That's a gorgeous home and I can see myself in it, beginning a new chapter of my life at 55. BUT, didn't Tiny Homes gain much of their popularity because they were so affordable when compared to a typically sized home?? They were an achievable option for retirees, divorcees, young folks starting out, and folks like myself who have made some questionable choices over the years, and stayed home raising my son only to realize that my jobs skills have become obsolete in this digital world. I now have to find a way to support myself and pay for a decent home. I feel I deserve a place of my own that's not an apartment or condo with 100 neighbors watching my comings, my goings, my guests, etc. But this gorgeous home is MORE THAN TWICE what my ex paid in 1992 for a 2000ft² home in our state's capital city, complete with a postage stamp lawn and a MIL suite with kitchen. I'll be lucky to find a job making $2500-$3000/month. My recent exit from. 20 yr toxic relationship with an abusive narcissist (not the ex from the home bought in '93) had collateral damages, and I think my credit rating is the one I'm most upset about. I did everything I could to keep up afloat while he got paid on Fridays and had spent his check by Tuesdays. I had bought a house myself when I found out I was pregnant, which happened to be the worst year out of all years to buy (2006) but I was 38, knocked up with 3 teen stepsons and Italian inlaws who 100% planned to move in when my son was born. (They kindly waited until he was two.) An apartment wasn't gonna cut it. But our mortgage broker was a weasel, there was a God-awful balloon payment due and after 7 years of trying to get the mortgage reworked so it was realistically payable and no one doing a thing except losing our file and every record of my calls, we gave up. I told them they could have the house, cos they obviously didn't want us to keep it. I had to declare bankruptcy so I wasn't responsible for over half a million dollars on a home I bought for less than $300,000. So my rating is currently a 600 from only the bankruptcy 9 years ago; I haven't had a credit card for 5 years and there aren't any delinquencies.
And there's no way in Hell someone like me would ever be able to afford this tiny home. And that really sucks. I'm gonna have to throw a pool raft into my back seat and cover it with a blanket, prop a pillow on top and join the #vanlife crowd , simply because I have so few palatable options at this stage. $160,000 is totally NOT doable for dumb schmucks like me. Which again, really sucks cos that home has ME in every inch². 😿

One of the prettiest park model tiny homes I’ve seen! Such a different layout! For those balking at the price, all of the pavers, the fencing, landscaping etc isn’t cheap! I think this is lovely and if I was moving to Blaine Washington, I’d absolutely seriously consider this one! The community looks nice too, which is also rare. Really beautiful!!

If you are paying $160,000 for a Tiny Home might as well buy a small home with a acre or 2
