I really like this song, but I almost wished that I had found it under different circumstances. Some time ago a friend sent it to me, and beyond thinking it was a great recommendation I read super deep into the lyrics. A little bit after that, we had a rough patch and since have stopped talking. On one hand, a small part of me wonders if my friend predicted our falling out and was using this song to let me know that we'd eventually start all over again, or was maybe using this as a subtle request for me to try to reconnect. Another part of me realises that this possibility is stupid. The majority of me is just happy and content with the peace I've gained since we parted ways. I'm not really sure whether I'd be happier in the long run if I tried to reconnect, but I've gone so far down the latter path now that trying just feels weird, and to some degree so does continuing to think about the dilemma as a whole.

The majority of me is just happy and content with the peace I've gained since we parted ways. I'm not really sure whether I'd be happier in the long run if I tried to reconnect, but I've gone so far down the latter path now that trying just feels weird, and to some degree so does continuing to think about the dilemma as a whole.
