I said "already" because I'm not surprised that she is old, after 35 years it's normal and I wouldnt personally say already. I think she was more 50 in 1984, she was married two times before meeting Karl, and she looked like she was 40 in 1974 when she bought the house

I feel like the line "Once I stopped worrying about money" is ending a different story than the one we saw with Simone. There were some money problems, but the heart of the actual story we witnessed would have been better tied off by "Once I stopped caring about what other people think."
She also was money conscious. A few things can be true at the same time

I just watched the show and there’s a scene with her and Tommy where she mentions she was not rich growing up and intentionally wanted to marry into wealth and have a luxurious lifestyle. Going after rich men was probably why she was twice divorced before Karl. Towards the end, you see her sell off her valuables in order to pay for Karl’s treatments and it shows how much growth she’s had throughout the show 🥲 I think the line makes sense.
Simone is the diva we all need and deserve. She is the muse that inspires fine art. She was hands down the most intriguing character of Why Women Kill (As much as I loved Beth Anne) She ultimately did it for love. Her story made me cry the hardest. Oh dearest Karl...

Tbh I prefer this version where they’re not together. What they had was sweet but ultimately they’re very different people at very different stages of life, and each with very different aspirations and goals. It would’ve been cute if they were together romantically here, don’t get me wrong, but I love that they’re not because its more realistic this way. Separately they’re each able to achieve their respective goals better than if they were together imo
And unrealistic. The age gap between them is too big. She also didn’t love him, just used him as a tool.
@@sunnyday4055 Their age gap is what makes this unrealistic and is the reason why they’re incompatible (different stages of life, etc as I mentioned above).
That said, I do not think Simone was just using him. If she just wanted something sexual, she could’ve went for almost anyone, so why him? As much as she has her flaws, she is and always have been genuine when expressing her feelings, which is why I think the only reason why she engaged in this relationship is bc she had love for him. Their age gap IS definitely problematic, but I definitely think she loved him.
I don’t think it would’ve been good if they were STILL a couple all the way since the 80’s. That being said, if they reunited shortly before or shortly after the sale of the estate? That I think would’ve rang truer. He would’ve been around the age she was when their affair started, no one could say he was a child and manipulated if they got together when he was in his 50’s and she in her 80’s. 🤷🏽♂️

@@davidgaveston654 Mansions like that are almost build the same...there is a Dinning Room,a living Room across and a grant staircase...both shows used the same Exterior and the Pool but the inside of WWK Mansion ( 3 versions of the Mansion) was build on a soundstage at Warner Bros. in 2019 and BroNSis inside was build a decade before...they may look a like for you coz of the Floor plan but they are not the same house....

Yup, everything took place in the same house, just in different times. For example during the end of Beth Anne's story during the commotion, you'd see Simone and Karl dancing, which they did during their last day together in there.
