Well riot didn't make any of the music, they just know how to source some incredible talent. Stromae, de4d, lincoln park, etc. are all fully established and pretty major names in the music industry so im not surprised at all by how amazing the track list is for arcane.
@@animanga103 Riot handles a large portion of the creative direction, production, mastering, etc. They start working on the songs 3+ years before the show came out, and quite literally brought artists out of retirement for the show. The artists are obviously the ones performing, but saying that Riot "didn't make the music" undervalues the part they play in the process. If I came to you with a music studio, produced song and lyric ideas, as well as a place in a show for said song to fit, I feel I "made" the music just as much as the person performing did.
For some, maybe, but if u listen to an interview/talk with twenty one pilots about the line, it’ll tell u they were given some pointers and came back with it in three days (which is crazy for how good it is).

mainstream music is a big disappointment lately... I really don't understand how you can listen to the same music non-stop. They don't surprise, they don't create any new arrangements, new melodies, new approaches to sound production. All Arcane tracks are not in top 10??? And same time there is nothing extraordinary in top 10 at all (just musicians brands not an actual music)... Okaaaay, the half of the Arcane vibe was created by synergy of animation, plot and music but even without that Arcane soundtracks are incredible... Especially Woodkid - to Ashes and Blood, Marcus King - Sucker, Mako, Grey - “What Have They Done To Us”, Stray Kids, Young Miko, Tom Morello - "Come Play", Stormae ofcourse, well i could continue but the main point is that instrumental part is just incredible. The arrangement performed by the whole orchestra gives simply indescribable high-quality sound and volume but the unusual use of musical expression means, approach to melody and work with accents takes this music to a completely different level. For me, as a musician, this is really important. You have to be able to surprise your listener. Unfortunately, the modern mainstream music industry is developing in a slightly different direction where music is created around the artist's brand, not for the sake of art itself... which is probably why it currently remains a complete disappointment...
