Okay, this might sound random but I just HAVE to share this 😂My boyfriend didn’t have a birthday or anything, but I read somewhere that most men only get their first flowers at their funeral. So I was like... um no, I’m changing that. I got him this LEGO flower bouquet made for men. I handed it to him and said, ‘I read this and thought of you,’ and omg, he actually teared up! 😭We spent the evening building it together like a little date night, and it was so much fun. Honestly, I didn’t expect him to react like that... I think he was really touched. Anyway, it’s super cute and now it's sitting on his desk haha. Just wanted to share because it made me so happy

I’ve shifted my perspective as a creator when it comes to making something new. I used to think success came from the number of spotify listeners. Thank you so much for this video Karissa. I related to so much of what you said. I self-published a novel many years ago, and although I’ve written others since, I haven’t published them as I’ve struggled with editing and self-worth. I think with me, it’s absolutely tied to the external validation and critique I received first time, and how I managed my expectations. But I’ve also come to realise that healing those old wounds are key to moving forward, and that vulnerability is a huge part of being an artist and a creative person. I’ve realised that I have to create for me, and put my anxiety about other people’s opinions to the wayside. I also think that ‘birthing’ a creative project is a big deal and does warrant a lot of down time and introspection afterwards. I really love your poetry; it’s beautiful. Best wishes.
it's so hard separating your need for validation from your need of doing what you really want, but I do hope you can keep doing what makes you the happiest, even if that means getting some backlash here on youtube, I do love your more "day-to-day" content but what I love even more is watching people do and talk about what inspires them the most, and I do feel that with you on all your more artistic content! hope you feel even more confortable and confident doing what you love

I know how you feel with the external validation in regards to how people perceive your art, I’m the same way with mine. My art on insta constantly reached less than 50 people and it was discouraging, so I’m giving up on there and will move to another platform maybe. Anyway, I just want you to know that even if you lost people over releasing your poetry album, there are so many of us who your poems have touched. It’s literally been on repeat, and inspired me to write more even though I’m not a regular writer, other than writing my thoughts. Keep doing you, those who are meant to find you will 🤍

You have a community of people and you’re leading by example in ways- the idea of that can create feelings of insecurities when you’re growing, learning, healing, or changing but the community you’re growing likes to resonate and grow with you since the secret is any powerful soul understands it’s always going to be growing, changing, and even experience times that feel like set backs. I love this type of content! I love all sides of you even if you came on here one day and said “yk what…fvck it I don’t wanna do sh!t today just what I want” chances are id be like “dang thinking that yesterday”. Real people understand releasing negativity from this world isn’t supposed to be pretty- it only is after it’s done. We’re all connected in a way and especially with you having a collective; you’ll pick up feelings stronger that might resonate with us too. You’ll attract more of the right people sharing more natural feelings or thoughts that want to come out on here. You blessed yourself with a platform- what type of person would you feel most comfortable watching?/ wish you you could’ve watched in your spiritual journey. I bet you’d wish for something more real. I know how you feel with the external validation in regards to how people perceive your art, I’m the same way with mine. My art on insta constantly reached less than 50 people and it was discouraging, so I’m giving up on there and will move to another platform maybe. Anyway, I just want you to know that even if you lost people over releasing your poetry album, there are so many of us who your poems have touched. It’s literally been on repeat, and inspired me to write more even though I’m not a regular writer, other than writing my thoughts. Keep doing you, those who are meant to find you will 🤍

You have a community of people and you’re leading by example in ways- the idea of that can create feelings of insecurities when you’re growing, learning, healing, or changing but the community you’re growing likes to resonate and grow with you since the secret is any powerful soul understands it’s always going to be growing, changing, and even experience times that feel like set backs. I love this type of content! I love all sides of you even if you came on here one day and said “yk what…fvck it I don’t wanna do sh!t today just what I want” chances are id be like “dang thinking that yesterday”. Real people understand releasing negativity from this world isn’t supposed to be pretty- it only is after it’s done. We’re all connected in a way and especially with you having a collective; you’ll pick up feelings stronger that might resonate with us too. You’ll attract more of the right people sharing more natural feelings or thoughts that want to come out on here. You blessed yourself with a platform- what type of person would you feel most comfortable watching?/ wish you you could’ve watched in your spiritual journey. I bet you’d wish for something more real. Thank you thank youuu!! idek what to say- you’re 100% right. I’m so thankful you took the time out to explain this. I needed to step outside myself and question my mindset (I’ve been overthinking recently) but you proved your point through me- this triggered a positive perspective I needed and really moved me in a powerful way. As a music artist- I know so many people who would thrive off of this information. It’s really easy to get insecure about your work especially in the day and age we’re in. Keep being you- thank you for being so smart and kind even if this wasn’t for me!
