WOW,,I FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE DISCOVERED SISTER ETHYL WATERS ON THE BILLY GRAHAM CRUSADES WHEN SHE WAS SINGING "HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW",,THIS WAS REALLY MY 1ST KNOWL EDGE OF HEARING SISTER ETHHLS VELEVTY VOICE,,AND WHERE SHE SPOKE THRU PART OF THAT SONG THEN WENT BACK TO SINGING IT,,THAT JUST MADE ME BURST OUT CRYING MY EYES OUT,,I WAS ONLY ABOUT AGE 12 THEN,,MY STEPFATHER STARTED MAKING FUN OF ME IN A PREDJUDUCE TYPE WAY,,ASKIBG ME IF I THOT ID BE ALRIGHT CAUSE I ACTED LIKE I WAS GONNA BLOW UP ANY MINUTE,,
I DIDNT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME BUT SOON FOUND OUT I WAS FEELING THE ANOINTTIN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,,
AND WOWWW DIDNT I,,
THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF MY LISTENING OF WHATS CLASSIFIED AS "NEGRO GOSPEL SPIRITUALS ",,WHEN I HEARD SOME OF THEM LIKE "MY SOUL SAYS YES",AND "OH LORD I NEED YA TO HELP ME ON MY JOURNEY",,ETC,,ETC, C EACH AND EVERYTIME THAT MUSIC WOULD JUST TEAR ME UP,,AND I FOUND OUT LATER THAT THESE WERE SONGS THAT THE BACK THEN SLAVES WOULD HAVE BEEN BEATIN OR EVEN KILLED FOR UTTERING EVEN JUST A FEW WORDS..
THAT REALLY SPOKE TO MY HEART AND IVE LOVED THEM EVERY SINCE AND L I STEN TO THEM ALMOST EVERYDAY,,I CANT HARDLY WAIT TO MEET THEM POOR OLD SOJLS THAT MADE AND WROTE THAT MUSIC MOST LIKELY BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY HAD TO ENDURE EVERYDAY,,I THANK ABBA GOD FOR EVER ALLOWING ME TO BE ABLE TO DISCOVER THESE SONGS,,THANK YA ALL FOR YOUR TIME AND PLEASE BELIEVE ME THESE WORDS THAT CO M ETH FROM MY HEART, GOD BLESS YOU ALL,,,

Don't become influenced by other previous gospel singers who are now gospel entertainers. Your singing is a soul stirrer. Stay right there. Don't compromise. Stay still & let God use His gift in you. Be careful. You can't take God's gift everywhere. Be a good steward. Don't let money be your guide. Ask God before accepting engagements with His gift & you won't go wrong. You can sing astoundingly with or without music so don't allow musicians to background jazz up the music you sing. God says, "You are a true blessing to the music ministry."
