Beautiful work and excellent attention to detail. I hope to start my Zen garden this winter. I'm in Texas and already have many small Acer Palmatum varieties but need to add, rock, water, and small dwarf conifer to get the desired look I'm after. Thank you for some great ideas!

- Когда смотришь видео про японские творческие, мудрые сады, то дух захватывает, как можно боагодаря растениям - можно претворить свой сад в шедевр, гармоничный уют, пригласить птиц, журчание ручейка....
- К моему огромному сожалению: я так и не смогла встретить в своей жизни спутника, который так же любил бы растения, как их люблю я. Все мои многие творческие затеи - не смогла претворить в жизнь, потому что - рядом не тот человек ШЁЛ И ИДЁТ по жизни, оно обыкновенное презренное пустое явление, сам не сделает и другому не даст проявить творческую мысль в жизнь, всё постарается испортить на корню твои очень простые, но очень красивые идеи.
- Приходится самой творить молча в заговоре с растениями... несмотря на то, что он человек с пагубным нутром...мои растения не взирая на таких людей - творят свои чудеса: цветут всё красивее и краше, здоровьем пышат, благодаря заботой рук моих.
САД - ЭТО МОЯ ЖИЗНЬ!!! ЭТО ВСЁ - ЧТО ЕСТЬ У МЕНЯ!!!
Я очень люблю свой цветочный сад. Основного фруктового сада не имеется....только цветы!
Так как проживаю в северной части другой страны, лето - очень короткое, даже не успевают цветы полностью пройти свой курс цветения, поэтому - не было желания глумиться над фруктовыми деревьями из-за этого.
ВСЕМ МИРА, МНОГО ДОБРОТЫ, ПРОЦВЕТАНИЯ И ВСЕГО САМОГО НАИЛУЧШЕГО!!!

I’m in the US. I am a 60 year old woman who’s nearly done creating a zen inspired fire pit area with large stones and boulders. Most I’ve moved by myself. What I have used are a modified boat winch strapped to a tree with straps and chains attached to to rock. Long iron pinch bars, if they are cheap iron they bend and are not good. One is long and has a flat end, and the other end has a point about 7 or 8 feet, the other one has a hook end (useful to shift the rock a little cat a time into place) it’s shorter maybe 5 feet. Another useful method is using rails either metal or wood with wooden dowels or pvc and move the rocks as though on a sled. These methods are very helpful.

Very interesting as i am making this week sept 2020 a japanese garden in my yard .. i have few bonsais and olants to go with BUT i miss japanese moss and that kind if grass with dark curved blades i know how to make moss but japanese moss is very special ..

we have plenty of others variety ireland scotland siberia icelandic and most of nordic countries with quite different textureswhere i live in switzerland imho we have just one that can be quite long fibers according age .. nex spring will see what is on sale or in the botanic garden . I was lately and noticed they opened a department with show cases of moss but were empty on work ? oct nov are the best period to transplant or grow it i have plenty of spontaneous born in my pots .. anyway these tutorials are very very interesting

The unfortunate point is that in countries of different continents we can not always achieve the growth of all the plantation that you grow in NIPPON.
And I have two more suggestions to make.
The one is to put if you would like that is a list of the plants that you used and if you can their needs in climatic and other substances.
Many of the plants that you used here are totaly unknown to us in Europe and very possibly we can not grow them in our soils.
The second of my thoughts that i would like to suggest is that because of what I previously said, I would very much prefere ifvyou could concentrate more on the decoration features that you use in a Japanese garden giving us some more ideas and then you could tell to your viewers from other continents to chose some of the japans originated plants that can be grown in their countries after making some searching and asking their plant sellers on what are these specific plant,.

I am going to attempt to have a landscaper put in a small Japanese garden for me. I live in a place where we have 4 seasons. Our winter is very cold and snowy and summer is very dry and hot. I'm worried that I won't be able to put moss down, or ferns. Do you think a Japanese Maple will survive here? Winter could be 10 degrees, summer 100 degrees. Thank you for any help.

This plant is called Tamaryu in Japanese. Is it Mondo grass in English?

Planting taller trees will make them look narrower. I would recommend planting shorter trees.
I also recommend planting a larger tree with fewer leaves near a position where you can see the garden better. The trees therefore add depth to the garden.

There aren't many squirrels in Japan, so I don't know how to counteract that.

I would recommend a deciduous tree with an unusual shape. I think you can use any type of tree you like.

In Japan, momiji is often used. Maybe one more evergreen tree would be nice. I think it can be your favorite tree.

Hi guys, can anybody tell me what is the latin/botanic name of the plant that is in the very center of the screen at 5:04, the one next to the water feature :-) ? And also the dark green grass like plant?
The dark green grass is mondo grass. It comes in green and in black. The first plant you mention I think might be some sort of ivy, but I am not sure. Mondo grass will spread and cover an area, albeit slowly.
