Suzuki SP 400 1980 . For sale on ebay with 13,000 kms and original tyres and hand grips. VERY CLEAN. Arthur - Young Guns Motorcycles. Katoomba, NSW. July 2014
I owned one back in 1980. It was blue also. Fab bike, great balance and ride comfort. Still dream about it sometimes. A great chic magnet at the time. Be-God! I took full advantage of it too. Took the muffler off it one day for the craic, darn neighbours didn't speak to me for about 2 months afterwards. Still though upon reflection, it gave me some great memories.
Mr Alan, I just restored a '77 TS 185 2 stroke. The little orange bastard pours smoke like a Grateful Dead concert and it's still a chick magnet. First time taking it into town a girl asked me to take her for a ride.
I remember one of my mates had one . He loaded it up with camping stuff and his girl friend and on the way to the bike show the rear wheel collapsed the spoke just gave out.
Just picked up one of these with a straight through exhaust and the fast idle on start scared me a bit but it sounds just like this one! How long should you leave it like this before killing the choke?
I had the 370 all those years ago, still miss that bike.!!
Have a red one with 3k original miles, they are a great classic trail bike, very torquey.
@Andrew Young y isvthat have u tried it i was thinking of buying one ?
good old bike. used to gather sheep on one of those...covering some very rough ground too.
Hi Rob. They are good old timers and thanks for your comment
The power on this bike is impressive.

I agree great bike and awesome power right off idle. This was a true survivor of your generation so hopefully the new owner is kind to it. Many thanks

check the idle adjust and choke should be on from a cold engine provided everything is in good condition for about 30 seconds approx
