This is a great version from home free!! Definitely feel good song! I love that they sang this quonset shed… Acoustics are amazing!! Love the unique harmonies at the end! This group really does stand by their members! Tim’s hometown was devastated during the hurricane in Texas! They immediately went to their studio and recorded God bless Texas! The proceeds were donated to victims of the hurricane!!
Love this great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. Great vocal leads by Austin & Rob. Tim's bass really stands out for me in this one. And Adam's tasteful vocal percussion is on point.
Subbed for Home Free - they are excellent. Been following since the Sing-Off in 2013. And we all forget there are no drums when Adam is there. He is amazing.
Excellent reaction and explanations. The way they "made new" Take Me Home Country Road" is simply exquisite. Very different but it works so well. Home Free is my Happy Place.
One of the songs I have been listening to for as long as I can remember. (I'm from 1963) First the LP, later I always had it on one of my cassette tapes, then I got the CD and in recent years I usually have it on one of my playlists. Although many versions had been released in the meantime, it was usually the version by Ben E. King or Otis Redding. But from now on it is the version of Home Free that is on my playlist and no other. Alternating the lead between Austin's powerful voice and Rob's silky soulful voice just sounds so beautiful and fantastic. Then the unparalleled vocal percussion, truly phenomenal. The great bass and beautiful harmony are the finishing touch.
Austin also has a solo of this on his channel. Of course the singing & harmonies are always terrific & Adam's beatboxing outstanding. No glitz, no theatrics - just a beautiful rendition of Ben E. KIng's 1961 classic. That they're side by side, while singing "Stand By Me" is so symbolic.
They sure do this song justice. The harmonies are butter smooth. I would love you to react to Adam Chance from Home Free and Peter Hollen's version of Take me Home Country Roads. It is fantastic and right up your alley.
they just released an amazing cover of Hunter hayes "I want crazy" that you may like too !!! I love this arrangement it's is fresh and even though it's a classic it sounded new !!! It was amazing but then again it's Home Free of course it was

This was so good. Loved the bell tones and when they slowed down near the end. Good low notes by Tim.

Home Free are so very awesome! Love this so very much. I am sure Ben E. King would be so very proud. Love your reaction!
I am such a sucker for Home Free's bell tones 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔 And I love whenever Adam becomes the 5th vocalist!

Excellent, Phil. Always appreciate your teaching style. Feeding the algorithm beast.
Subbed for more HF!! Thanks!
They don't need "tweaking", they know what they are doing 😉
You may or may not have noticed Adam Rupp adding a 5th harmony part during that breakdown and the final chord when there was no beat boxing going on.
Almost a note for note match of the arrangement used on the Sing Off with Rob being used instead of the guest singers.
❤❤❤ Beautiful 😍
