In addition to that, there is also massive amount of information of every witch trial. So when my family wanted to do some historical research about our ancestors, they found these two women in the church's records and then found the matches in the witch trials records.
In Poland the name for a witch, wiedźma, means literally 'the woman who knows'. You know, is wise, knows how to heal. Obviously, a threat to priests, so they turned people against the women.
About half of the women who were burned for being a witch were independent ladies who were smart and happy to live alone or not get married, Men had to control that and some insecure women were afraid their husbands would sleep with them so they would get rid of them by saying they saw then doing something witchy.

Though I think it's pretty important to acknowledge that either way, it was almost (I say almost because I want to be clear, women aren't always innocent creatures ourselves, we just didn't hold the power to do harm on the scale men have been capable of) always *men* (most often either in power or on a quest to gain power) who were leading these atrocious crimes against humanity. Needless to say Ian went around and my kids got home safe and sound. 😊 I wish he would have missed fla too (I have family there too). I wish bad weather would miss all of us.

Rain/snow) he was at the door meowing loudly and scratching I was so relieved but wondering where he was and what he was eating or drinking because he seemed fine 😅 but he passed away last month after he had a surgery he needed 😭❤️❤️ goodluck girl

Accusing someone of being a witch was used for revenge, jealousy, and as a land grab. Accuse the neighbor on either side of your land. They were killed, and you were awarded their land. It was rumored that the Church participated in this land grab as well at times it was to build a church or the land would be awarded to someone that assisted the church, or was "favored" by the pope.

Fun fact about myself and my family. I was born on Halloween night; it’s also my sister’s birthday; and my mother’s. My dog was also born on Halloween and last year my other sister’s French Bulldog gave birth gave birth to 4 puppies and born the same time I was born and until midnight! 😮

I remember Geillis Duncan from the Outlander Series. I wonder if the same Geillis was used for the series since was also tried as a witch. She wasn't she was just a time traveler in the show so it's why she knew stuff but they probably used her story for that. Not sure I like her real possible story being used to flip to something else. There's this RUclipsr who tells stories and has an email set for subscribers to email their scary encounters 😱 I think Bailey should do the same. She's the best at stories and interacting with us in an awesome way. Weather it's a crazy dream😱😴, spooky ghost 👻 or being followed home🏃🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️🏃🏼🚶. I think she would be awesome at telling OUR stories. Anonymous or not. Am I crazy? I just been watching this lady who does it but I'd love to see Bailey do it 🥰👻
