Best BL series ever, seriously thank you china. ❤ Compared to japanese BL, where the pure focus lies mostly on the main couples romance and them doing stuff after falling in love really fast, MDZS is giving a lot of attention to the small details and is concentrating a lot on creating a really good story (writing every character pretty well). If you want it or not while watching/ reading the story you get really emotional, because the characters are so deep and you are automatically taken in by their feelings. I really love it. ❤❤❤

MDZS really has been a beacon of light. It amazed me. The artstyle, the story, the characters, the emotions, the setting, the intrigue, the magic, the conflicts, the bitter moments and happy endings. There was a period in my life where I felt I couldn't be surprised by a serie, book or film anymore. Everything was bland, unoriginal, devoid of meaning. MDZS was one of the few things that helped me regain faith in creativity, and after getting into it, I soon started seeing more colours and variety in other works too. And in my life in general. Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, Wen Ning, Jiang Cheng, Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, Jin Ling, Lan Xichen, Nie Huaisang, and everyone else, and oviously the author and animators... no work of fiction has made me love every bit of it much as mdzs has. I’m absolutely serious about it. While I love anime in general, there did come to a point where too many of the same old plots & cliches were repeated. I so wanted a series that I could find enough to fangirl and obsess over again because that feeling is just so wonderful. After casually stumbling across some random clip of mdzs on RUclips, I was hooked on the series shortly afterwards. Mdzs fulfilled pretty much most of what I like in a good anime: beautiful scenery, a fantasy genre, extensive world building, complicated & compelling characters, moral ambiguity, & elements of politics/philosophy intertwined (plus fucking hot characters overall 😂😅). I have been obsessed with this series since August. There’s definitely flaws to the series, but for real tho...I still love this series for what it has presented. But I do find the best part of this series is how the characters are not standard cliche because the author does a pretty good job of showing how the characters are shaped by their circumstances. I honestly can’t hate majority of characters as a result, except the one dimensional ones that were purposely made to be disliked like that. Jin Guangyao is also one of my favorite characters which is incredibly rare for me to say this about antagonists in fiction. Ok I’ve said enough but mdzs will remain a special place in my heart.

This novel is very sad and emotional but too much scary. I'm scared everytime from this novel cuz of Jin GuangYao and Wei Ying they're very sad and scary characters. I know Jin GuangYao isn't a important character but I still mention his name in every comment section cuz he is my love more than a favourite but sorry I hate Wei Ying so much for some reasons.
