Just goes to show that you don’t need a million dollar boat and a million subscribers to put out outstanding content with two extraordinary people. Great vid guys
Wow thanks so much, were always trying to encourage people to just get out there and have a go! So so stoked that it resonated with you that you dont need all the fancy gear for the adventure of a lifetime! Stoked you enjoy the videos 😁 thanks for your comment
I just adore your colourful language, Soph. You really get the point across with your f&*^kin massive croc. You do make me giggle, Sweetpea. Thanks for videoing the waterfalls, Slim. Nice one, Buddy. Take care and stay safe please.
Y'all have grown to be one of my top 3 sailing channels. I got neighbors coming over to watch y'all's new videos with me as they come out. One day I will be sailing to, you all have bin my introduction the the Kimberly's.
You guys cannot do that with the wahoo wrap, inflicting so much tease with that fresh fish and great cooking in a spectacular scenery. Loved it 🥰 ❤ Waterfall and croc action was super cool. 😮
Food envy, great company and the scenery of a paradise. You guys are really doing a spectacular job with the storytelling, from the voiceovers full of context and history, the b-rolls immersing the viewer into the environment, with the candid on camera moments landing that authenticity. And to boot, a landscape that’s simply jaw-dropping. Superb! 🎉😊
When you get to Fremantle, remember bona fide sailors get 3, free days berthage at the collector jetty as well as a welcome pack of info in and around Freo.
Awesome video guys! We were glued to the screen taking in those landscapes! Suchhh a fiery contrast to where we’re sailing here in the turquoise snow capped fjords of BC Canada! My partner James is from Aus & although we won’t be sailing there anytime soon you’ve certainly inspired us to check this area out on our own boat.. one day. Cheers guys, keep it up!
An Amazing Spectacular Place The Kimberley 0.26 with Waterfalls that flow Horizontally & Backwards defying gravity up 100m cliff faces where 4m Crocs lurk & Gremlins hide that should be locked away in a modern stainless steel box. That would of been Sooo Specy being on top of the waterfall escarpment looking down over Nakas Great Episode once again 🙏 🤜💥🤛
Awesome footage and magnificent scenery. Oh how badly I want to see this area before I shuffle off! Been lucky to see a fair bit already but this area is truly bucket list territory.
Thank you very much! still waiting on a reply from them but we hope so too, not the ideal glitch 😔 but im sure those that wish to continue supporting will come back online, either way we are so grateful for the support we have had 😊 what an epic community, were so stoked that people get enjoyment from the videos ❤️
@@SlimandSophSailingNakama im a former liveaboard and am a couple years from retirement and have travelled all over the world. My plan is to buy a 28 to 37 ft bluewater boat and head for the south pacific. Perhaps one day our paths will cross and i can buy you two a beer or 3 lol.
Another excellent episode with amazing footage of the falls etc well done you guys watch those crocs near the waterfalls because they will be watching you
Brilliant vid guys. I was there in 1981, no one else around. Went spear fishing if ya can believe it! No way now! We were stuck on the sandbar at the mouth for 3 days waiting for the spring tides to get out. Keep up the good work.
Enjoyed several nights in King George river on the way back from Indonesia in 2011 on our Duncanson. The rope ladder was there at that time, but you needed to arm over arm to get up the last 7 metres and yes the resident croc was waiting in the water if you fell. Later we saw footage of some young blokes doing bombies from the top and scrambling back into their tinnie before the croc arrived. Better them than me. Later we visited Cascade Falls where Ginger Meadows was taken. A sober reminder to respect crocs and their territory.
Yeah It blows our mind also, we have seen photos! and the black stains on the rocks give you some ideas, all through the gorges there are stains that show evidence of additional falls that would exist during the wet. magical place
Hi Sophie & Slim, we loved the posts you’ve made, the scenery and photography are both spectacular! We will vicariously enjoy the trip but will leave the crocs to you!! You’ve convinced us we’re not sailing there. Rod & Lillian (Sapphire of London)

Slim and Soph so beautiful is the Kimberlys. Your photography was amazing and the drone footage just the "WOW"!! factor. Holy Sh** that croc was huge even legless the croc was a Biggy. Hope you got your Patron situation corrected and sorry I am financially not able to at this particular time to become a paying subscriber. Like comment share is all I can do at this time. Well done guys, isn’t it spectacular? We were there in 1989 before the Kimberly became a ship tour/ helicopter hell, glad you found it relatively quiet to enjoy it how it should be.
These are saltwater crocodiles! Yep, absolute dinosaurs. I think they would eat anything they can get their hands on. Probably a lot of birds in the diet too and maybe rats, we saw a few rats scattering around the rocks
.... did those crocks originate up top and once their nosing around took them over the edge, they would never return to the top .... Imagine being there in the heat would be unbearable with no breezes, but mind you if one could get in the mist from a waterfall it may not be so bad. You needed to wear coats, better than burning your cheeks when you sit down ..... truly an incredible area of the world .... thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
When it's hot it's hot, but yes, luckily there are freshwater swimming holes and tucked into the cliffs, you lose the sun pretty quickly in the afternoons. Cheers legend, glad you enjoyed😊

Another epic vid, cheers guys! Really appreciate the effort you out into the drone footage, its always a task to pull it out but it really pays off - such unreal landscape. Hope Patreon can sort that out for you ajd have the subscriptions reinstated 🙏 Curious what platform you get all your WA info from ie. about the rope ladder and the gremlin. I'd be keen to check it out.
Having a bigger outboard is a necessity for this area to avoid crocs, cover large distances and contend with raging tidal waters. It's definitely a safety precaution and luckily as it's so remote and secluded, generally speaking, there is no one around to bother.
You certainly don't want to go swimming there. Saltwater crocodiles can swim at 24 -29 kmh- about 15 knots - in short bursts. @@SlimandSophSailingNakama

The ‘Freshies’ freshwater crocs are generally smaller than the humongous ‘salties’.
Wow.
Thanks guy's for another awesome episode! How deep is it up that river to the waterfall??
Our Pleasure Danny ! i think around 25m, most of the river is around 10ish but it got deeper there at the falls, lot of water carving it out there
I was in the area from7th july when they had the rain north of broome from the 26th june .

Hell to the no. Don't care how pretty it is. Need more between me and a croc like that than a boat.
Beautiful place..to much croc to dive..🙄😡😭
Why even study just take off sailing ❤
The gremlin ate fluffies cat up that way somewhere so be careful and keep the dinghy pumped up ready to go.
yeah once we saw the broken box we gave him a wide berth 😂
why are you using a crock donut ???
