People of Earth......Wow, another killer lesson. As a member for three years, I HIGHLY recommend David's Fingerstyle Five membership. As a world-class player and teacher he has an answer for any issue you might have trying to learn this style. At first, it feels awkward getting your fingers and thumb to work independently and together but he has lots of tips to make them do so using slow, easy to understand techniques. As you can see and hear, he's got GROOVE for days. Do you like and want to learn walking bass lines over moving chords? He teaches that also. It's an addicting style to learn and play and thanks to David I can't stop. An intervention would be useless. Did I mention it's FUN. Give him a try.......you're welcome😁😁
Totally agree. I’m a member, too, and I’m slowly making my way through the many great resources and lessons on there. You get way more value than the price-more than worth it!
Great laid-back comfy insights again - brilliant stuff, and so refreshing to hear these alternating bass fingerstyle grooves not to be referred to as "Travis-picking" and the credit given where it is due - those old pre-Travis blues and roots players!!
Great lesson, and YES! Absolutely LOVE Andrew Hickey’s amazing podcast, A History Of Rock Music In 500 Songs. I’ve obsessively listened to every single episode, I have the books and I’m reading the transcripts, and I support the podcast on Patreon. It’s THAT good!
Im going to save this so I can go over it later, only got my tele with full strings on at the mo, you recon that'll work? got a bit of a Waits/Ribbot groove to it doesn't it?
Great explained! If someone would like to improve his fingerstyle technique, I definately recommend joining the fingerstyle five lessons from David Hamburger.
There are very, very few great players and teachers with the ability to engage and convey guitar concepts like you! Always outstanding.
For me the most important is the groove.
And there are your lessons so fantastic!!!
Thank you very much for it!

Unfortunately he has low subscribers because the style is way too hard to focus on for todays youth. But I get what your saying
Wow! By far the best blues lessons around.

Not underrated but rather the technique being underdeveloped.
