It's one of my favourite beaches on the island. There's a little hidden gem halfway down priory beach in the middle in the bushes is a big old lister engine that used to pump water up to the old estate.
Surprised there were no boats anchored off shore.I used to spend the night there anchored offshore ten to fifteen years ago & there were always half a dozen or so yachts anchored off shore from what I can remember.Nice commentary & nice to hear a bit of the history,shall subscribe & hope you have done similar video's of the Isle of Wight.
@@richardlashley672 I also spent a night there that was probably the closest I have come to death & ship wreck in my entire boating career Richard.it happened when I anchored there for the night & the wind swung round & increased directly onshore about three o'clock in the morning. I was inexperienced & I stuck it out hoping that my anchor would hold.Directly downwind was that pile of rocks you showed earlier in your video bordering Seaview.It only held & probably saved my life because it hooked over some odd piece of rope & when I hauled it up beating offshore early in the morning the stock was bent like a banana.
