I am always so flabbergasted that an opera star of Jonas Kaufmann’s calibre, with 30 years' of experience - most of which has been at the very top of the Tenor Mount Olympus - takes the time and effort to talk to his interviewers and, therefore, fans in such an honest, open and natural way. There is none of the pretentiousness and self-aggrandisement that you find in so many other superstars. Whenever I hear him speak its like he's the boy next-door with a bit of sparkle thrown in. Considering he really is a megastar, genius and Maestro, who has given us so much over the years with his music and his knowledge, I think it is beyond wonderful that he has stayed so grounded and that amongst his greatest achievements is that of being a wonderful husband and father. He is such a lovely, genuine man and I am proud to be a fan of his.

Ahora una cosa es cantar en otro idioma ,conociendo lo que estás diciendo y otra muy diferente ,tu caso ,porque te he escuchado en reportajes pasar de un idioma a otro con tremenda soltura y además en tus interpretaciones en otros idiomas que no sea el alemán ,no se notan ,ni vestigios del sonido de aquel . Cantas en italiano ,francés ,inglés ,con una perfección que otros ,no tienen .
