It really is great to see the city so alive and vibrant again. Unfortunately we moved here right before the COVID pandemic, and it's finally getting back to what we remembered it to be prior to then. Thanks again for the continued support, Greg!
I'd like to see a video about things to do in St Pete that aren't just restaurants or bars. How about some outdoor activities, places to see, maybe museums?
We've done a few videos on a couple of the parks (Weedon Island and Boyd Hill) plus a few videos on the pier. We also did a Top 10 St Pete video which includes parks and a few of the local museums. I'm not sure what the rules are for recording inside of museums, but perhaps some day we will do a "museum tour" video. That would be a lot of fun. Thanks for watching!

I know it takes a lot of work to plan and execute videos like yours, so I appreciate learning about these places. That way I don't waste money on places I won't like. Several of the places you have reviewed are withing walking distance of my office, so, thanks to your reviews, I plan on trying them out.

We find that a lot of great deals can still be found if you keep track of the various happy hour and daily specials in the area. I love St Petersburg because my aunt lives there. We always visit her every year since 2010. Now we moved in Cape Coral from Ny. It’s 2 hrs drive from my place.

First and foremost, really good editing on this video! I love crepes, sweet waffle looks very good too. I can't believe the tea place has over 100 teas! I love trying different flavors! I have never see a giant beer pong before! That looks so much fun. The rooftop bar with karaoke rooms seems like an amazing place! Lol "please stand by" got me smile each time

Wow your dinner was epic!! I would love that ramen and the kimchi. Actually all of it looked pretty good. I think I would even try the Pizza ATM just to say I did it. It seems like there are some great new additions and changes to St Pete in 2022 - but too bad the rain came and ruined the live music part. The big game of garbage can beer pong looked fun - despite the "incident" 😂 Good thing you got him back by winning Jamie! 😂
The ramen was so good and we were both surprised at how tasty the vegan Chorizo was. It was both our first time trying kimchi. We both liked the flavor, but it was a bit spicy for me! We thought the same thing about the pizza ATM. We knew there was little chance that it would be high quality pizza, but we were curious if it was at least edible. It definitely was! And yeah, somehow the "incident" seemed to actually make me better at that game. Who woulda thought?! 😂

That has to be the view from the Pitons in the open!! I (Eric) loves waffles - the strawberry cream cheese one looks sooo good :) And Krystal loves tea so this day is perfect for us actually !! 😂
You are right! That was probably the most amazing view we've experienced in our lives. We are not big tea drinkers, but after visiting that place, we both agree we could get into it! And we both ARE into waffles and would highly recommend the one we had in this video!
Looks like I have a few more places to add to my list of places in St. Pete that I want to visit. I LOVE waffles and that crepe looked and sounded like it tasted delicious 😋 Lala's looks like a super fun place! I like the idea of karaoke rooms, especially for people who are embarrassed to sing in front of strangers (the reason why none of my friends will sing karaoke with me 😭). That crepe was delicious and we would highly recommend it! Skylar definitely does not like to sing in front of strangers (or anyone for that matter), but I think I just might be able to get him to sing in one of those private rooms! Yeah, those peddle pub people were troopers for sure! There's one other place in St. Pete that has giant beer pong, but it is a college bar so we never made it there to give it a try. We were so happy to see it at the Par Bar and to finally get to try it out!

That's a good suggestion, Dee. Neither of us are vegan but we do still like to try vegan dishes on occasion. Perhaps once we identify enough vegan dishes around the area that we really enjoy, we'll make a vegan only video!
When my guy and I get our ebikes going were going to hit many of these places! I'm in north st Petersburg FL. It's not that far from us, but one of us is 63 so it'll be far easier for us to travel with our little dog... How many of these places are support dog friendly? Our puppy is with us everywhere we go.
That sounds like a great plan! From our experience, the vast majority of food and drink spots in St Pete are support dog friendly, but we weren't paying specific attention to that when we visited the establishments in this video, unfortunately. Would you do a video that shows areas that are good to live in and around st Pete for east access to bars/restaurants or beaches? Even large apartment buildings or developments nearby? I’m moving to the area and trying to figure out the right locations to look
Hi Sarah. We've thought about making a video like that and probably will someday, although it may not be for a few months. We are very familiar with the major apartment complexes in and around downtown St. Pete, as we have toured the majority of them. Downtown St. Pete is definitely the spot to be for bars/restaurants, but it is getting quite expensive. We have family that lives in St. Pete Beach and Madeira Beach, and both of those spots have a lot going but are also quite pricey. If you questions about any specific apartment complexes in the downtown area, we'd be happy to try to answer them for you!
It's been so long since I've been to a crepe place, but I like to try a bit of both ( savoury and sweet), but that salmon and dill one did sound amazing :) They certainly had a great selection of teas to try in the next spot. I drink green tea almost every day here, but would probably be in there for ages trying to find a flavour or trying to choose between the options......LOL The beer pong looked unreal and so much fun - Even like the interlude "Please stand by" ....too funny and glad you were ok. That Ramen spot, OMG you had a huge amount of food - Did you actually eat it all. and what on earth is the peddle pub ? You have to include that in one of your videos one day ...Too funny After all the rain, I'm proud that you made it through what you wanted to see and show everyone else - You did very well :)
We are lucky in that we now have two great crepe places within a few blocks of us! Neither of us had ever even had a crepe until about 10 years ago, but now they are our favorites. We could definitely get into drinking tea, especially when you have over 100 to chose from! We did not eat all of the food at Half Baked Potato. Probably not even half. But we finished it all off the next day! Yes, Jamie was just find after taking the ball to the face. We had a few unfortunate things happen to us on this day, but sometimes those things make for the most entertaining video 😂 The pedal pub would be a lot of fun with the right group of people. I'm sure we'll try it at some point!
If your looking to moving to St. Petersburg I highly recommend checking out Modern Tampa Bay Homes! House hacking construction to beyond really cool stuff.

Are there any areas that are nearby that are up and coming? Looking to move there soon but the prices are pretty high. Wouldn’t mind being a bit outside the city but I know locals are the best for up and coming areas. Thanks
Kenwood, Grand Central, and the Warehouse Arts District are all areas that are close to downtown and definitely up and coming. I'm sure there are many other up and coming areas as well that we just aren't that familiar with. Thanks so much for watching, Sherry.
The last couple of times I went down to Florida, I ended up in St. Pete's, and the city just has an awesome energy to it. It reminds me a lot of Brooklyn, but before it became way too trendy, and the abundance of bars and restaurants in downtown and central west were great.

You are not the first person I've heard stay that, unfortunately. We love the fact that many of these new businesses are locally owned/operated, but there's no denying that more of big corporations are starting to move in. We hope that the Keep St. Pete Local movement can stay strong.
I just moved to St Pete a little over a month ago, so this video is really helpful in showing me what's around. It's a wonderful blend of eclectic vibes, cosmopolitan diversity without the crowdedness (I lived in Beijing, China for 3+ years, where the population is 25 million), and so many local vendors and restauranteurs.
St Pete has seriously gotten so expensive in the last year. Locals can’t afford the price of rent because income levels aren’t on par with them. You’re going to see more and more homeless people from the tables in those cute little cafes.
Born and raised in st Pete and my only regret is it’s still NO diversity. We’re always the only black family everywhere 😞I hope my city can incorporate more genres of music , culture and experiences👍🏾
There's an abundance of diversity. You just have to go south of central ave where the melanin deficient speed through school zones with no repercussions. Also born and raised here and half a century old.
@@MrCaddy775 still no where NEAR enough.. shouldn’t have to go to one part of town to find diversity. Especially when bloggers come to downtown seeing it as the general idea of what the city offers. By your definition they are only getting one view of 727 and that’s not accurate.
Stay away from St. Petersburg fl everyone. It’s already crowded AF and there’s truly nothing here but businesses, bums, drug addicts and Snow birds. There is a few good food places but it’s overpriced for small portions. The beach is packed out all day everyday and not worth it. Also, we don’t need another California or New York. Seriously.
Nice and all but really sad that almost every location was filled with a mom and pop owned business back 12 years ago when the economy was bad. Then all those owner raised rents to kick them out for these over priced corporate owned businesses

That has to be the view from the Pitons in the open!! I (Eric) loves waffles - the strawberry cream cheese one looks sooo good :) And Krystal loves tea so this day is perfect for us actually !! 😂
You are right! That was probably the most amazing view we've experienced in our lives. We are not big tea drinkers, but after visiting that place, we both agree we could get into it! And we both ARE into waffles and would highly recommend the one we had in this video!

Looks like I have a few more places to add to my list of places in St. Pete that I want to visit. I LOVE waffles and that crepe looked and sounded like it tasted delicious 😋 Lala's looks like a super fun place! I like the idea of karaoke rooms, especially for people who are embarrassed to sing in front of strangers (the reason why none of my friends will sing karaoke with me 😭). Yeah, those peddle pub people were troopers for sure! There's one other place in St. Pete that has giant beer pong, but it is a college bar so we never made it there to give it a try. We were so happy to see it at the Par Bar and to finally get to try it out!

That's a good suggestion, Dee. Neither of us are vegan but we do still like to try vegan dishes on occasion. Perhaps once we identify enough vegan dishes around the area that we really enjoy, we'll make a vegan only video!

When my guy and I get our ebikes going were going to hit many of these places! I'm in north st Petersburg FL. It's not that far from us, but one of us is 63 so it'll be far easier for us to travel with our little dog... How many of these places are support dog friendly? Our puppy is with us everywhere we go.
That sounds like a great plan! From our experience, the vast majority of food and drink spots in St Pete are support dog friendly, but we weren't paying specific attention to that when we visited the establishments in this video, unfortunately. Would you do a video that shows areas that are good to live in and around st Pete for east access to bars/restaurants or beaches? Even large apartment buildings or developments nearby? I’m moving to the area and trying to figure out the right locations to look
Hi Sarah. We've thought about making a video like that and probably will someday, although it may not be for a few months. We are very familiar with the major apartment complexes in and around downtown St. Pete, as we have toured the majority of them. Downtown St. Pete is definitely the spot to be for bars/restaurants, but it is getting quite expensive. We have family that lives in St. Pete Beach and Madeira Beach, and both of those spots have a lot going but are also quite pricey. If you questions about any specific apartment complexes in the downtown area, we'd be happy to try to answer them for you!

It's been so long since I've been to a crepe place, but I like to try a bit of both ( savoury and sweet), but that salmon and dill one did sound amazing :)
They certainly had a great selection of teas to try in the next spot. I drink green tea almost every day here, but would probably be in there for ages trying to find a flavour or trying to choose between the options......LOL
The beer pong looked unreal and so much fun - Even like the interlude "Please stand by" ....too funny and glad you were ok.
That Ramen spot, OMG you had a huge amount of food - Did you actually eat it all. and what on earth is the peddle pub ? You have to include that in one of your videos one day ...Too funny

We are lucky in that we now have two great crepe places within a few blocks of us! Neither of us had ever even had a crepe until about 10 years ago, but now they are our favorites.
We could definitely get into drinking tea, especially when you have over 100 to chose from! We did not eat all of the food at Half Baked Potato. Probably not even half. But we finished it all off the next day!
Yes, Jamie was just find after taking the ball to the face. We had a few unfortunate things happen to us on this day, but sometimes those things make for the most entertaining video 😂
The pedal pub would be a lot of fun with the right group of people. I'm sure we'll try it at some point!

The last couple of times I went down to Florida, I ended up in St. Pete's, and the city just has an awesome energy to it. It reminds me a lot of Brooklyn, but before it became way too trendy, and the abundance of bars and restaurants in downtown and central west were great.
We agree 100%. The energy in St. Pete is just different than most other cities we've experienced. We wish would could have experienced Brooklyn back in the day! Thanks so much for watching!

You are not the first person I've heard stay that, unfortunately. We love the fact that many of these new businesses are locally owned/operated, but there's no denying that more of big corporations are starting to move in. We hope that the Keep St. Pete Local movement can stay strong.

@@Andrembramwell we love it. That said, it's gotten considerably more expensive over the last couple years. But we'll likely stay living here for as long as we can afford it. It's a beautiful, active city and really a fun place to live.

It's a wonderful blend of eclectic vibes, cosmopolitan diversity without the crowdedness (I lived in Beijing, China for 3+ years, where the population is 25 million), and so many local vendors and restauranteurs.
St Pete has seriously gotten so expensive in the last year. Locals can’t afford the price of rent because income levels aren’t on par with them. You’re going to see more and more homeless people from the tables in those cute little cafes.
Born and raised in st Pete and my only regret is it’s still NO diversity. We’re always the only black family everywhere 😞I hope my city can incorporate more genres of music , culture and experiences👍🏾

There's an abundance of diversity. You just have to go south of central ave where the melanin deficient speed through school zones with no repercussions. Also born and raised here and half a century old.

Stay away from St. Petersburg fl everyone. It’s already crowded AF and there’s truly nothing here but businesses, bums, drug addicts and Snow birds. There is a few good food places but it’s overpriced for small portions. The beach is packed out all day everyday and not worth it.
Also, we don’t need another California or New York. Seriously.
Nice and all but really sad that almost every location was filled with a mom and pop owned business back 12 years ago when the economy was bad. Then all those owner raised rents to kick them out for these over priced corporate owned businesses
