Looks so yummy! I didn't get any dressin' this Thanksgiving (because I'm picky and don't eat sausage in it) so I think im going to make a small batch like yours and just dig in! ....with a whole CAN of cranberry sauce! Your dressing looks delicious! Wish I had some now. I was curious about why you cook your dressing part way. I’ve never done that. I usually put mine together, refrigerate, then cook the whole thing on Thanksgiving day.

There are so many ways to make dressing. I love the celery and onions in mine. But my family has always cooked the onions and celery in broth and butter, before we add them.

I love dressing, but I don’t want meat in mine. My sweet mother in law ask me where is the chicken. I told her we had turkey and ham and I just made dressing. She just couldn’t understand. Bless her she had started getting dementia. She was a sweetheart. She lived with us three years.

It looks delicious! I cook my onions in with my bread, and add my eggs too. I use celery and cream of chicken soup also, but we don’t do sage.
