Raising the Bar: Defending the WorldSBK Triple Crown in 2022

- Yamaha dominated the FIM Superbike World Championship in 2021, lifting the triple crown of rider, team and manufacturer titles, along with the awards for best independent team and rider and best rookie. But time stands still for no man and Yamaha were already busy developing the 2022 R1 WorldSBK well before Toprak Razgatlıoğlu lifted the world championship trophy in Indonesia, knowing full well that they needed to raise the bar this season if they were going to defend the triple crown from some very motivated rivals.
Yamaha's WorldSBK riders, Razgatlıoğlu, Andrea Locatelli, Garrett Gerloff and Kohta Nozane, all head into 2022 off the back of very different 2021 seasons. For Razgatlıoğlu the goal is simple, to defend his crown, whereas the others will be looking to deny their Turkish teammate a second successive title, as they target the top of the championship standings themselves. 2021 was an exciting season and 2022 promises to be even more so!

on the other hand, its a sad race 2 for Loca, he's really fast but a bit of badluck in race 2.

Dear Gerloff your turning point is collecting Toprak. It almost cost the championship for Yamaha Brand. And whole country, you made us upset as a result you collected our negative energy. That's why all things went upside down for you after you dnf'ed Toprak in the first turn of Assen. Now both of you sorted out the issue, you are gonna be ok this year hopefully. Wish the best for this year
It was tough for Garrett last season, but Toprak and Garrett are friends and we hope they both have a strong season this year.

Last year it was the CLOSEST WSBK VICTORY in past 8 years.... so.... its almost a victory for Rea and he won't let anything slip by him.... that means, it will be VERY COMPETITIVE 🥳
The racing from Aragon this weekend would indicate that it's going to be a very, very close three-way battle for the title this year!

I hope you guys can defend the championship title. I've been a big fan of the Yamaha Wsbk team since 2009, when Ben Spies was fighting for the Wsbk tittle. Would love to see the Yamaha R1 back to back wear the number 1 next season.
