Whether by design or gentleman's agreement, note how in Marbula One, Greg starts with "And we're rolling!" But Jack as the lead commentator in this series uses "And we GO rolling in..." I like how they are similar, but still different and yet it's simple and to the point and tells you what's going on. Also little details like at the podium Jelle's marble (orange with the flower) is always dead center.
I am imagining that Jelle are choosing a few marbles in his collection. "I think this looks close enough to the NIO 333" and picks it. But then when he was about to choose a marble for Mercedes suddenly a package arrived straight from Mercedes-Benz headquarters. A marble is enclosed in a 10cm x 10cm x 10cm box, along with a note: "Dear Jelle's Marble Runs, please use this marble to represent Mercedes at the Marbula E".

Yeah I cannot believe the organisers didn't think that corner would lead to trouble! It's outrageous to see the marbles risks their lives on a track that has been designed by clowns! (Anyway, Envision isn't coordinated enough to roll straight let alone intentionally target another marble)
Absolutely agree with you.
That burn though.
IMO the stewards definitely made the right call, the impact was still quite a way from the railing and was relatively minor, if anyone should be pulled up for a deliberate collision it should be Porsche, just look at them slam into Techeetah less than a second prior to this incident.
Envision did suffer some damage so they too will have their chances reduced for the win
Breaking news! One of the Stewards have family with a financial interest in Envision.
Amazing action!!
10:15 Mercedes double overtake on the outside of turn 5, move from 5th to 3rd
11:30 Techeetah barely holds off Mercedes to stay in 2nd place through turn 11
11:50 Mercedes finally overtakes Techeetah into 2nd place on turn 8
Yeah dude! I think this was the 3 best moments! Go team Mercedes!
This Mercedes move was wild ngl

I think, now that we're three races in, and now that we've got Greg Woods, we are starting to see the best of Jack Nicholls as a marble commentator. I'm sure he's good on his own with car racing, but the duet of Greg and Jack seems to be working wonders for Marbula-E
Jack has really learnt a lot from Greg. He even pulled out the signature "penultimate" this race :)
I think even the best commentators benefit from working with a partner. There's some banter and playing off each other that you just can't have with a single commentator alone.
@@Aeropunk08 i heard that word maybe twice in 20 years, then i started watching F1 and supergt, and in the last 18 months ive probably heard it like... i dunno, 3 - 4 billion times? At least a couple of hundred million since Jimmy Broadbean got into it
Disappointing finish from Jaguar after that exciting come back in Seoul. I hope that Envision Virgin shove gets reviewed, no room for those kinds of dangerous games in the sport.
Jack: Partners in the real racing world
Everyone: what do you mean
I think that Greg Woods should be unable to understand the concept of the real life racing league and question Jack whenever he brings it up.
I agree. Marbula-E is The real racing.
What time was that?
He said CARS as well
@@greglam2755 That's more the kind of banter I'd expect from diecast racing.
Glad to see Audi is okay. That drop could have been career-ending.
The rescue marbles responded in record time. Otherwise, that thing could have ended badly!
They should put some cushions underneath the corners - otherwise, one of these days, there will be a real tragedy
I hope the marble is okay
Just got word that after a rest Audi is 100 percent spherical and ready to roll again
That’s German engineering for you.
Ok for real though
When Audi was launched out of the track, I loudly gasped
*I'm getting too involved in this*
These are lives!!!!!!
#justiceforaudi
Whether by design or gentleman's agreement, note how in Marbula One, Greg starts with "And we're rolling!" But Jack as the lead commentator in this series uses "And we GO rolling in..." I like how they are similar, but still different and yet it's simple and to the point and tells you what's going on. Also little details like at the podium Jelle's marble (orange with the flower) is always dead center.
Me: Finally a motorsport where everyone is equal and it’s not just Mercedes at the top.
Mercedes: Hold my DAS steering wheel...
What you don’t know is that just naming something Mercedes instantly makes it the perfect competitor, unbeatable in any way
I am imagining that Jelle are choosing a few marbles in his collection.
@@taufiqutomo That's German engineering for ya. The designers spend thousands of marble hours drafting, modeling and testing the perfect sphere for racing. Using wind and water tunnel testing, and the most dreaded...........uphill course. Nightmare for the marble drivers.
I'm sorry but can we talk about how Dragon was in last place during the race and sneakily crept up to 5th?!
Laughs in mercedes
I agree, they seemed stuck in last place for a while, tough track to pass on, but once they got out of last they just kept chipping away.
Great comeback
Mercedes dominated and it's hard to disagree. They took two marbles in one corner.
Dragon has a good strategy, but clearly it is not bringing home any trophies. I hope they come up with something because I need them to win.
A 90° left immediately after attack mode is asking for trouble!
Yeah and the Sausage kerbs doesn't help.
Agreed. The track design has to take to least some blame for that. There's only so much you can do at that speed, when marbles are all bunched up.
Yeah I cannot believe the organisers didn't think that corner would lead to trouble! It's outrageous to see the marbles risks their lives on a track that has been designed by clowns! Everyone with only a little bit of IQ would know that the attack mode placement was incorrect. The long straight after sector 1 was a much better position!
@@stijnhandgraaf3914 jeeez...are you losing your marbles? And all these complaints yet just a marble fell off. People seriously need that chill pill.
Yeah, I don’t think Envision Virgin did anything wrong; it was a track-caused accident.
I love how much Mercedes seems a shark hunting down the prey, I can only imagine what could the others marbles think seeing this kind of a beast chunking out pieces of road and milliseconds sector after sector until they get overtaken.
Mercedes is really showing off the power and the high level of racing ability.
Greg's explanation of the Drivers eye footage does explain how Momomomo hasn't been the same since the horrific accident in 2017 Marble League.
NO PENALTY FOR RAMMING A DRIVER OFF THE TRACK!
Come on Jelle.
It wasn't the driver's fault.
@@hellfun1337 Shure it wasn't. The decision had nothing to do with the sponsor. #JusticeForAudi
I've never been more concerned for the wellbeing of a marble than after the Momomomo accident! Such a brutal event.
Now I have to go back and watch the 2017 marble league just to see what you mean.

Wow. Even when sabotaging other racers, Envision still can't catch a break

You guys are all wrong, this is MARBULA-E goddammit! Have some respect for the competition.

Bein an Audi fan just hurts man
And after they gained so many positons as well
Mercedes played incredibly today, he had a rough start qualifying 11th, but climbed all the way up into 2nd! Well done Mercedes!
I do hope that Audi is okay after suffering such a rough fall, my thoughts go out to the team
OK but can we talk about how Dragon went from last place to 5th?
Exactly. They learned their lesson with the last race. 1st to immediately drop down low.
Mercedes went from second-to-last to 2nd, so that was very cool as well!
@@therealbricker they were actually last for a bit near the beginning of the race!
I know right? agonizingly slow start but boy did the dragon roar in those final 4 laps
aint that the truth! I originally cheered for dragon because their marble is easy to see in the crowd but now I am all in and even though this has been not all that great for them so far they're getting better! I have 0 idea about the actual racing stuff and Formula E but this is great!
That's the second time in three races that Techeetah's lost spots by hitting a curb. Need to have better track awareness.
I am starting to dislike Mercedes just as much as in F1.

It's freaking OP, even as a glass marble
Yeah I thought after qualification they finally had a back of the pack finish coming to them. But oh no somehow they rolled their way to a podium.
I think the mercedes marble is made in heavier than others so it can speed up in straight

Prayers for Audi, that was an enormous crash. Hopefully everyone involved is granted strength and hasty recovery.
The disciplinary committee is such a joke. That was clearly a push and Envision should have been disqualified. I smell corruption.
@@Tarune right that was very blatant, outrageous!
Looks like Marbula E will return sometime in August, since this is an offseason project for Jelle's Marble Runs.
Its now back.

Well, since the qualifying race in Paris, I picked Mercedes, and I really am super excited for their superbly consistent form!!! That exceptional overtakes was mind blown! IMO the best race of the season! Love that last curve, loved seeing the different strategies where some tried to use the inside track only to lose too much speed in the qualifying.
I also can't believe there was no penalty. You can clearly see there was no attempt at slowing down or changing course. A clear ram and tackle.

Yeah. It probably spewed alot of swearing words, like DiGrassi or Abt would against Bird or Frijns.
I think envision took the "attack mode" a bit too seriously
I watched Mercedes all the way through, and that comeback was amazing.
But most importantly, THE COMMENTARY IS JUST SPECTACULARLY GOOD!!!!!!!! So clever, so hilariously serious about such silliness. I love it sooo much.
Cant beat that maneuver at 10:16!!!
hell yeah thanks for the support
This is the most glorious ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Formula e teaming up with marble racing
Looks like Envision suffered some damages from that crash as well.
The damage is the only reason I'm not calling for deeper investigation after that cursory glance at the actions of a sponsorship racer; the damage they suffered for their terrible tactics will be a better deterrent for future dirty rollers than a slap on the wrist from the racing commission could ever be.
Looks like the wheels locked up there. We're wishing a speedy recovery to the Audi marble.
I know it's not your fault Envision I forgive what you done. Let's just hope that Audi marble will recover 😔

Seeing that pike on the attack board, I figured there's gonna be an accident.
Turns out, it was the slope, not the spike that caused it. F for Audi. Hope the marble's okay.
During qualifiers I saw all the marbles jump up after that attack and just knew someone was gonna get bumped over the edge
Also, that nasty kerb at the outside of Turn 5 proved the perfect launching pad, should a marble come in too hot. Not high enough to fly off on your own, but if you get bumped by another oncoming marble while airborne...
