I wonder if any of the people in this programme have seen this RUclips recording. Those who were tiny children at the time will now be in their late 40s/early 50s and may like to show it to their children, or even grandchildren.

Lovely harmony - you can tell the good people of Ross don't live very far from Wales - strong voices and great community singing.

I remember Michael Barratt from Nationwide when growing up. Here I would have been seven and not yet a Christian (that happened seven years later at Mission England). Takes me right back to childhood!

I also remember Michael Barratt from Nationwide. You are somewhat younger than me, I would have been 18/19 at the time of this broadcast.I do not know whether Michael Barratt is still alive.

The oldest people here are long deceased born when Queen Victoria was on the throne in the 1890s.

I always, as a kid, laugh at the expressions people had when, during a hymn, they realized the camera was on them.

I remember church in the 70's. Bad breath and farts during hymns, worsted trousers so rigid and abrasive that bending the legs was chafing agony. Itchy home - knitted polar neck woolly jumper. It was clothing of penance and resilience.
