Squad44 isn’t perfect but it’s getting multiple updates every month and the devs are communicating weekly, I’ll take that any day over half baked dev briefs and patches
They play with the community too, and genuinely are passionate about the game.
This game has gotten better over the last few updates! I've been playing it more and more lately while HLL, not so much.
To bad consol will never get it

THANK YOU ! The pacific theater expansion HLL teased on their very first road map in kickstarter had me pumped. And to see them not even working on one now breaks muh heart
@@G41wal recently their dlcs and patches have been subpar. Regardless I love the game and still enjoy it. I have hope in the future that they will add new factions to the game such as USMC and the Japanese
Why? I am genuinely curious Squad 44 is better in nearly every aspect in my subjective opinion. Why not just play S44?
@@ryanmarc1853 personally I feel HLL is better. The balance between Simulation and Arcade is perfect. The maps are huge and its structures are more detailed compared to Post Scriptim.

I recently switched over to sqaud 44 from HLL. Only because i heard about the new Frontline mode. It was before the release of the dlc for HLL thay everyone is upset about. HLL need a game mode like that where you take the objective but dont know where the next objective will be. Imo it might be a deterrent for those who like to sneak behind the Frontline and yoink points before the defenders even have a chance to defend. Or atleast put a time barrier to prevent them from moving forward when the next point is taken. It was one of the things i hate about HLL. I get recon can do it though but most of the time its just a couple of rambos doing it. Thats just my opinion
HLL has a game mode that does exactly that, Offensive. When you are attacking on Offensive, you don’t know where the next point is at. It’s only on Warfare that everyone knows all 5 points
@@tristencrockett You sure? Cause when I played offensive one day. Someone was already at the next point capping it. Are the next point randomized or the same spots as always on each map?

I have only picked up a sniper rifle in S44 once, but found it infinitely more enjoyable than sniping in HLL. The slight tracer effect, the sight zeroing so you aren't just guessing how high to aim above a target at a distance, with the wicked sound effects and satisfying reload animations... it was all just so good, they got it right. Hell let loose sniping is atrocious, rage quit once after a match spent hitting invisible walls and needing to shoot enemies more than a few times to down them at range... lol sorry for the rant. Glad to see you making Squad 44 content!

sound design is somehow better than HLLs and I like the debris VFX :)

@@NashmanNash That small playerbase will surely thank OWI when they decide to pull the plug on the game because its playernumbers never takes off. We need more people and there are plenty of players in HLL that are competent enough to play Squad 44.

It's taken almost a decade BUT WE HERE NOW!!! lol
So I wrote a very long comment comparing my experience on Squad 44 vs. HLL (and I understand it's not a fair comparison since I've only played one match in Squad 44 and have nearly 3000 hours in HLL). In short, HLL seems to have a ton more players (though most are useless), and both games have graphic issues (for Squad 44 it's more lighting, colors, and detail where as with HLL it's more of hitboxes not lining up with graphics type problem.) Both games seem to have issues with toxic players and cliques (surprise surprise there are toxic people on the Internet, I know). I do like the idea of devs trying to improve the game and not taking a steaming dump on the players and trying to sell it as cake. I will try Squad 44 again, but it won't be on an early afternoon on a weekday. I am intrigued by the support roles in Squad 44. It's one area I tried to get HLL to improve on, but they always seemed to have other, more pressing issues.
Took me about 100 hours for S44 to really grow on me. Give it time and I’m sure you’ll love it once you get the hang of it. The learning curve is even crazier than HLL
It's honestly extremely rare to find toxic people in both squad and squad 44 imo, but thats just my own anecdotal experience. I will say though when I used to play HLL there probably was less toxicity, but that was only because fucking literally no-one communicated with each other.
Been playing Isonzo quite a bit lately, that game is alot of fun! Kind of want to build a gaming PC to be able to play this and squad cheers Alpine love the content as usually brother 👊🏻🥃

I wish this game didnt have so high system requirements to play. Stopped playing HLL and bought this game and i think it has some great stuff. Both S44 and HLL need players who communicate and work together in order to be fun to play. Team17 just make HLL worse for all players.
I played both on an RX580 and a 1050ti at different times over the past year. In fact RX580 is the recommended GPU for SQ44. What were you trying to play it on?
@@euphobone graphic card: RX590, 3.40 Mhz intel cpu, 16gb ram. The computer is not the latest technology but in HLL i could play with 60-70 fps, not on max graphics but ok. in S44 i play on 1080p medium settings otherwise it crashes.
I thought it died with maybe a couple hundred on and off? I’ll hop back in if it gets going again. Was a fun game but had to walk a ton.

I've been playing a lot of Battlefield 5 to get my WW2 fix since I've gotten so tired of HLL. Looks like I'll have to fire up the PC and try this game out, looks great.
Squad 44 has a certain style to it though so youll need to get used to the pacing of it all
Play more of this. It’s worth switching up, we love you HLL videos but we should also shine the spotlight on this game more. Plus you can only consume sm HLL content.

It does explosions better than HLL, that’s it. Checked for the last few days, not a decent server in sight.
There are like 5-6 full servers during peek times where do you live? Mars? And it does evertyhing better and im saying this after 500 hours in Hll and 80 hours after squad 44
I'd love to play Squad44, but the lack of players (especially since I'm French, and would need a French server to play optimally) makes me hesitant to buy the game...
They have a french server 501 FE I believe. It is open during what I think are european evenings most days. I enjoy it some times eventhough my french is very rusty.

I’d play this over Squad just for the fact that there’s no noodle arm mechanic. They fuckin ruined that game. The audio is great, and it looks fun as hell.

the only thing worse about this game for me is the fps i get and the inconsistency. I have a decent pc which runs HLL at low with 40-60 fps all day, this gives me 20-30 with low and bad performance.
It was for everyone across the board but they fixed it

Nah just pc. Hell Let Loose is basically same game and is on console tho. Larger player base as well.
@@garrettnobles8956but there are some differences here that might make one choose S44 over HLL. The armor gameplay on S44 is vastly superior and the game overall is generally more difficult, pushing people to work as a team more often
@@hampdog5716 you only have one option on console and I feel most console players would flock towards HLL. It’s inbetween battlefield 1 and millsim style.

i can play squad at like a stable 90-70 fps yet this game i constantly hitting bellow 50 and even 30 fps at time i don't even understand why

I've owned this game for a long time way before Squad bought it and just could not get past the clunky feeling I get playing it. I just does not have the same feel as HLL. The lack of the emersion I get in HLL just isn't there yet. I hope it gets there eventually then I'm all in.
They removed a lot of the clunkiness lately, still needs a little more work but it’s actually fun now I think

I'd rather they optimize squad instead of adding pacific. I can run hll on max settings for every map but mortain. Squad I can barely get 40 fps on medium. Would love to play squad 44 but I can't run the game worth a f**k

The fact is this: This game is getting love and support- it's far from perfect. It's much more immersive and requires WAY more team work then even HLL does. But the writing is on the wall, the devs for HLL simply don't care. We've been taking everything the HLL devs with a grain of salt as they throw it down the drain to greed and ineptitude. I fully support Squad 44, It's different and does NOT play the same as HLL but it's obvious HLL is on its way out with the current dev team, they don't test things, they break things that shouldn't have even been broken from an update, etc, etc. So cling to it all you want and I'm at over 1k hours with HLL so yeah :|
