Tirrell Edwards sentenced in murder of Amanda Williams: Man gets life in prison

42-year-old Tirrell Edwards has been sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 24 years as Cuyahoga County Common Please Judge Steven Gall announced his decision in the murder of Amanda Williams.
The sentencing came one week after a jury found Edwards guilty of multiple charges in the Warrensville Heights case.
Edwards did not provide a statement during the sentencing hearing.
He had been convicted on two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and one count of domestic violence connected to the deadly shooting. All counts were merged for the purposes of sentencing, however, with the punishment focused on count two -- murder.
The jury found Edwards not guilty of aggravated murder.

And to think that’s a Rail was arrogant in the beginning of this entire situation to believe that he could walk into a police station, show a video and was released, only to be called back to face the consequences of his actions. I pray for peace and solace for Amanda‘s daughter, as well as her son and her grandchildren. Watching her daughters emotional response was heartbreaking with insurmountable pain and I pray for peace. I hope that people understand that violence in a relationship should be classified as a toxic relationship. Lives were lost on both sides and changed forever unnecessarily. This relationship was rooted in violence, and a commitment a failed investment that never gave a positive return. Please, women and men, violence, and love do not go together, so never except them. When someone is willing to harm you, physically, mentally or emotionally see it for what it is, and not what you make it out to be… Toxic and deadly. I will continue to keep this family in my prayers and continue to ask for forgiveness for the offender Mr. Terrell Edwards. This entire situation has broken my heart today.
