I love it for night walking the dog or those dusky evenings walking back to the car from work, 2 blocks, and crossing intersections. This is a much safer option and FUN! Thanks Crystal for your continuing inspiration.
My 4yr old grandson wants a hat like this, unfortunately I don't have the money right now but maybe in the future. It is pretty awesome. Love Mr. Bod's idea of adding the black.
Love this yarn. So happy they brought it back. Five years ago my DIL was in a horrific car accident and in a coma for three months. I made my grandkids hats out of this and it made them feel so secure as they mother remained hospitalized. They still have their hats and I made my dog a collar for walking him at night. We still have it as well. Great yarn!
Hello! I made this hat using Red Heart Super Saver 5 oz, Size 4, in Camouflage! I'm on a roll, making your hats. I started with the bucket hats! And this one is number 8. I'm going to make a variegated blue one with this same pattern, next! Thanks! I am 69 years old and I taught myself out of a Woman's Day/Family Circle magazine back in 1969. I was 14 years old! I also knit and have done other crafts but crocheting is my favorite!
I'm super glad you chose to do this rather than just cutting snips up to do crafts, but you can still do crafts with the cut off pieces! If you want the glowy yarn to go farther/ last longer, you could reverse the color order. Wonder how the effect would be as a scarf - - - so many possibilities! *Thanks, Crystal!*

Crystal, I used the Walmart Brand, Mainstays Black, and Neon Ombre Yarn, it glows in the dark with a black or dark blue light too. when I finished the rows, I put a curl to the end of it by stitching to double crochets in each top loop, two rows worth and it made it bigger around and more feminine, My Hat! I had to tell my Mom, LOL! she wants everything I learn to make, but that's ok, she's my best supporter and friend. have a great Christmas 2022!
I ordered the yarn... i was so excited to finally see the glow in the dark yarn.... i agree it is a little pricey but I will be ordering several times until I have enough to make a blanket.
