We're back next week with One Piece Part 23!
OK so this was movie 5.
I caught the last fight and that was about it; then forgot the name before I found out which movie.
Glad you finally reached it.
But in truth its the next movie I am most interested in seeing your thoughts on... movie 6 is just that unlike the norm.
Of course Strong World and past that are all the popular movies so definitely look forward to them; but of the ones Strong World overshadows (in my mind at least) its this and movie 6 I was most looking forward to.
The true most anticipated movie is a toss up between Film Red and Film Gold tho as they were my faves.
OK so at the point where the 3 pearls are set down is where I came into the movie.
I am impressed by how good the movies have always been... some I definitely do not click with but the ones I do certainly leave me wanting to see the stuff get added to the cannon of the main story.
I mean Saga being a true marine that pops up later and Zoro just mentions the sword as giving this movie credit would be enough for me.
Nice to have a Zoro centric movie, he's usually a stoic rock for the others to bounce off, the ultimate straight man. This allows him to stretch his protagonist muscles a bit. The awesome thing about One Piece is that everyone feels like the protagonist of their story, even the villains. No one is an accessory to anyone else.
NEXT IS MOVIE 6 OH MY GOD
Kind of genuinely gasped when Sanji’s arm got hurt. You can give him all the torso damage you want, he seems to have infinite health when it comes to his torso. But the arms are off limits! He needs his hands, Damnitt! I don’t know if he’s ever even injured his hands/arms in the canon since he keeps them well protected

I wish they were more popular like the main series,I think if people understand how difficult it is copyright wise they'd watch them more xD Toei guard their movies like they're the literal One Piece haha. I remember the first movie I edited like 46 times or something : (
One Piece's movies are always bangers..... but man, the 6th movie is gonna be A SPECIAL CASE!

About win 20:
This is Lieutenant Commander Drake. He was first introduced in "Dead End Adventure" (as you very well remembered 👍) and we see him again here in "The Cursed Holy Sword".
Around 3 months later, in anime episode 196 (in the G8 filler arc) we see him again. We find out his name and rank and that he is the second in command officer of the G8 Navy base in Navarone Island.
PS: The movie "The Cursed Holy Sword" was released in March 2004 where episode 196 was aired in June of the same year.
Funny enough I'm now wrapping Part 31 which finishes with episode 196 and I did indeed notice Drake and shout him out for that reason. And that they made him mention the movies which I thought was cool.
Saga's one of the characters i wish could be brought into the anime series even if its only in a filler arc I'd love for zoro to have a rival
This movie was really good. I loved the lore and the damn amazing battle scenes :3
