- This is one of Stryper's heaviest songs from To Hell With The Devil. One of my favorites.
Enjoy!

Great drumming - as another drummer I can only aspire to this level of skill. This is also my favourite Stryper song.
Thank you!
Thank you! It's really hard to say what the volume setting is. It's different with each video because of how loud I actually played, the loudness of the original track and put those factors together and it makes many possibilities on the mix. Basically, I just listen to the mix and fine tune it until I am satisfied. Sometimes, as with this video, I take the audio from the video and import it into Audacity, compress and eq it and then add the backing track to it.
Another great job! This my favorite song! One of thier fastest!
Never get tired of watching you play bro!!! Mahalo for spinning the cam around your rig as well!!!
Nice Job brother, very enjoyable you are a gifted drummer! and this is my favorite song!-Thank you!
I have seen all your drum covers of stryper and dream theater. You are an exceptional player, and got eclectic taste in music. If Stryper did not have the visual timekeeper himself, you should definitely man the kit. Incredible playing and God Bless you my friend
Jim Graham Thank you sir!
Man, I've been enjoying watching all your Stryper covers... great stuff dude!
Impressive playing. Nevermind the critics. God Bless you brother.
Yeah, what tecna64 said.
I actually started with two kick drums way back in the late 80's when I got a new kit for my birthday, I combined the two kits and started playing double bass. Then I went to a double pedal and never looked back. I've had these two kicks for a long time and I just decided to put them back together again.
absolutely great!!!
The Best. Of The Best !
Well, if you check ALL of my other videos, you'll notice I use a double pedal on a single kick. There is a pretty big difference between the two. Two kicks gives you that bottom end on the left side of you. Double pedals (most of them) have some drag that you get used to. It's really just a matter of preference and what you can afford.
who else on youtube plays drums along to some bad ass music like you do? Especially with a set up like you have? :D Awesome job man.
Thanks man! You should not have quit. You may regret it someday. Do it to gain knowledge and broaden your mind if not for that, do it for fun. Drumming is some of the most fun I've had all my life.
Bro👊 Excellent On The Cover🙏
Thank you
Man, this is INSANE!
Amazing cover God bless
Thanks man! Just keep practicing everyday, play along with your favorite music. Play with other musicians as much as you can. You'll get there.
Thank you very much!
God bless you
Awesome cover dude! Great work.
I love that drumset
I wish I still had it! Thanks!
As long as you do it out of your heart for the Lord Jesus he counts them real good brother he loves when you praise His name keep it up I'm a drummer to brother but I haven't been playing for a long time because I'm not in a band someday God will allow me to do this again God bless you brother
THANK YOU!
Would be a dream for any1.. I mean for those that don,t already have talent and a kit like that :) But i bet if id have all that talent id buy one like this too :)
Thank you!!!!!
Thank you!
sweeeet! Great job
Yeah Yeah! Rock on!
I didnt even listen to Stryper yet but i said to myself '' hey if gspot27 covers it it must be good.. '' i gave it a go and i think it sounds like Iron maiden , ive saw them live and it was good so i like stryper now :D
awesome!
I did get another splash and the cup chime, and visions cup chime. The other kick drum was not being used. I customized my rack so that I could fit them both under the front of the rack.
Good job ! baita batera heim !??!?! se deu pra caralho... Regards from Brazil !
THNXXX!!!
damn ur kit looks even better now :o would love to see the front with the 2nd bass!
cymbal collection seems to have grown
Thank you!
No, I haven't really listened to it yet. I like the music but I have a little bit of an issue that Rob did not play on it, for whatever reason, I understand that but to me it just isn't the same. I will probably feel differently about it after I see them on tour this year and see Rob playing them.
excellent
Damn it looks so fun to play like u rofl im a beginner at drumming and sometime when i just realise a nice fill im feeling so good lol and u do like.. all ur songs perfectly or almost :O
Don't get upset. He "MEANT NO OFFENSE" and he's studied with "some great drummers". You should feel privileged that such a superstar is even speaking to you.
@zimbalist Thank you!! I very much appreciate it!
Thanks! Yeah, I need to do a new "building the kit" video and I will soon.
Awesome man, great cover!!
Bless.
I really don't know because it was purchased over many many years. If you were to go buy a Pearl Masters Premium Birch, it would cost you between $3500-4000 for the shells, another $1000 or so for the hardware and cymbals would run you, well, I'm not sure, you can find that out by shopping current 2002, Signature and Alpha cymbal prices.
loco d++++++ afff!!!!!!
du är grym!!!
Yes! It has no drag. I've tested it out and it is an amazing pedal. But it's still not the same feeling and sound of two kick drums. Trust me.
No. That is a 2000 Series 16" Mellow China on the bottom with a cut down Sound Formula 16" Full Crash, now 13.75". There's a 6" Accent cymbal on top of all of that.
You're right, roach, his timing is off. I'm his guitarist, and I can tell you, from the rest of the band, that his timing is off and we've noticed. Just the other day we said be at practice by 7pm, and he shows up at 6:52. The nerve.
Bang spot on.
And the rambler putts on below.
@Hi456ify Nope. It is a BLX/MLX kit. Check my channel page for full details.
reverbnation. com/thefiregang/song/9983065-nothing-left Very early recording, before the band was fully established. We're recording our demo now, so check back if you're interested.
I'm not offended. I know my skills and shortcomings and FACT, I have never been replaced for my timing. In fact, I have never been replaced.
but doesn't the newest pearl double pedal (i think it is called the demon pedal? or the eliminator. i forgot)
have no drag?
Totally caught a rim shot at 2:13. Totally Needs a redo.
is that other bass drum new, first time I see it, you always played double bass pedal..?
I want to see your foot/pedal work while playing that song.
I'm thinking about buying a drum kit. What would be a good kit for a beginner?
thats right, im pro, more so than my agent will allow me to share with you.
And you should be glad someone had the balls to tell you your timing doesnt have to be a struggle, if you do one simple thing.... If you dont want to do it, then your drive and commitment are not greater than your ego and you will not be able to improve your skills or yourself.
do you have any vids on here with your band?
damn I need a drummer :O
you should try to play songs from "murder by pride'
did you get another splash and another bass drum?
Yeah, a little. :)
hey man your drums set how many cost ? in dolars ?
Thanks man! My Paypal account is always open for donations for mics and a mixer. LOL
do you have anything with your band either live or in the studio? Have you played live, or been in a recording facility? share that with us?
FullFOrce: If I ever caught a rim on a drum video I'd just redo it. Rim shots r unacceptable. That's all I'm saying. My bridge is the best by the way.
Dude, I appreciate you defending me but 9pt9 is just kidding. Trust me. Thank you!
LOL
i never got the point of having two bass drums. y dont you just have one bass drum and have a double bass pedal?
0pt9 please link us to some of your perfect videos troll
it is great "clean" drumming, aside from the fact the timing is inconsistent. I listened to the songs from the band and the drumming would have been kick arse, aside from the speeding up and slowing down. Only wanted to suggest more work with a click and nothing else to the guy because THAT is his job and that is the only thing he is not doing.
And I honestly don't hear a rim flubb where you are talking about. It happens but I don't hear what you are talkin' about.
Fullforce- I'm just sayin I don't be hittin no rims or nuthin. You hurt my feelings:(
good bye perfect people...when im as perfect as you to where i cannot improve and cannot take good advice from a real expert on what i do, maybe then i will fire my management and tell you how many millions of people have actually paid full price for cd's that I am on. Peace OUT
I appreciate the feedback but saying "I doubt you could keep time for a real band of people" is just way off the mark, dude. It's your opinion and that's fine.
AGAIN I MEANT NO OFFENSE
I have studied with some great drummers, I am not insulting you, but, your timing being off is something someone should tell you. Sorry to be the jerk who decided to be the one. Are you aware of these errors?
Lars Ulrich?? Is that you? You really have to find better things to do with your time. You think the trolls would be full by now..
maybe so but professionally speaking you have all the coordination and basic skills, most likely most people would not notice but you struggle with the timing and as a drummer, you need to work that out... keep playing with a metronome or click track ALL the time, when you jam along with covers, it is not going to help your timing issues, though it would seem it would... Playing in time without a band or "song" should be the first thing that a drummer can do, or your band will replace you...FACT
If you were pro, you would have backed it up.
Constructively, from drummer to drummer, your struggling with the timing on all of your videos, your not giving half the energy that produces the real "feel" for this kind of rock. If the song wasn't playing, to keep you in time, i doubt you could keep time for a band of real people. I would be ashamed to put that on youtube....
Keep practicing with a click of some kind.... next time lets see your band jam the cover... No offense... just giving some honest, professional, feedback is all
HRRouch. Glen is the best timekeeper for a band I could name.
I played with him three years. In Dallas, as a TRio. LIVE. Then he went to Coventon Georgia for WORK. Sit down please.
Thank you!
Thank you!
