I noticed similar hidden signpost in the bushes we've experienced too.. A nice route you took. Cragg Vale is on our to do list at the moment. Unusual bridges I noticed. Really get the feel of the terrain around you. Nice easy going piano arrangement with your usual expert style. It seemed a longer walk than 3.5 miles. Admit one of ours due to upload is similar.

It definitely felt like more than 3.5 miles Shanita, probably all the ups and downs and the slow progress along the more awkward terrain, must say though, I found that one really relaxing, especially the riverside walking. Glad you liked the piano piece, I'm getting quicker at writing that jazzy style now.

Yes its a good walking area around Calderdale, plenty of hills and valleys.

I've done a few different walks in and around Cragg Vale, but not for quite some time. We have it earmarked to do again some time in the not too distant future. Was your Garmin device in a heavily wooded area when it failed? Sometimes, especially in steep sided valleys that are well-wooded they don't pick up a signal from the satellites. That's not unusual, and the route you have at the end can show gaps when that happens.

Hi Michael, that would explain it as it's never caused any problems before. Great little gadget for keeping you on track, use it a lot now. Do like Calderdale and surrounding areas.
