We were staying up at that town for a short trip for 3 days recently and every single day saw 3 meter swells - couldn't launch at the ramp you were at. So I basically towed the boat up from Sydney and back for nothing 😂😂🥲
Ok not quite nothing, we launched in one of the rivers and got a few flathead, but... geez your snapper were awesome! I'll have to head back up there another time and try my luck.
