I always get so melancholy with these kinds of videos. On one hand they make me feel special and loved and I can relax listening to them, but on the other hand they remind me of how lonely I truly feel. I really hope to overcome myself and find someone special who I can cuddle with in real life, but until then videos like these will carry me through.

Stalin refused to believe that Hitler would do such a thing, and he was far from prepared. Hitler, in his signature move, made large, quick encirclement movements, wiping out tons and tons of troops. Hitler set up concentration camps in the stolen land to unleash his hatred for the Russian people. The city of Leningrad was put under siege which would last 4 years, which the Nazis systematically starved to force the city to surrender, but they would hold strong until their fellow saviors arrived. The Nazis were now quickly approaching the capitol, Moscow. But as the Nazis were zeroing in, winter fell, and ice and sleet fell everywhere. The Germans could literally see the city of Moscow, but at that point tens of thousands were freezing to death. Then, Stalin called in troops specially trained to fight in extreme weather, and they tore the Nazis up. The Nazis were forced to fall back, dig into defensive positions, and wait for spring. When spring came in 1942, Hitler changed strategy. He planned to cut off the Russians at an area of Southern Russia called the Caucasus, which was full of oil, which was needed for fuel for tanks, cars, planes and trucks. To do so, Hitler had to take the large, industrial city of Stalingrad. The Russians and Nazis both fought hard in the Battle of Stalingrad, the bloodiest battle of the entire war, and possibly even in history. Urban fighting broke out in the city, and the fighting was so brutal and destructive that about 99% of the entire city was turned to rubble. Eventually, the Soviets surrounded Stalingrad, cutting off their food and supplies, and the invading German army had to surrender. Now, in 1943, The Germans were being pushed back, and had to retreat. At this point, thanks to Soviet mass production and conscription, the Soviets had 6 million men, and without a doubt had a massive advantage over the Nazi's 3 million. The Soviets pushed them back on all sides, and finally freed the city of Leningrad in 1944, where they discovered that people had begun cannibalizing each other in order to survive. The Soviets pushed the Nazis back all the way to Berlin in 1945, meanwhile occupying parts of Europe that the Nazis had previously in the war taken, that being Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Romania, Albania, Greece (who would later break from Soviet occupation) and parts of Germany and Austria.
