Then at the back straight Verstappen slowing by 40 km/h in 5 meters and pulling 2.4 Gs if I remember correctly. That is the maximum Gs you can pull in a Bugatti Chiron. Max truly lost control here. Lewis came through when it counted, he did in AD as well. It is what it is. At least Lewis still has motivation to stay in F1 and fight for that 8th, so ty Masi, seeing more of the champ is always good.
Telemetry shows Verstappen breaking at a constant rate and decelerating at a constant rate until a driver behind him slams into him. Why didn't Lewis just overtake the man who was giving him the position back? Nobody knows (FYI if you hit a car from behind that's breaking in any country that has roads it is the driver behinds fault)🤣🤣🤣. I will say hearing hamilton's voice that year on radio was great, for the first time in a while, the dude knew he was outclassed and watching him take so many desperate measures to try and get ahead of Max in the championship fight was honestly a pleasure to watch. The attempted murder on Max at Silverstone really showed who Lewis Hamilton was as a person and as a driver. A desperate man that will endanger other drivers to win races, maybe that's what makes him so good. Max had 0 crashes or incidents with Leclerc and had many good clean fights throughout the year. Hamilton's past championship battles? Not so much.
2.4G is nothing in an F1 car. It was very close to the average deceleration during 4 seconds of braking and downshifting, which means there was no brake test. What is infuriating is that during those 4 seconds Verstappen was always going at a slower speed than Hamilton, meaning that Hamilton kept creeping up on Verstappen. And on a track wide enough for 5 cars he lined up his car right behind Verstappen. If there is anything suspect it was Hamilton's driving here. Telemetry data clears Verstappen. Now please explain what Hamilton was trying to do here.
Did you not watch the first race of the season? Leclerc clearly had the better car but surprisingly Max never played dirty or pushed Leclerc off the track. Max just wanted the championship so he did what schumacher would do and play dirty.

Anyone else a max fan but just get so pissed off with his moves. The guy can’t take an L man like Lewis clearly bear you to Turn 1 why try and force it? Cba
The man tried to kill him a month prior at silverstone. Lewis Hamilton is a dirty driver who forces people off track and doesn't respect the rules of racing wheel to wheel. Competing with someone like that you have to get aggressive back or accept the L. Look at Charles and Max's battles last year, Very clean, respectful, and intense and No crashes. Lewis just doesn't have it anymore in terms of raw speed (GEORGE RUSSEL vs HAMILTON) , so he has to get crafty and sometimes he might try to kill his opponent if it means he gets #8.
Last downshift from 4th to 3rd gear dropped the speed from 150 kph to 120 kph due to increased engine braking. But that's really marginal difference compared to the other 4 seconds of consistent braking. You can't claim a brake test when the video shows a near constant deceleration. It is absolutely ridiculous how Verstappen was penalized for this when Hamilton was lining up his car for no valid reason and slowed down from 314 kph to 133 kph against regulations that prohibit driving unnecessarily slowly.
@@thaboi2230 Why would Verstappen release his brakes when there is no reason to expect Hamilton would misjudge the distance and release his brakes? It's kind of silly for Hamilton to dive onto the gearbox of a car that is decelerating at that speed and then expect that car to suddenly stop decelerating. You are twisting this around, which is rather silly. Verstappen had a good reason to decelerate, Hamilton did not. Nor did Hamilton have a good reason to drive up to the geatbox of Verstappen. Nobody ever answers the question what Hamilton was doing there, because that was seriously fucked up.
@@the1gladiator2 Hamilton didn't release his brakes Verstappen broke harder there wouldn't have been any reason to give him a penalty otherwise. That and he should've been on one side of the track or the other and not in the middle of it to quote Crofty. Which he literally was throughout that race so not a weird presumption. Look at what happened when Verstappen did let him past the next time even if he had been told he was getting let past (which he hadn't) - the DRS was vital. All fair enough from Hamilton's side. Why wouldn't he get close to the guy he's chasing for the lead?? Look at who would've benefitted from a crash as well.. not Hamilton, Verstappen.

I'm not a fanboy just trying to view from a neutral standpoint. How is Max being forced off if Lewis is ahead arriving at the first apex? it's his corner and he can defend as long as he's on the track. The door closed on the outside (which happens in almost every race) so VER just went off-roading a bit instead of losing time by braking and slotting in behind. Same goes for HAM at Abu Dhabi, obviously the track is different, the corner cutting is different as well. Also, in Abu Dhabi it was a divebomb down the inside, Lewis took ''avoiding'' action, but it was a clean move by Max and the FIA were inconsistent again with their decision, position needs to be returned. Remember also that these are two top drivers on the grid battling for the final points to secure championships that meant everything... worst has happened before in F1. Leclerc got 5 secs at Suzuka because that was his mistake by himself Perez was behind and he pushed him into overshooting the corner.

@@docarnsly7064 You want the honest answer? a) he had no idea what was happening b) he's slipstreaming maybe 10-15m behind when Max starts braking. Lewis HAS to brake as well or he'll crash into Max at full speed, he can't simply move aside before crashing and he can't steer well under heavy braking. c) even if he could, he doesn't know what Max is playing at. As soon as he breaks out of the slipstream, Max could zoom off again. d) Max is driving erratically and literally moving to the left. He's braking so hard he can't control his car and is making it harder for Lewis to pass. Sidenote: "let's give it back *strategically*".. come on. It just wasn't Red Bull or Max's place to decide that Lewis had to pass before the DRS line. He brake checked hard and that is an instant DSQ under any circumstances.
Red bull tried to be fair what are they supposed to do hold Hamilton's hand and lead him to P1. Verstappen decelerated at a constant rate(check telemetry) and Hamilton slowed down and refused to take the place🤣🤣🤣 and ran into another car from behind (that would be the fault of Hamilton's in almost every country where there are roads). Lewis fell off, you can see it when Verstappen lets him pass for like the 2nd or third time and instantly overtakes him again, lmao the kid is on another level. Max is aggressive on some corners but so is Hamilton as we can see him push not 1 driver off track in turn one but two in one race, also was wondering when we should talk about the attempted murder that took place at silverstone? Looking back on this season it just seems like Lewis and Mercedes flatout lost the pace. Lewis raced dirty and never gave space in a desperate attempt to keep up in multiple races where he knew he had no fucking chance vs Max. The 2022 season is important to look at when comparing title fights as Leclerc and Max had many great battles that consisted of very close racing, yet no crashes. Hamilton's driving record is one of the dirtiest and most aggressive there is, its interesting how Max is always blamed though and characterized as a reckless driver by many when in my opinion Hamilton in a close title fight seems to be one of the most dangerous drivers on the grid.

This race is still infuriating, even after a year. What in the fuck was that in lap 37 1st corner? Then at the back straight Verstappen slowing by 40 km/h in 5 meters and pulling 2.4 Gs if I remember correctly. That is the maximum Gs you can pull in a Bugatti Chiron. Max truly lost control here. Lewis came through when it counted, he did in AD as well. It is what it is. At least Lewis still has motivation to stay in F1 and fight for that 8th, so ty Masi, seeing more of the champ is always good.
Well said 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Telemetry shows Verstappen breaking at a constant rate and decelerating at a constant rate until a driver behind him slams into him.
Nothing to see here
This is what happens when Max doesnt have a superior car. Cant battle in a clean way, human error champ.
Did you not watch the first race of the season? Leclerc clearly had the better car but surprisingly Max never played dirty or pushed Leclerc off the track. Max just wanted the championship so he did what schumacher would do and play dirty.

This is what happens when Max is up against a cheat machine with a Senna-fan maniac in the driving seat who would easily put you in a hospital for a home race win, let alone a championship
This is what happens when Hamilton doesn't have the natural Raw speed he once had anymore. This is seen last year as max and charles had many close battles but no crashes. Why wouldn't lewis just overtake the redbull that is slowing down for him???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It blows my mind. Lets also talk about the attempted murder at silverstone.
Anyone else a max fan but just get so pissed off with his moves. The guy can’t take an L man like Lewis clearly bear you to Turn 1 why try and force it? Cba
Why should he take the L with the wdc on the line? And to his arch enemy?
The man tried to kill him a month prior at silverstone. Lewis Hamilton is a dirty driver who forces people off track and doesn't respect the rules of racing wheel to wheel. Competing with someone like that you have to get aggressive back or accept the L. Look at Charles and Max's battles last year, Very clean, respectful, and intense and No crashes. Lewis just doesn't have it anymore in terms of raw speed (GEORGE RUSSEL vs HAMILTON) , so he has to get crafty and sometimes he might try to kill his opponent if it means he gets #8.
Max did Lewis strategically dirty.
Max crashstappen at his best. No one can change my mind on that
Ridiculous
Last downshift from 4th to 3rd gear dropped the speed from 150 kph to 120 kph due to increased engine braking. But that's really marginal difference compared to the other 4 seconds of consistent braking. You can't claim a brake test when the video shows a near constant deceleration. It is absolutely ridiculous how Verstappen was penalized for this when Hamilton was lining up his car for no valid reason and slowed down from 314 kph to 133 kph against regulations that prohibit driving unnecessarily slowly.
And yet the FIA had the data and handed out a post race penalty
@@thaboi2230 Are you implying they never get it wrong?
@@the1gladiator2 No, but why would he keep braking knowing full well Lewis is directly behind him
@@thaboi2230 Why would Verstappen release his brakes when there is no reason to expect Hamilton would misjudge the distance and release his brakes?
Hamilton hadn't been told Verstappen was letting him past too so he would've been trying to keep DRS presuming Verstappen was playing weirdo games with him.
What a race. Stunned the FIA let it go that far. Hamilton clearly the better driver. Max’s driving warranted him to be told to give the place back 3 times AND he even got a penalty hahaha. Lost his head in the back end of that championship. Won through luck not skill.

So Verstappen being forced off the track by Hamilton, cutting the corner and gaining some advantage is a penalty but Hamilton being caught the same attack by Verstappen in Abu Dhabi, Hamilton cutting more obviously and much wider, gaining a second and a half isn t even a noted incident, not even ordering him to slow down so that the unfair advantage would ve been melted ... a 5 seconds penalty like Leclerc s penalty in Suzuka, there was no chance and we still have vocal fanboys of Hamilton talking about Massi advantaging Verstappen ....i have a message for this category of fans, go back to dts series and limit your f1 unniverse only to that serial.

@@Lenosito he did but why didn't Hamilton just pass him...
@@docarnsly7064 You want the honest answer?
a) he had no idea what was happening
b) he's slipstreaming maybe 10-15m behind when Max starts braking.
