it's always the first responder stories that really kick me in the gut. Difficult but great compilation video. Glad this ended on a somewhat light-hearted note as well
Damn, all horrible stories. I lost my husband way too early, he was 42 & I was 39. Story 10 has me crying from the held in pain I still have. Bless all you First Responders!
Any stories involving EMTs or first responders in general always provide such a gruesome and raw sense of detail that you don’t really get with a lot of stories. Truly freaky stuff here. Thanks for the amazing narrations as always, LR. 🤝
I can appreciate the first responders that take their job seriously, they're our true Heros. What I can't comprehend is why some would work in this industry if they can't show any compassion or understanding for the situation? Lives may have been saved if not changed..
A lot people can only see so many nursing homes with people literally rotting alive in their beds/babies dipped in boiling water by their parents/mangled remains crushed in car accidents before they end up jaded and burned out
All I hear is compassion and heartbreak. Where do you get lack of compassion from? I imagine the only thing as far as that is when I heard one person that was saying your best bet is to pretend like body parts are movie props as a coping mechanism
Which story are you talking about in particular? Unless you’ve worked as a first responder it’s hard to explain. This 💩 goes home with you and that’s the last thing you want: it affecting your personal life. You have to keep some emotional distance to keep yourself sane
If you don't distance yourself from these kind of events you'd go insane, it's not personal but unless you've had to deal with that you couldn't possibly understand, in simple terms "if you can't laugh about it you'd cry" all the way into a noose
@@Lightningstrike1220 If you’re blaming Covid precautions you’re way off base - that dude would have used another excuse to trick her, if not that one. Just like Bundy. The only person in this at fault is the killer, himself. Blame him. If you want to blame something on the police force, then blame whoever he told that he didn’t want his gun because he was under so much stress, and they didn’t report it to his supervisor. Or blame whoever hired him in the first place without completing the mandatory vetting and two years of probation, before they gave him the job. Sarah is not your poster child for a political stance for a virus. You have no right to her narrative.
That emt is amazing for going and getting it. Major respect for putting themselves through that task for another human. I can't even imagine either side of that story
As an EMT and C.N.A..I have many memories I'd just as soon forget..the ones that haunt us and mar our sleepless nights truly appreciate our intentions to help them. We pray for the survivor's and families that are forever changed..we cry for the people society has forgotten about and we carry the scars in our hearts only to get up and do it again! Please think of our rescue, fire and healthcare workers this season! Their sacrifices are greatly unappreciated and grossly underpaid! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO ❤
I imagine that being a first responder is a lot like going into medical combat, except that every time, it's a new day in battle, in a war without end. The people who do it have nerves of steel & are some of the bravest & most selfless individuals I've ever known.
First responders are some of the bravest.. I cant even comprehend responding to children/babies, I mean the gruesome scenes too but I just can't with the kids .. I bloody salute you guys and all emergency services, the things they see are just unimaginable, I mean even the phone operators go through some horrors too
These stories are so informational. If I didn’t start listening to them 6 years ago, I would still be blissfully ignorant. Thanks you civil workers for sharing your stories and Mr. Lets Read for narrating them.
I usually sleep to the stories Joel narrates, but this one here had me with my eyes wide open for 52 minutes and 20 seconds, you deserve much more recognition Joel, bravo.
Same, that one hit hard because as a woman, I don't feel enough is being done by the police force in order to put in place procedures that vet these kinds of people. They basically said "Our bad" and then tried hard to distract from the issue. This case was horrific, but it definitely won't be isolated.
My dad was a state trooper, he tells me these stories. He told me one time this one man is on a motorcycle and he drove too fast and was decapitated by the back of a tractor trailer. He told me that when he drove up this man‘s head was cut in half so his brain was exposed and he had to try to keep the flies off of it until the ambulance got there. I should really write this all down.
Way worse than killing your entire family in a car wreck from texting and driving, right? 🙄 OR the druggie mom who shook her one month old son to death? Poor dog. You people disgust me.
@@AbsyntheAndTears I meant that I was angry with the person who left the dog in a room with a lit candle. Of course the other stories made me sad, I just chose to express my anger for the irresponsible friend.

The speech the police department gave about the murderer cop was infuriating. "If you think hes not a real cop then yell for help" uh.. he WAS A REAL COP. And she was in handcuffs
This is the most gruesome in depth thing I've ever heard. I couldn't do any first responder job. Mass respect to everyone who does that. Or who's been in that situation. Much love ❤ xxxx

Love catching one of these early :) wife and I got the popcorn and are ready! Almost to a million subs, man! It's been awesome to watch you grow your channel for the last 4 or 5 years we've been listening. Much love from Indiana!

When I worked at Wendy's I seen so many parents have their babies and toddlers that don't even look 4 yet in the front seats with them. Or out of their seats in general. I had a regular who would always have his 2 year old in the passenger seat by himself. I couldn't believe it.
saved this to put on while getting ready for bed🥱his voice just calms my soul if that makes any sense. even when the stories are spooky/unfortunate or dark
First responders are the real VIPS, they see the worst of anything and everything but still keep going back, i have such high respect for first responders.
I like these stories but man as a parent and a decent human being, it is absolutely gut wrenching hearing about kids being victims. Nightmare inspiring.
For those of you who don't know, 45 stone is about 286 kg or 630 lbs. These remind me of a story I heard about on the news from a First Responder that was fighting a chemical fire in the Houston, Texas area after Hurricane Harvey struck. He stated they came in to find the place on fire. However, as they got out of the fire truck, everyone started getting very nauseated... and then started throwing up. They couldn't get anywhere near the fire because there was some chemical in the air that made them violently ill. They piled back into the fire truck and pulled back quite a distance before they could gain our composures. Most of them were dry heaving when the smell stopped enough for us to regain their composure. It took them a while to be able to don their breathing gear and head back in. They also weren't told that this was a chemical fire and what started it was rain hitting chemicals that react violently with water.

The Sarah Everard case was devastating to relations between police and public in the U.K.
It's what happens when you brazenly violate human rights and enslave people over a cold virus like communists.

Nothing more calming then a Let’s Read video on my drives to and from work.
