- This is just an hour of a two hour plus set the whole of which you can find on my soundcloud here:
soundcloud.com...
Late last week one of the formative dj`s of the entire hardcore/jungle/drum&bass scene for the past thirty years passed away for reasons undisclosed…
I unfortunately never got to hear Randall play personally, but just from the rough and tumble vibes ozzing out the woofers from the early A.W.O.L mixes, where if you can take loud mc’ing over supremely underground tuneage, that’s where you best find the atmosphere we were looking for
All the way to present day Randall has been ubiquitous on the scene since the earlies days, on innumerable raves, festivals, shows, mixes and clubs worldwide.
I wont go too much into his life and career as there are plenty of interviews and sets documenting his career.
Randall was a Dj, not a producer, so apart from a ton of mixcd`s he never really put out so much tunes on vinyl, though I am blessed to have one, and its included in this set that is 100% improvised just wanting to capture the sounds of Randall as best I can.
By all accounts an affable man with great skills and one who helped keeping the scene together when at times it has been teethering on collapse thru petty squabbles, and most impotantly, enough common sense to regard life as a gift,
I hope well spent.
Wherever he is now, I hope in a good place with all the whitelabels, dubplates and acetates one could wish for and a boomin system to match.
Junglists get rolling!
Excellent set brother! Junglist Massive Boh boh boh!!!
Big up ya chest mate! For someone who usually have a hard time getting into three digit views, this getting over a thousand in such a short while is wild!

Good old Jungle
hehe some would call this d&b, sort of hard to tell the two styles apart but once you get into these sounds there are some pretty clear distinctions between the styles..
