  • This is soundtrack only (no film) of a missing scene from the 1943 Frank Randle starring vehicle 'Somewhere in Civvies' featuring Suzette Tarri.
    Comedienne Suzette Tarri was well-known in Britain during the 1930s and 40s through her popular BBC radio and stage appearances. 'Somewhere in Civvies' was her only feature film appearance. She was born in 1881 and made her first stage appearance at the Walthamstow Palace in 1905. Her broadcasting career began in 1923 but it would be almost 15 years later at the age of 57 that she became widely known as a solo comedian. At the age of 69, she was support to Danny Kaye during his first London Palladium appearances. Her last radio broadcast was on New Year's Eve 1954 appearing on 'Henry Hall's Guest Night' after which she retired through ill health. She died aged 74 on October 10th 1955.
