There's more than one ancient library that was victim to a fire. I'd love an episode on all of them. It truly is a tragedy the amount of knowledge that was lost.

Bailey! I have a new idea for a "dark history" podcast/video! Since you had just done a history of the ocean, why not do a dark history of the Deserts of America? Living out in Las Vegas there are many theories about Nevada. Doing tons of research there is something called, the "Nevada Triangle", just like the Bermuda triangle. Where all planes went missing over world war 2! Not to mention, the movie infamous horror movie, 'The Hills Have Eyes' was based on the hills and mountains of Nevada. Since the NTS 1951-1992, Nevada Test Site was a nuclear bomb testing site not that far from Vegas! And people would just watch these bombs go off from their fancy casinos and hotels, thinking nothing of it! And Lake Mead, in the Las Vegas area is finding dead bodies every day since the lake is drying out! And the bodies are way back from the 'Mob' times of Vegas, 1950-70s. I just think it would be a cool idea to talk about it since I'm interested in it myself. And it would be interesting to see your theories and point of view. And I'm sure people would find it exciting to think of anything bad about it since there are millions of visitors every year!!
The idea of a giant sea monsters with tentacles plucking the people off the boat one by one thinking 'oh don't ruin the ship its pretty' is getting me through the day
The ocean is scary asf. I get anxiety just thinking about being in it. I caught this phobia after swimming in a lake a boy drowned in the day we were there. He grabbed my ankle as he was drowning. My cousin's said it was a seaweed monster. Then his mom started freaking out and all the adults got in the water holding hands and found him. It was more traumatic than my molestation. I'll never forget that day or his mother's screams. I HAVE TO SEE MY FEET. That's as far as I'll go in any body of water and not too far either. We live by lake Erie and in the summer there's a sand area at east harbor out 100 to 500 feet. I still won't go too far from shore.
I'm right there with you. I've been on a cruise ship and a few boats as a kid, with my mother, to islands and stuff but I am scared to death of the open ocean I only ever went at all cuz I was a child and my mom was there and she's a big xena the warrios princess kind of lady and I knew she'd fight a whale and a shark for me lol but since then I can't even walk into the ocean

The Bermuda triangle was my favorite thing to read about in grade school, thousands of planes & ships go through the area. I think it has go do with magnetic fields affecting the compasses. That's so sad hearing about all the people going missing, when they send search parties they don't find debris or oil on the water from crashed planes, wonder where it goes.
My Thursday after work ritual revolves around Dark History. The scheduler at my facility asked if I could work over today and I told her I have my online history class. Bailey my friend, you have the knack for spilling the tea!
Bailey, my love, I’ve been binging watching these for like two days and you keep referencing movies and shows that you’ve never seen and THEY NEED TO BE SEEN! You need a movie night!
Ever since I was little, I said fish were aliens 🤣 We're all too busy looking up in the sky, not realizing they've been below us this whole time. Its the perfect cover up lol
It's actually a really fun combo of the Triangle being a place where bad weather usually intensifies, it screws with compasses, and it's over a Trench in the sea. With Flight 19, those aircrafts were built like tanks, so when they ran out of fuel and ultimately had to descend, it's thought now that they sunk directly to the bottom of the trench, where we can't reach. That's why they theorize we've never found them and other victims like it. Very sad end, to be honest. :(
Bailey, it's Crazy that you are doing this!!!! I was on such a Ghost Ship rabbit hole ride about a month ago... Please PLEASE do a video on the Donna Paz. It wnt down after being hit head on by an oil tanker on 12/20/86. In the Philippines. .......4,300 plus people died. 3xs more than the Titanic, and I never even Heard of it till the rabbit hole......
you should do a video on Mohenjo-Daro (loosely translates to hill of the dead)! It was the most advanced civilization of its time (indoor plumbing, loads of jewelry, advanced city planning about 8000 years ago) and then it was all abandoned and ended up buried until 1919
Hi Bailey. I absolutely love your stories. I would love for you to do video on Saartjie Bartman for your dark history. She was a Khoikhoi woman from South Africa in the 19th century. She had a horrible life, she was literally exhibited because of her body. Her remains were only buried in 2002.
Not about the Bermuda Triangle but on the lines of sunken ships. I've been researching about the Sewol Ferry tragedy, and it's break my heart that so many babies went missing of lost their life to this. The ocean is one insane trip that everyone is scared of and corporate companies love to manipulate without regard to the history or new things the ocean has to teach us 💔
I’ve heard about the Mary Celeste, read a book of Finding Atlantis and at some point of my teenage year had been very interested with Bermuda Triangle - BUT still nothing will beat Bailey’s narrative ❤️
Hello Bailey, my wife is a BIG fan and I am a new fan. Another Theory on the Mary Celeste. The alcohol they were transporting was pure alcohol (190 proof) so the distiller could cut it for whatever use they needed. The 9 barrels that were empty actually leaked into the storage area below deck and when discovered the crew, who smelled the fumes, were worried about an explosion, so they opened the ports on deck to try to vent the area. They also (probably) turn off the bilge pumps, so there would not be a spark to set off the fumes, which would lead to standing water in the below deck area.. Then the crew got in the life boats and tied off near the boat to wait till the fumes clear. A wind came up and took, the now deserted Mary Celeste away, and the crew was afraid of be swamped in the life boats and cut the lines. So there would be no entry in the Captain's log concerning this as they probably expected to back on board within a few hours. I believe it was several days ( 4 maybe) from the last log entry until the ship was boarded by the crew of the other ship. In which time and ship with full sails could travel and LONG distance.

I'm in Florida (safe from hurricane Ian) and you're giving us so much entertainment during the power outage right now! (I'm charging my phone in my car right now watching this lol) Thank you Bailey 💖
The Mary Celeste: A few of the casks of liquor opened, they jumped into the life boat and tied it off and tried to ride behind the boat while it airs out. Explains the open hatches, the missing life boat, the everything left intact. This wasn't wine, it was high proof and would be nearly toxic to breath.

Pirates are STILL a threat when you're out there. Only difference is, they're on newer boats. Same idea. They climb aboard, they tie everyone up. Then, they ransack everything.
For the Bermuda triangle, it is very possible that the magnetic energy of the earth has shifted throughout history or possibly solar flares … very cool to learn that that originally sank ship had those medals which would explain why compasses and technology fails in that area & has been fking with everybody so that one’s pretty insane and scary to think that 80% of the ocean is unexplored and yet it is the worlds largest graveyard

I'm thinking 60s
@@aleksandralempart8305 it was the 70s
I can tell you.... The 80's happened
Maritime logistics and the mysteries of the sea, especially back in the earlier times, have always been so fascinating to me. Thanks Bailey 😊

I think Herculaneum was probably surprised first... :P
Bailey, my love, I’ve been binging watching these for like two days and you keep referencing movies and shows that you’ve never seen and THEY NEED TO BE SEEN! You need a movie night!
Yes you absolutely should do a dark history episode on Alexandria and the burning of the library it's very interesting! One of my history favorites
Yay! Another week of Dark History! Bailey you're my idol!
Ever since I was little, I said fish were aliens 🤣 We're all too busy looking up in the sky, not realizing they've been below us this whole time. Its the perfect cover up lol
a fish wrote this
There have been reports of alien spacecraft coming in and out of bodies of water.
There's no such thing as a fish. Qi. Iykyk
Me and my fiancé love listening to you so much! You’re an amazing story teller putting your own personality in it so much! We loves you girl!!
🖤thank you for distracting me from the chaos in Florida right now 🖤 was so relieved to see you post
Are you safe and doing ok?🥺🤍
Hope everything is well with you and your loved ones.
Same here in Jax
Stay safe Dayna Payne! Praying for Florida!
Same! Watching this on my phone since we haven't had power since Wednesday
Oh Bailey 💨 you never cease to keep life mysteriously interesting, with the perfect amount of clever humor 🙏 thank you
I find the ocean so fascinating. This has been by far my favourite Dark History episode so far, thank you so much Bailey!
Bailey -- I am in a deeply depressed phase of life right now. I look forward to all of your video posts. Thank you for all that you do. ❣️❣️
hope everything gets better and u feel better 💗
I hope you feel better if nobody told you I’m proud of you ❤️. Keep being amazing
You've made my day! My sweet father passed away this morning and now I can relax and listen to your voice. Love ya!
So very sorry
So sorry for the loss of your father
I'm so sorry for you and your families loss. Sending healing, love, light and prayers to you.🙏
So sorry for your lost 🙏🏾
So sorry for your loss Godbless ❤
you should do a video on Mohenjo-Daro (loosely translates to hill of the dead)! It was the most advanced civilization of its time (indoor plumbing, loads of jewelry, advanced city planning about 8000 years ago) and then it was all abandoned and ended up buried until 1919
About 5000 years ago, but still amazing.
Ooooo that's interesting

The ocean is one insane trip that everyone is scared of and corporate companies love to manipulate without regard to the history or new things the ocean has to teach us 💔
I'm honestly so interested in the ocean. I would love to hear more stories about it. It's such an unknown place.
Do you know what? I actually really love these now - thank you Bailey, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed! 🖤
I’ve heard about the Mary Celeste, read a book of Finding Atlantis and at some point of my teenage year had been very interested with Bermuda Triangle - BUT still nothing will beat Bailey’s narrative ❤️
The best way to deal with hurricane Ian is with Bailey Sarian and the dark history podcast!!
Be safe
This has been my absolute FAVORITE episode so far!! 😍 This was the type of topic I was hoping for on this show! 😁 Also, your attitude/demeanor on this episode was extra fantastic and hilarious. 😂 I agree with you about the space thing!! I've said those same things to my friends before! Why Mars when there's so much here?! But anyways, this was an amazing episode and I love you for it!! 🥰
I'm in Florida (safe from hurricane Ian) and you're giving us so much entertainment during the power outage right now! (I'm charging my phone in my car right now watching this lol) Thank you Bailey 💖
Please take care ❣️
So glad you’re safe ! It definitely did a lot of damage here !

@@rachelb3895 thank you you too!!
This was one of the best DH episodes to date!! You just keep getting better, Bailey! TYSM for creating! 🤗😊
Another great history story. Thank you thank you Bailey for schooling us better than anyone else
You heard those 39 minutes so fast!
@@mellmurder 🤣🤣🤣 your wrong for that.

I liked bc of your user name 😂
Excuse me miss. Don't look, but that white rice in your salad seems to be moving.
Thank you! Finally ghost stories without politics! Thank you Bailey ❣️
I love the ocean! I want to take picture of it and explore everything! I might take pictures of the first Drangon ever seen!! 🐉🐳🏝
If you've ever been on the ocean in open water when it's pitch black, the water is pitch black, it will bring out fears you never knew you had!
I love mysteries and nothing is better then a mystery story told by Bailey herself. Bailey gurl you are the queen of history gore.
Bailey I have been bingeing for over 10 hours. Each episode-because of you- is spell binding. back when those 5 planes went missing i was young but beyond terrified. Back in the day with only 3 channels. LOL. This was all we heard for what seemed for ever. You are amazing. Tomorrow is Monday!!! A new episode we all shall wait with abated excitement. You are THE best.
Thalassa is the Ancient Greek Goddess of the deep sea. The fear of the ocean is taken from Her name. Joan swiped Poseidon’s trident…she is serious about her costumes 🤗. Loving story time with you Bailey.🖤🇨🇦
Mama Bailey coming in clutch for my lunch break! I love Dark History so much
Bailey is right on time, unlike so many creators. Love that for her. And for us
just enjoy the content and don't be shady for no reason!!!!!
@@asmokeus no shadiness detected here, she's just showing appreciation for a youtuber uploading on time. it's true that a lot of youtubers don't upload on the time schedule they say they will.
@@asmokeus huh? Literally praising Bailey. Chill
I came across your podcast last year. I enjoy your videos! A few subject suggestions I have:
1. Robert the doll
2. Shadow people/the hatman
3. Skinwalker ranch
What are your 5 favorite podcasts?
definitely my favourite dark history episode so far !!!
Go Bailey she just made a super smart theory about that ship being "magically abandoned" and about how we found atlantis already ! My mind is blown right now!!❤❤
YESSS!! Here for all the dark history 📖🕯
This is one of my favorite dark history episodes loved it 😀
Same! I feel like because it's covering more light hearted topics than usual and has a lot of mystery and speculation to it...
There is another place eerily similar to the Bermuda triangle right off the coast of China called the Devil's triangle. You should check that one out and do a whole episode on just these two. I would be ecstatic
but isnt that near japan tho?
“you could have gobbled him right up” 😂 @christopher columbus 🖕🏼🖕🏼
You right girl, you right! this was such an awesome episode! Thank you Bailey! ❤
I have always loved old Ghost ship stories.
Great episode love.
I love how we all can sit around in some PJs and enjoy stories from the lovely Ms.Sarian 🌷💞 feels like some are you afraid of the dark type stuff 😆 serious nostalgia 💚 love it!
I'm so excited!!! I have been obsessed with the Bermuda Triangle phenomenon since I was a kid, I've been hoping Bailey would do a video on it 💜🖤
1:06 when you said "nailed it" I laughed so hard my whole work office turned around and stared at me🤣🤣
Bailey I am gonna need a dark history on pet stores like pet smart and places like it
I wish y’all could hear my commentary to every dark history episode 😂😂anyways somewhere I always end up sayin “now Bailey…” “girl bye” “there she go on her bs 😂” love her humor😘
thank u bailey for making every thursday better
Never needed my Bailey more than I need her today! ❤❤❤❤
i love your videos bailey! they help me concentrate on work and sometimes i just watch for fun!
This is my fave dark history so far. Different stories of a theme ❤
Joan as Poseidon is everything 😂
Learned more here then I ever did in school🤧 Thank u Bailey 🖤
Joan’s little trident made my day.
Loved hearing these stories, urban legends of the sea have always been interesting to me. One of my favorite ghost-ship stories is about the SS Ourang Medan. If you haven’t heard of it I encourage you to look up, it’s a real goose-bumper!
imma be late to my own funeral but I'm sure on time every week for DH & MMM 🤦🏼♀️
I love how she tells stories ❤️❤️❤️
You never fail to make my day better and flood my mind with history! I have no time to research all these topics as a mother of 4 ❤
So thank you!!!!!!
I would absolutely love to hear you talk more about missing/lost/sunken cities and their history
Your final words have now gotten A🌟Teens stuck in my head. Haha thanks Bailey for reminding me of how awesome they are!
Pirates are STILL a threat when you're out there. Only difference is, they're on newer boats. Same idea. They climb aboard, they tie everyone up. Then, they ransack everything.
I so look forward to your videos!! It allows me to get away from my life and issues, even if it's for a half hour ❤️
