- My most ambitious project yet. Not only was this a massive learning experience I hope I'm able to keep the hype train going for Dark Deception Chapter 4 which should be releasing real soon. Everything was animated and edited myself although It definitely would have been a nuisance without the help of others.

This is something I wanted to say: I think it really says something about a game when I like the concept of the game more than the actually finished product, instead of a compact maze within a square in zone 1 you have a place that seems like it would be a theme park, you found a clever way to integrate penny’s flying ability by having gaps in the floor to fly across instead of just having her stand in zone 2, and your zone 3 is honestly my favorite with enormous rooms with multiple bridges and catwalks and it makes it look like industrial hell, instead of just tiny hallways with basically nothing to them.
Thank you! Even now that chapter 4 is out I would definitely revise my depiction for zone 1 since this one is very outdated although according to many others this layout is better than the one the game offers. Zone 2 and 3 I'd definitely keep the same, definitely could have used more from zone 3. :)

Manages to do it in like half a second

Everything in this animation (especially the first person style to it) Is just well time spent and the map looks accurate and amazing! Probably one of the best ones I’ve seen so far and the animation is also really long! Good stuff man, 10/10
... O M G. That is the best possible gameplay! Pluses: 1. I love minecraft animations. 2. This is not video with 5 pictures on 10 minutes. It's real like gameplay. Chase animations. Minuses: only 5 minutes and chase was on 2 minutes. But that is really cool!

If you look in the BTS video it shows a good bit of the map. One thing I forgot to show was the built map in Minecraft. But yea it's a 1x1 block copy. xD

This was amazing. Better then Christmas Mascots and any other fan game because of how accurate it is to known information. Perhaps if Chapter 4 get delayed again you could make Zone 2, revamp a little of Zone 3 to make sense with this and make a full compilation. That'd be sick.
What scares me about this is that your Zone 1 will be better and the one in the actual game is very stale.
@@impaster2166 that would be the worst case scenario. I do wish I would have started earlier so I could have a fully fletched gameplay with all three zones and Joykill bossfight.
@@impaster2166 after ch.4 releases there wouldn't be a real point in doing any of the other zones. I'd probably just leave it like this.

We don't know for sure but we assume chapter 4 is coming in May at this point. Also love to hear comments like these! Zone 2 animation should be finished soon so subscribe if you don't want to miss that.

Could you make a joy kill boss fight (the design is by your choice) also I'm not saying you have to, it's your decision. Still the animation is awesome
I would love too although chapter 4 is releasing soon. If I would be given a little over a month to make it I would but there is kinda no point in making any more possible gameplays if the chapter is released.

How did you get the skins? I'm trying to find them
Penny and Hangry were custom made. Only the lucky skin is public. You cannot use those skins as your own in Minecraft though. they are not compatible.

I made that map all by hand + World Edit. It probably looks familiar because It looks a lot like the clip we got from the Teaser 01 video.

If chapter 4 gets delayed again then I will. I don't think I will though because I would need at least a months time. If we get the game there wouldn't be a point on finishing it because we would have it.
