This was a HUGE hit back in the 80's and the video was in constant rotation on MTV. Yet, somehow, it has fallen into a black hole and no one plays it or even knows about it for some reason. I'm glad you resurrected this one--maybe it will breathe a little life into a lost classic.
I’m 66 years old, been to many many concerts, and Rod is in the top 3!!!! For sheer energy ; always colorful clothes; interactive with the crowd!!! You won’t be disappointed for sure!!!!✌️😘
Girl, same here! I’m 61 and been to lots of concerts and Rod was one of my favorites too! He was a ball of energy and kept coming out in different colored fluorescent suits on a totally white stage with white stairs. It was spectacular!
He is 74 years old now and still looks amazing! I love him. He puts on an amazing concert. Very high energy and lots of fun. I love his hair and I love that he still has the same style after all these years.
By nowhere near his best but still good "Maggie May", "Handbags and Gladrags", "Mandolin Wind", Gasoline Alley" or my absolute favourite "The Killing of Georgie" (part 1&2) are must listens for anyone trying to get to the real Rod Stewart. Oh and he does love a big leggy blonde model. He was also very good at playing the camp fool.
Sir Rod Stewart is amazing. I used to see him during each of his tours. If you want other songs to react to, I’d do ‘In My Life’ ‘ Maggie May’. I’m glad you enjoyed him.
I was 11 years old when this came out. My little sister & I used to walk or ride our bikes a mile away to go to the local swimming pool every day. We’d arrive early & stop in at the A&W root beer stand. I’d play this on the jukebox constantly. I’ve always loved Rod. Keep em coming please. Rod, George Michael, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood MAC.
Stay with me came out the same year as every picture the album that had Maggie may and mandolin Wind on so he only really went all romantic in the late 70's with hot legs and obviously da ya think I'm sexy so yeah the faces and Maggie may was really the best stuff
So glad I found you and your reviews. I love watching your pretty face react to the legends singing their amazing hits and performing their fabulous music!! I see you did this in 2019, but I am still so glad I found you. I love how you let the song play out, you don't interrupt it, as other do, I prefer how you do this and it is delightful for the viewers who watch you react! Rod Stewart loves women, and he has always been such a great singer, performer and lover. Thank you so much for having respect for him, for observing the differences in him, from young singer to older singer, and for your lovely and meaningful facial expressions! I liked and subscribed and will be back! All the best to you, you are valuable and awesome!
Love Rod Stewart! All his songs could keep you busy for a long time! Lost in you , my heart can't tell you no, Forever young, stay with me, and one of my favorites but isn't a big hit is It's over and it will make you cry.
Rod recorded some good albums after The Faces, in the same vein... then, the 80s arrived and he lose it completely. It was amusing and funny but don't get me wrong, musically was a disaster
In case you didnt know Rod Is a Legend. Too many fantastic songs to list... for real... Young Turks... Passion... Do ya think im sexy.... first cut is the deepest... he goes back into the 60's and Baby Jane was the 80's
I have heard this song when I am very young maybe about 10-11 years old, I lived in the country not in the city, my father worked in the oil refinery so we usually there but once a year when the school in vacation we goes to the city (my grand parent house) and spend Holiday there, we goes to vacation spots and buy new clothes and shoes because in the country seldom they have good items with fair prices, when in the city we going around in my parents car and the radio play this song.. The melody have stuck in my head for years but I don't know the song name and who's singing it.. With the magic of Google assistant and RUclips and spotify I finally can find the song and love to play it in my car stereos... Good memories come back about my childhood and seems so glad that I have found this again...
Please, please, please react to Rod Stewart..."Baby Jane"....the song is a classic and if you listen to the words it shows that he is a fantastic lyricist....one of the best songs of my generation...and I am 68 years old. !!!!!
Thanks for the choice / reaction: Good song, looks like a put together compilation of video clips - as others have said, Rod Stewart has other songs to explore - "Forever Young", "Fascination", "Hot Legs", "Tonight's The Night"
"Sailing", "First Cut Is The Deepest," "I don't Want To Talk About It"... He has so many songs to choose from and some of them are more on the disco - new wave synth side, such as "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy".
I saw Rodney three times back in the day. Once before Ron Wood joined his band with FACES, twice with him. Once before "Maggie May" and twice after. I never saw him with JEFF BECK. The last time he did the entire "Long Player" album with "Maybe I'm Amazed". Rodney was a romanticist and always enjoyed singing ballads over faster songs on stage. To me his stage presence was always as a romantic, lovable and playful regular guy. Can you tell I miss those days? The saxophone player here is CANDY DULFER. His "Reason To Believe", "Maybe I'm Amazed", "Forever Young", "Sailing", "Some Guys Have All The Luck", "Maggie May", "You Wear It Well", "Handbags And Gladrags", and "Tonight's The Night" are some of my favorites.
Just admit it girl, Rod is one sexy talented man that you can't help falling in love with him, and his music. So many great classics. That sexy scotsman just sucks you into his voice.
What A Life ! Slept with many of the loveliest Ladies in the World. Had some wonderful wives including his current wife who is the long-legged saxophonist in the band. She is probably the greatest Sax player of all time and no-one knew, even her :):)
Early Rod Stewart is his best imho, especially his album Every Picture Tells a Story. Other songs you might want to check out: "Jane" by Jefferson Starship .. "Sweet Jane" by The Velvet Underground .. "Daisy Jane" by America .. "Lady Jane" by The Rolling Stones
Hi India, what you should do is stick some Rod on your headphones with a glass of red wine and a doobie, and just chill. The reason why i typed this,is because you like him, enjoy cutie, best wishes from Bonnie Scotland.
Rod Stewart was my first ever concert when i was 15 in 1972 .with Faces .this a'int it. MAGGIE MAY , LOSING YOU. that's the good stuff .this song is what we called wuss rock .
I highly recommend you reacting to Nightwish "Bye Bye Beautiful". The song is basically directed at Nightwish's past singer Tarja Torunen. You can clearly hear in the song how much it hurt the band to part ways with Tarja.
Really... He has so many songs, and you pick this? Though I agree it is noteworthy it is not even top ten. It is like somebody picking the top song for Queen... "Under Pressure". # Sorry, I am right!
How bout Rod Stewart at his best with...... The Faces " (I know) I'm Losing You "... live ( BBC Songs on Saturday ) This one will get you rockin from the first note.
next try: do ya think i'm sexy. but there are many other great rod songs as well. young turks, tonight's the night, the first cut is the deepest, the killing of georgie part 1 and 2, your in my heart tonight i'm yours, love touch, forever young and many more.
Rod Stewart is a legend. Since everyone is recommending their favorite I'll recommend mine - You Wear it Well.
This was a HUGE hit back in the 80's and the video was in constant rotation on MTV. Yet, somehow, it has fallen into a black hole and no one plays it or even knows about it for some reason. I'm glad you resurrected this one--maybe it will breathe a little life into a lost classic.

He is 74 years old now and still looks amazing! I love him. He puts on an amazing concert. Very high energy and lots of fun. I love his hair and I love that he still has the same style after all these years.
1983, one of the best years in my life and there haven't been many.

He is amazing. As a singer and songwriter. He has songs going back decades.
Sir Rod Stewart is amazing. I used to see him during each of his tours. If you want other songs to react to, I’d do ‘In My Life’ ‘ Maggie May’. I’m glad you enjoyed him.

Please more Rod Stewart! Lost in you and My heart can't tell you no! The two are a story plot I think you'll love it!
Before Rod became such a romantic, he did "Stay With Me" and "Hot Legs", both with The Faces, I believe.
Stay with me came out the same year as every picture the album that had Maggie may and mandolin Wind on so he only really went all romantic in the late 70's with hot legs and obviously da ya think I'm sexy so yeah the faces and Maggie may was really the best stuff
