore is just weird.
The best times were between 1989 and 2001. The Berlin Wall had fallen, communism was as good as defeated. Everyone had high hopes for a better future. But since 2001 everyone was anxiously trying to hold on to the past and no one had a clear vision of the future anymore. Also economically the 80's and 90's were the best days for the middle income group. One could support a family on one salary and have some extra.
I was thought the same. But Anett gave a popular feature for Nightwish. And Floor combines the two era. E.g. Ghost Love Score is much better with Floor. The Nightwis is one entity with these three singers. 🥰

On her wedding day, my friend (who is also a Nightwish fan) caught a cold, her mom came to the rescue and put on her a white bolero cardigan and scarf on top of her wedding gown. It was my first time seeing someone wear long sleeves for their wedding gown, and I remarked that the long-sleeved look was very unique, and reminded me of Tarja's outfit here, from this Sleeping Sun (2005) music video. My friend then remarked that it would be an amazing wedding dress. Since then, I've been hooked on this style, on the lookout for my own wedding gown -- simple, but enchantress-like!
Tarja is a traditional queen, sweet and kind, Floor is a warrior queen. I imagine if the video had been made with Floor she would appear cutting heads 😂😂😂 Different styles, but I love both 💖 As for the version of the song, I prefer the original from 1999, but this one is also good.

I started listening The Nightwish because of Tarja's voice. It was really innovative way to do rock IMHO. For me theese were The Nightwish. I like Annette, I like Floor very much but Tarja was the best voice for this songs. The first albums are wonderful!
Evergreen like a tree that doesn't lose its leaves, it is always green and never dies or loses its vibrancy or in this case with Nightwish, this song is as perfect as it always has been, it's always wonderful, it has maintained its high lvl of beauty after all these years even through the different eras of singers. I think that's what they meant.

Nigtwish is my fav in the whole world.their songs make my day better,a day without nigtwish song is like a day wasted. It just bring tears how i have been growing up with their songs

I started listening The Nightwish because of Tarja's voice. It was really innovative way to do rock IMHO. For me theese were The Nightwish. I like Annette, I like Floor very much but Tarja was the best voice for this songs. The first albums are wonderful!

Evergreen like a tree that doesn't lose its leaves, it is always green and never dies or loses its vibrancy or in this case with Nightwish, this song is as perfect as it always has been, it's always wonderful, it has maintained its high lvl of beauty after all these years even through the different eras of singers.
