What Is an All-In-On (AIO) PC?
All-in-One PCs (AIO PCs) are streamlined desktop computers that integrate all of the components of a traditional desktop computer, except for the keyboard and mouse, into one single unit.. They are sort of like a laptop for your desk. They are self-contained units; you have a display and all the PC hardware behind it in a sleek, slim package.
Let's go through some advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages of AIO:
1. They are easier to transport
2. They take up less space
3. They are are easier to set up
Disadvantages of AIO:
1. As compact and attractive an AIO can be, they are very difficult to play around with especially if you are a geek of computer hardware and always want to see what's inside of a computer.
2. They are very hard upgrade not only in terms of assembly and disassembly, but there is not a lot of room to work with, so even if you could get inside, take out the old hardware, are put something new it, it would have to be a special piece that fit exactly.
3. AIO's are usually buying something that is put together and branded by a specific company. This means it's going to be more expensive right off the bat than if you were to buy separate pieces of hardware and assemble everything yourself.
Take this AIO for example:
This is Asus AIO V222GAK costs 32k INR with a very old configuration.
It's bundled with Pentium Quad Core J5005, 4GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB 5400 RPM internal 2.5 inch HDD. Not much to go with.
Note: Let me remind you, that laptops and notebooks are very delicate, a small mishandling can causes permanent damage.

Very helpful video. I'm upgrading this junky all in one to a SSD + another RAM. Hopefully it'll get fast.
There is a SATA m.2 slot as well on the back of the motherboard. You can even use that. While making the video I forgot about it.
@@srtb I appreciate it. I just subscribed.
@@Mister_Bimmer thank you for your love and support
Can you give me the link to purchase that ram stick?
Thanks!!!
Thank you going to upgrade ram now :)
Welcome. I am glad it helped 🙂
Nice video👍🏻
Thank you
Can you please make video guide to upgrade ssd in Asus Aio M241 Ryzen 3250u . I suppose it supports Nvme m.2 Ssd. Can you please make video on this. First time I am gonna try. Sir Please make video to replace Ssd in Asus M241
Thank you for your request. M241 and V222(Model on Video) have the same hardware interface (screws and etc). You can follow the same guide.
Currently i do not have M241 model AIO with me. When available, will surely make a video.
Thank you again for your support.. 😊
Thanks for the reply. Sir if you still have Asus V222 model, then please try to make video for Ssd upgrade please. It would be really helpfull for me, actually still there is no such video on RUclips to upgrade ssd on Asus Aio. Sir Please also keep camera close while removing and inserting wires after opening LCD back cover, because I never tried this so far, video from you would be really helpful.
Ohhh shoot. You are 1 week late sir. The owner took it. Currently don't have any All in One. Except the one I own Dell Inspiron 5400. Videos on that are being prepared. Stay tuned.
Sir can i change the processor of Asus AIO
AIO's are nothing but a laptop with a big screen. Most of the parts like CPU, GPU are soldered to the motherboard itself. If this was a desktop then it's a complete different scenario.
The answer to your question:
Technically speaking, Yes you can.
Technical Advice: No, do not try to upgrade CPU or GPU
Hello i want to remove the foot of that asus how to?
Ssd support nvme / sata ?
Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Haven't been able to give time to my channel lately coz of work.
Asus has 3 or 4 V222 models and as far as I know, none of them support NVMe. You can check the official Asus website for more details.
Thanks for the video. I just bought this mode. Is it possible to replace the gpu on that model ? Or add a better one somehow ? Thanks in advance
Thank you for your comment and support.
Sorry. GPU of any AIO or Laptop can't be replaced. But, if you need GPU that badly then there is a way to add an external GPU by sacrificing WiFi. Will make a video on that when possible.
It would have been easy if there was a Thunderbolt port but that's not possible in these budget laptop and AIO. Hope this helps..
@@srtbHey, just wondering if you could use the M.2 slot at the back for an external GPU using an adapter. Thanks.
@@Abdullah-nr7mj Hello. Thank you for your comment. Possible but, the spec indicates that it has a SATA M.2 which is incompatible with any GPU converter or interface. Please check the manual once before moving forward with this.

I didn't understand the meaning. But Thank you. 😂😂
how do i find out what gpu i have on one of these computers. all its says is "microsoft basic display adaptor" in device manager and same thing is run and command prompt. some reason that doesnt feel right as i thought they only have that when it doesn't know wtf it has. even task manager says no gpu in performance tab. im not really to keen on opening it up and looking at it just to found out.
Hello Frank, sorry for the delayed response.. This AIO have very little GPU memory which is integrated and just enough to run the display/watch movies/play very very very less graphic demanding games. So, windows 10 has a built-in driver for running these things. Hence the name Microsoft Display Adaptor. You are trying to find the graphic adapter name in the correct place but as it's integrated graphics, you won't be able to find the name for this particular model. However if you go with a higher end model in this series you can find dedicated graphics... Hope this helps...
@@srtb hello thank you for responding. i have figured it out already sorta. i found out my gpu is a intel uhd graphics 620. not the best but it can run some minor games like ds2 pretty good. says my dedicated memory is 128 mb? something like that is it possible to increase that amount permanently. i have 31. something of shared memory. believe my total ram is 32 currently.
@@frankvaliquette6308 the graphics memory on this cannot be increased as far as I know unless done on the chip level and even that requires a bit of programming (which I have "0" knowledge of).
But, shared graphics memory can be achieved if the PC was running IrisXE graphics. Hope this helps...
bro can you please tell me what's the price f the pannel
Don't know exactly. Original Asus (in authorised service centre), it may cost around 7.5K depending upon in which city you are. OEM may cost around 5k plus service charge. Hope this helps..
Hi Sir, I Recently brought Asus Aio M241, need your help, please guide me which 4GB DDR4 Ram to buy. I am confused with different variants available online.
If it's the AMD Dual Core or Intel J4005/5005, it has a 4GB 2400 MHz RAM. I have not come accross a i3 variant yet.
My advice is to go with the brand Crucial. www.crucial.in/memory/ddr4/ct4g4sfs824a
Check out this link. If you have any other queries feel free to reply to the same thread. Hope this helps.
Please subscribe if you have not yet done so. 😊
@@srtb Its ASUS AIO M241, 23.8" (60.45 cms) FHD, Dual Core AMD Ryzen 3 3250U, All-in-One Desktop (4GB/1TB HDD/Office 2019/Windows 10/Integrated Graphics/Wireless Keyboard & Mouse/Black/5.4 Kg), M241DAK-BA021TS, Memory & Storage: 4GB DDR4 SO-DIMM 2400MHz RAM. I see at amazon, Crucial Basics 4GB DDR4 1.2v 2666Mhz CL19 SODIMM RAM Memory Module for Laptops and Notebooks. Will it be perfect Ram upgrade for Asus AIO mentioned above, please guide me and Thank you sir
@@sunnygleams3476 The AIO's RAM is 2400 MHz. Hence even of you install 2666, it's a waste. Both will work at 2400MHz itself. Hence recommend you to buy a Crucial 2400MHz RAM.
Tell me, is it possible to put 2x8GB of RAM instead of 1x4GB in asus vivo aio v221id?
Yes. As far as I know it's an entry level/basic AIO just like V222. It supports 2133MHz RAM and has 4GB installed with an empty slot. Of you put 2x8, the installed 4GB will be waste. Or you have to use it to any other laptop which supports the same MHz. Any way, Yes you can do that if you want.
@@srtb thanks
Sir I m thinking to buy budget pc Asus Aio M241 Ryzen 3250u, can you please guide which SSD version will be compatible for Asus Aio M241
M241 comes with a 1TB HDD. If you want to add a SSD, go with Western Digital WD Green m.2 SSD, 545MB/s R, 3 Y Warranty, 240GB (WDS240G2G0B) www.amazon.in/dp/B078WYS5K6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_DHXCMX4NNEV5MXHKFPBX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you Sir for guiding. There is one another version name Nvme m.2 SSD. Whether both will be compatible for Asus M241? Since the pc processor is slow, so thats why will think to add 4gb Ram and Ssd.
@@sunnygleams3476 That's a good thought. And Yes, without an SSD all windows 10 PC tend to become slow over time. To answer your question,
As far as I know, M241 and V222 both support NVMe. (Please confirm the compatibility with Vendor once before buying.)
To add RAM, there is an empty slot. Confirm the speed once. I think it comes with 2400 MHz.
v222gak can use SSD m.2 sata or nvme ?
As far I know as it is a low end All in One it supports m.2 SATA only. Need to confirm. I had upgraded it with 256GB WD green m.2 SATA as I was not sure about NVMe. And there was no documentation of the same in the asus official as well. Hope this helps. Please subscribe if you have not yet done the same. Thank you for your support. ❤️
hello sir, can i place 2 pcs of hdd? i have one SSD 256g for boot-up and the other 1tb hdd for saving files thanks
If you have an M.2 and an 2.5 inch SSD/HDD, then yes. You can have 2 Storage in this AIO model. M.2 slot is on the back of the motherboard.
@@srtb is it m.2 nvme or m 2 SATA sir ?
@@isfantauhid the model which I had and on which the video was made had M.2 SATA. Other models in this do not support NVMe as well as per the official website
