I just wanna say regarding Burnie and his remarks about Guardians of the Galaxies, you might think they're second tier superheros, but that's exactly what was said about "Iron Man". He wasn't the biggest mainstream marvel character when they decided to make a feature film on him, I think its worked out really well for them.
1:38:06 Jesus Christ, Gavin's nose lines up perfectly with the white triangle behind him, and I thought all of it was his nose and my sweat was like ice water
My favorite combo is nearly the same; replace Barbara with Joel. (With Geoff/Griffon not being available as a choice) (Barbara still a close 2nd, and awesome.)
I think the face barbara made when she said "Because one sounds like thumb" she was so damn proud of her thumb bein out in the air n'shit and fuckin no one noticed It was damn hilarious.
1:02:00 "I wouldn't choose mayonnaise on anything". (Hard Cut) "I love mayonnaise on sandwiches". I lost count of how many times Gavin has contradicted himself on the RT podcast. Also, It's pretty funny when people make videos that put the contradictions together like Gus's pumpkin comments and Gavin's mayonnaise comments.
Well, that's not really a contradiction. I like mayonnaise myself, I'd eat it if it was given to me without my knowledge. But I would never deliberately choose to have it put on my food.
I had a lucid dream once after I finished the anime Fullmetal Alchemist and I was sticking philosopher stones in my ear and gaining weird powers, it was so real.
Also quoting reddit here. "The digestive system is one, long, uninterrupted tube. We are basically a human donut." I'm going to go consult The Helix Fossil about it.
For those who are interested in the talk about personality and brains: Your brain cells carry an electrical impulse. To pass this impulse between cells they release transmitters to other cells. Little receptors on the cells detect these and create their own impulse. Everytime this happens the cell creates more receptors. The more receptors you have between two cells, the faster impulses carry, the easier it is to remember something. Our personality is a combination of memories. (Note this is a simplified version, I'm sure it's more complicated but this is how I know it.)
Barbara's observation dreams make sense when you pay attention to here role on the podcast. She rarely talks and usually just reacts or throws in one-liners when she contributes. She is mostly observing.
DenzaMan Haven't seen hoop snakes in ages, though theres bush near my area, but unfortunately only the stupid hoons and bogans venture into Drop Bear territory
well i live in australia on the edge of a swamp and the guys across the street are basically right on the edge and they get a few snakes, lucky im not on that side of the street
I had a dream once when Freddy Krueger was trying to kill me, but after I realized that it was a dream I started fighting back and we had a big epic battle in a city before I killed him.
I can see myself having a similar dream, but knowing how odd my mind is I wouldn't dream of awesome weapons or powers... I'd probably just dream up Cthulhu and look at Freddy and give him the finger as I walk away slowly to the sound of him being torn apart... that would be one fuckin awesome dream.
Ayy lmao, Burnie got a Sydney Rooster's hat on. Also, people building 5 new houses around me, 5:30am they're all parked on the side of the streets with their utes, hammering and drilling.
Answer to Gavin's personality question at around 12:30, personality is reaction to personal experience. Personality is most easily explained as how you react to things, how you react to things is mostly influenced by memory. When an event occurs, certain paths are taken by electric pulses. Usually the stronger, or more frequently it occurs, the thicker the paths become. For example, you have something different for breakfast every morning, it's difficult to keep track of what you had this morning, why? Because the paths strengthened by doing things, and if its constantly been uneventful, then the memory will be that of eating and being in the same place. The paths based on taste, smell, and sight of what you ate are weaker because they're used less. Example of stronger memories; if you're licked by your friends dog, you may easily forget. If you're attack by a bear (and survive) your brain keeps that memory in case of this event happening again, what to do in order to survive. So overall, to answer his question, personality is sometimes altered due to the strengthened paths losing too much oxygen and dying, to where others may receive the needed amount to survive, losing memories and altering how they react to day to day stimulation due to memory loss. I'm not an expert in this field, but I've enjoyed researching this a couple months ago. If you've read this far....congrats. Get yourself something nice.
Jaru not when you dont want pictures like that to be shown to the public. Thats an invasion of privacy especially when people just repost it everywhere (cough) tumblr (cough)
Nicolas Berrios yeah i still dont get the big deal if i had a smoking hot girlfriend and i had a photo of me and her cuddling then i dont care where that ends up put it on pornhub for all i care lol
About pushing the button or you'll die. I've read that in WW2 russian captured an Waffen-SS soldier and when they heard that he could play the piano, they said that as long as he can play the piano, they won't shoot him. The poor fellow played the piano almost 24 hours straight and after he couldn't play it anymore due to exhaustion, they said that it was a good effort and then they carried out with the plan.
Yeah, yeah, russian soldiers were bad, nazis were victims. I'm so tired of listening that bullshit over and over again... OK, nazism is bad, right? Right! But who is bad guys - nazis or soviets? SOVIETS of course! Don't you think there's no logic? My grandfathers fought for the freedom of our country, against nazism. And listening such bullshit is obnoxiously.
lambodiablogtr Being born in Russia to a family that has been in the military machine for centuries, I can attest that Russian brutality can reach levels far worse than most countries can even dream up [Though I believe brutality is necessary, even obligatory in war]. Yes, the Nazis were awful, deplorable people and the crimes they've committed have little contest, but just because the Allies fought them and won doesn't make the atrocities committed by other countries disappear, no matter how much you hate hearing about them. More death was caused by Stalin and communism than Hitler, Pol Pot, and even Mao. Going off on someone on the internet just because they inadvertently hurt your gentle feelings makes you look like a petulant child, and if you can be offended that easily you shouldn't interact with people at all.
However there is no known mechanism for it to happen. The schwarzchild radius of the earth, or the size you would have to compress the earth into to make a black hole is about the size of a nucleus.
Once my friend literally had earwax oozing from one of his ears, and seeing as I'm a huge clean ear freak and q-tip just about every day I INSTANTLY threw up.
Oh my gosh... the run down the hill out of an airplane thing is so unbelievably stupid. It doesn't matter if you get the angle right, you'd be falling so fucking fast that you would just splatter on impact with the ground. You would never get your legs moving at the speed you need to run at the same speed your falling. And if you landed on one leg, it would just fly the fuck off and you'd bleed out in minutes! Freaking The Flash is the only person who could ever attempt that. And sense he's not real, no one will ever be able to do that.
***** Lol Lucky, you seem really passionate about my idiocy for someone who's never met me That wasn't a hateful comment. RT and Gavin specifically are my absolute most favorite thing to do for entertainment, but there's a reason they play Gavin vs Google. Because they think his dumb comments are really dumb. Chill out
I have to agree with Gavin on his theory. I have thought the same thing, too. If the hill was at the right angle, you could just barely hit it and slide down it. Eventually it would flatten out and you would slow down. Right?
But you guys did say stuff that suggested you didn't think much of Rugby players. Burnie and Jack said they wouldn't be able to cope with a game of American Football and Jack said Rugby players weren't built for strength.
Thunderbolt22A10 My point is that they often start arguments/discussions with nobody on the other side. It's frustrating to hear one side of an argument with nobody there to argue the other side, you must understand that.
badarbiter His friends are also pretty funny though :) I didn't know about any of this haha, I prefer the short format actually, it takes more time to edit which I always appreciate good editing, and it lets me watch all his new stuff before work in the morning.
As a self proclaimed sandwich connoisseur (and brit) let me explain mayo vs salad cream. mayo has a lot more oil, its thicker so you spoon it usually, its white also. salad cream is more yellow and must have more vinegar as its a lot more tarte/sour and more liquidy. egg sandwiches in shops are usually made with mayonnaise and cress but try it with salad cream and chives instead it amazing :D
YES, I wonder if they read the braille on the window down switch in the car before they reach out to read the terminal... What class license is set aside for the people that read braille? Puzzling!
i love how no one picked up on Burnie's inception reference when he said "I wonder if this is true or if it's just an idea someone planted in my head " lol
What's so weird about having mayonnaise with salad, particularly in a sandwich? Is this another bizarre British/American culture clash or just the personal taste of the people on the podcast?
I used to think Gus was kinda cranky and really didn't enjoy his company during the podcasts, but damn, he's hella funny and is starting to grow on me, lol.
The difference between salad cream and mayonnaise is that, salad cream is a yellow condiment based on an emulsion of water, egg yolk and spirit vinegar. While mayonnaise is a sauce, with stable emulsion of oil, egg yolk, vinegar or lemon juice.

Anybody ever get "stuck" in a dream? I remember when I had pneumonia I knew I was in a dream but couldn't wake up, I tried pinching myself, it hurt, but I couldn't wake up. I ended up just chilling in the dream for a while
Quinn Slattery Every night when you go to sleep your body goes into "sleep paralysis", it pretty much paralyzes your body so you dont act out your actions in your sleep like you can see a dog do sometimes. Your body was still in that state even though you were lucid in the dream. If that ever happens again try manipulating your breathing to wake up if it scares you, or explore the dream world :)
Okay this happened to me for real the other day. I was asleep for like an hour and I wasn't really dreaming but I was aware that I was asleep. I could hear the TV and I tried to get up over and over again. Eventually I got up but I was exhausted.
Like I totes agree I h8 the way tht ppl tlk now its so uneducated I just wish tht ppl wud take the time to write out their thoughts. Like furrealzies it gets uber annying grrr..
kaleb jones No. But the way you were saying how you hate it when ppl tlk lik th1s while doing it yourself made me think you wanted to start an argument of some sort.
I'm glad I'm watching this episode because the other night I had a dream where I was reading something perfectly fine and thought of this when I woke up and needed to mention somewhere that Burnie was wrong.
Still hilarious 8 years later. I’ll be listening to these on my death bed lol
Gavin: "I think uh, Saturn also floats"
Burnie: "On What!?"
for what ever reason I just laughed my ass off.
Boy were they wrong about Gaurdians of the Galaxy lol
?
***** His English is fine.
You criticize my spelling and then write "mean't?"
lmao I love these proper arguments.
''You write mean't?''
''yeah.. irony''
''hugggsssss''
Everyone on this comment thread can't fucking speak english.
Gus: "the binotic period?"
Gavin: "sounds gross"
Hahahaha
watching these whilst in bed is the shit...
FUCK YEAH...
1:38:06 Jesus Christ, Gavin's nose lines up perfectly with the white triangle behind him, and I thought all of it was his nose and my sweat was like ice water
The main reason I watched this is to find out how that water spot came back every night.
God look how young everyone is. I miss these days.
01:00:47 Salad cream goes back this far? Amazing.
Gavin, you don't burp from your lungs.
You burp from your esophagus
Burps come from your stomach. Both burps and breaths pass through the esophagus.
Yes. I know that. Gavin doesn't
YES MY FAV COMBO! Gus, Gavin, Barbara, and Burnie :)
and Gus!
My favorite combo is nearly the same; replace Barbara with Joel. (With Geoff/Griffon not being available as a choice) (Barbara still a close 2nd, and awesome.)
Account28001 I like ja..
My favorite combo: Gus, Gavin, Jack or (Michael), and Burnie :p
"I've got a spaceship and a lot of ambition, let's do it" should be the next t shirt
I always love when this group gets together
"Anal hygiene isn't what it was"

what happened to that water on your floor, it never came back
Half life 3 confirmed
I think the face barbara made when she said "Because one sounds like thumb" she was so damn proud of her thumb bein out in the air n'shit and fuckin no one noticed It was damn hilarious.
Burps don't come from the lungs
Yeah who does not know that.
Stephan Osther Apparently, Gavin doesn't.
The conversation about rocks killed me. Too funny.
If you think a call center is bad I live next to a tank range and a air force base
1:13:11 Look at Barbara's face. "Awwwwww shiii"
1:02:00
"I wouldn't choose mayonnaise on anything".

"I love mayonnaise on sandwiches".
I lost count of how many times Gavin has contradicted himself on the RT podcast. Also, It's pretty funny when people make videos that put the contradictions together like Gus's pumpkin comments and Gavin's mayonnaise comments.
they spoke of you people. I now witnessed it first hand
Well, that's not really a contradiction. I like mayonnaise myself, I'd eat it if it was given to me without my knowledge. But I would never deliberately choose to have it put on my food.
Salad Cream tastes alot different, I use it with everything, salad, chicken, sandwhiches....even works well with some veggies.
Really enjoyed watching/listening to that, makes revision a hell of a lot easier and less boring!
The best phrase I ever heard is this.... "While you're trying to capture the moment, you're missing it."
I've been waiting for this....View 41?...EVERYONE LOVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no idea what you just said, but ok!
honestly i was really looking forward to hearing about Gavin's water drop.
At least I can't run in my dreams lol. I often see dreams in where I am chasing someone or being chased and then I just can't run or walk properly.
I love the placebo effect that Burnie has with the dreams. Since he believes he can't read in dreams, he can't.
I had a lucid dream once after I finished the anime Fullmetal Alchemist and I was sticking philosopher stones in my ear and gaining weird powers, it was so real.
***** That would've been fucking terrifying!!!
i had a dream where i was being chased by alien kkk. And im white
My fucking god...
I like re watching the casts a week later xD
Where is the rooster? I have a bread to pick with him.
Also quoting reddit here.
"The digestive system is one, long, uninterrupted tube. We are basically a human donut."
I'm going to go consult The Helix Fossil about it.
29:29 what Burnie is describing is an object's schwarzschild radius.
1:10:50 Gavin always comes to weird conclusions but I love the faces that Barbara and Gus have when he's explaining this xD
I love how the Guardians of the Galaxy comics are actually pretty famous inside the Marvel universe but completely unknown on the outside.
Yes Gavin, we burp from our lungs...
1:46:29 The Horse Puncher's sidekick was just training.

Salad Cream and Mayonnaise are totally different
Barbara's observation dreams make sense when you pay attention to here role on the podcast. She rarely talks and usually just reacts or throws in one-liners when she contributes. She is mostly observing.
I think I realise why Australians [me included] are generally nice people, because if we piss anybody off, we won't survive the beach.
That and every animal here can kill you easily
Cathy Margin Gotta watch out for them Drop Bears and Hoop Snakes. Glad I don't live in the bush at least.
DenzaMan Haven't seen hoop snakes in ages, though theres bush near my area, but unfortunately only the stupid hoons and bogans venture into Drop Bear territory
i live in the bush, and a snake killed my dog. welcome to Australia :/
well i live in australia on the edge of a swamp and the guys across the street are basically right on the edge and they get a few snakes, lucky im not on that side of the street
The horse tackling story has got to be an animated adventure hahaha
This was an Awesome, Educational, and thought provoking Podcast, Thanks Gents, and Barbara
I had a dream once when Freddy Krueger was trying to kill me, but after I realized that it was a dream I started fighting back and we had a big epic battle in a city before I killed him.
Pretty sick lol
BUT IF YOU DIE IN THE DREAM YOU DIE IN LIFE!!! D:>

ATTENTION RT MERCH BRANCH: ...can you please make an "Absolute Hard" Shirt. please please PLEASE!
What was the leaked facebook photo of gavin?
Its a picture of Gavin and Meg together cuddling. If I'm correct.
ShinyHorse11 Thats it? hmmm idk why he would be upset about that lol if i was cuddling with her i would want the whole world to see shes beautiful
Jaru not when you dont want pictures like that to be shown to the public. Thats an invasion of privacy especially when people just repost it everywhere (cough) tumblr (cough)
Nicolas Berrios yeah i still dont get the big deal if i had a smoking hot girlfriend and i had a photo of me and her cuddling then i dont care where that ends up put it on pornhub for all i care lol

this is my favourite podcast lineup :)

14:00 animated adventure scene
hindsight is 20/20 but I do love how wrong Bernie and Gus were about guardians of the galaxy
these last two podcasts have been some of the funniest so far. Damn i've never laughed so hard.
Love them ragging on Guardians of Galaxy, now it's one of the best trilogies in the MCU
29:50 Technically anything can become a black hole if squeezed into a small enough space.
However there is no known mechanism for it to happen. The schwarzchild radius of the earth, or the size you would have to compress the earth into to make a black hole is about the size of a nucleus.
Kyle Brown I was going to make a dick joke, but you know what, this comment looks to nice to ruin with a dick joke.
Just a quick mental calculation
Kyle Brown That's not true. Mount Everest's schwarzschild radius is about the size of a peanut. Therefore, the Earth's must be, a lot bigger.
Is there going to be a Team Angryfat shirt? I hope so.
Once my friend literally had earwax oozing from one of his ears, and seeing as I'm a huge clean ear freak and q-tip just about every day I INSTANTLY threw up.
18:35 best part I've ever seen so far in all of the podcasts
Been on a RT Podcast kick lately and wow, I miss these days so much :(
Oh my gosh... the run down the hill out of an airplane thing is so unbelievably stupid.
Who made you the expert of running down hills!
Wow. "Sense he's not real". The irony.

Joel Thomas Hahahaha you make a good point, but Gavin's no expert either
I have to agree with Gavin on his theory. I have thought the same thing, too. If the hill was at the right angle, you could just barely hit it and slide down it. Eventually it would flatten out and you would slow down. Right?
But you guys did say stuff that suggested you didn't think much of Rugby players. Burnie and Jack said they wouldn't be able to cope with a game of American Football and Jack said Rugby players weren't built for strength.
dude, that wasn't their main point, just drop it

nah man, i think that was there point exactly
i didn't like mustard as a kid either, i guess its the condiment for adults.
The Horse Puncher has been taken to a whole new level.
LMFAO BURNIE. "What happened to the water droplet on your floor?" "it was Hitler..."
i love seananners don't get me wrong, its just i don't like how he's made his videos like at max 4 minutes long
If they were any longer, a lot of people would call it boring...
I love seananners, so I subscribed to his friends that I want to watch and watch him that way, basically
The69criscris and he does Live Streams that are usually around 2 hours long
ImagineHatter sweet
badarbiter His friends are also pretty funny though :)
I didn't know about any of this haha, I prefer the short format actually, it takes more time to edit which I always appreciate good editing, and it lets me watch all his new stuff before work in the morning.
Their lack of knowledge of Marvel Comics is painful...
"Landing the Titan is so easy in that game." Didn't you need Trevor's entire landing strip to land a crop duster?
fairly certain he said it was easy after practice. plus the crop duster is more agile so it's easier to crash.
Braille on drive-thru ATMs amuses me.

Another amazing thought by Gavin Free. "Since phones, the human race as a whole has crusty anuses."
"You can't play video games if you're blind."
-Barbara Dunkelman, 2014
You just need braille, duhhh
So can someone direct me to the part when Burnie says "Ray is stoned 24/7 and watches porn" please? Need to have a hard laugh lol
(Off topic) Does Ray actually smoke pot? :p
darwin poop he smokes weed every day, day, day way
darwin poop Doubt it.
i don'tthink he would or should ever say he loses audience if he says he does, and if he doesn't he keeps the stoner audience :D
Helen Kellar Ray doesn't even drink, do people really think he'd get stoned?
i love how no one picked up on Burnie's inception reference when he said "I wonder if this is true or if it's just an idea someone planted in my head " lol
Slowly stretching the podcast to 2 hours I approve of this motion
Can we take a moment to realize that Gavin said "how did the air get in his lungs to burp" and no one corrected him
What's so weird about having mayonnaise with salad, particularly in a sandwich? Is this another bizarre British/American culture clash or just the personal taste of the people on the podcast?
49:30 They broke away from IWNET and....respawned YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

kaleb jones No.
I had a plane that was delayed 3 days, thanks Thimas Cook. One of the times we were taking off when a fault happened.
Someone please tell me why they think Guardians of the galaxy looks bad? It looks fantastic to me
I think its too silly for them. Talking racoon and all that :P And to Gus it seems that everything that doesn't work for him is "stupid"
***** Fair enough, its his opinion. It looks awesome to me though
