    Great video, Mark. I am of the age group that this era bike was right when I was racing all the time and the comments of the bike compared to modern bikes is spot on. I hope you do more of these.

      Thanks Scott!! I will definitely keep doing them every chance I get, I’m rebuilding an 89 YZ 125 now so that one will definitely be getting a review! Maybe it will be done in a month or so.

    Very nice review man. I have a 2001 KX 250 in pretty much showroom condition. 100% stock except for the original dried out Bridgestone tires I recently replaced with MX-33’s. Almost too pretty to ride this 20 year old beauty. It’s a fantastic bike.

    Great review, from someone who just getting back into racing after racing 125a 25 years ago I love seeing this.
    A new 250f probably does have almost equal HP to a 250 2 stroke, but the 2 stroke would have a lot more torque, like probably 50% more, and it hits almost instantly when compared to say a ktm 250f that revs out to 14k rpm smoothly

      I ride myself with a yz250 1992 ex gp bike, from marniq Bervoets . But at this point i,m putting a stock cilinder on it , because it has no bottom-end power , only midrange and up , Im a vet and want an easy bike to ride and not a fast bike . Grts

    Found one for 1700 on FB and im sure I could talk it down but its already a super low price for my market. I'm coming off a YZ80LW+big bore and I can't decide over that or a 125. I can find a good 125 for around 2k but my dad has an 04 Kx250 and I think it would be cool to have those together but I'm not sure.

    I like how you do the old bike reviews. I found you because I was searching for riding places by my mother and my sister. They moved to Inman a few years ago and I’m hoping to be next. I really need to move somewhere that has a lot of riding territory. We grew up on Long Island NY. There are plenty of nice trails to ride but we’re not allowed anymore. Park rangers patrol the woods and take peoples bikes, it’s really out of control! So uncalled for! Then they get mad at the kids riding in the streets.

      Thanks for watching!! SC is a pretty sweet place for motocross. We have multiple series and can ride year-round. If you are near Columbia or in the upstate, you will have multiple tracks within an hour of you. And across the state, we have around 20 operational tracks (keep in mind it's not even a very big state!)

      @@markswartmx56 that’s awesome! Hopefully I’m not to old to ride by the time I get down there. Next time I visit I am hopefully bringing my bike! Keep the videos coming, they may take off!

      I saw their hours on FB and it looks like they close at 3 most days. What is the reason for that and are they all like that? The only 2 small tracks we have here open at about 10 and close at dusk

    • @markswartmx56
      @markswartmx56  2 года назад

      @@kennyrmurray which track? I think it sort of varies by track, other are usually more like 4-5. DNA is always open until dusk. Cedar Grove is also more like 5 or 6. Some of them close early so they can re-prep for the next day.

    I like the kawi 250 and 125. Just the gearboxes break ( for me). Of course I broke my YZ 125 at Strawberry hill.
    The kawis are the best bikes, just fragile. Only use them for retro racing
