- In today’s video I am going to continue on with our series on how safety works on a mining site. In this video we are going to look at how the difference between a pre-start meeting and a safety meeting run by the crew safety rep. I we also cover the importance of paperwork on site and how it’s in your best interest to complete it.
As always it pays to know how the system works to take advantage of it. Knowing how the mine works, is the skill all the employers want, that most New Starters over look when trying to get their first job.

Hi thanks for the comment and glad to hear that it's working out for you (feel free to leave a google review if you want g.page/r/CRsfkxfI5Te3EBM/review ) and you got a job with the training
There is always something to learn on site (every day) but really happy to hear it's working out for you, keep me in the loop
Andrew
You the goat
Here for it
Thanks for you support
4:40 just do it... and photograph it, dont forget time that is spent doing paperwork is still paid time, so enjoy the AC for a while🤣
Yes great point, paperwork is paid work time so allow time in your day to do it
Hey mate appreciate the videos, I’m 19 currently have my hr licence, I’d like to find a driller offsider roll, preferably underground but live in Brisbane. Is it a viable option flying to Perth then flying from Perth to site? Or is relocating the only option as there’s no entry level jobs going in qld that I can see.
Hi thanks for the comment, you don't need to move (unless you want to) there are lots of jobs going in QLD, my suggestion is to do the training, learn the information and start applying for the jobs that ask for experience as well (like we tell you to do in the training). One of the guys that got a truck job a few months ago applied to a job ad that said you have to have 12 months experience, he only had the training behind him and he got the job.
Lots of Diamond Driller Offsider jobs in QLD but I would also apply for the Nipper, Truck, Agi, Paste and Service crew jobs. When you know how it all works it puts you 6 to 8 weeks ahead of everyone else apply for these jobs
I hope this info helps if you have any more questions let me know
@ thankyou for the reply
