Sound is great Big Rich. The tank looks great and more a natural environment. Can't wait to see the next project. As you've said so many times, do one tick it off the project list.
I use the black diamond blasting sand in all my tanks. You have to rinse the sand in a bucket or a tote until the water runs clear before using it in your tank. It stays clean and looks amazing once it's clean
The castles were a fun place holder but the new tank-scaping is looking great! It's going to be stunning when the plants settle in. I was wondering about those circular marks on the back wall and was wondering if they were natural growth or some sort of back drop. And then yo mentioned them! So glad they're in no way harmful because they really add to the natural beauty now. I was also amazed at how happy both puffers looked hanging out together while you were working on the tank. Seems they like hanging out when supervised. I'm sure OFR's pretty little mascot is going to love having this whole tank to herself.
I liked the wireless mic for this video. Tank looks BEAUTIFUL! Good job Big Rich, you done real good sir LOL Would love to see Lavaca in the cube, I only ever imagine puffers in that tank thanks to Pittsburg, he was a great mascot.
You have to wash the black basting sand it has to be put into a bucket and you have to rinse it with the garden hose until it comes clear for those that are trying to save money please follow my steps and you'll have nice black blasting sand in your aquarium I've been using it for a long time no problems you must put this stuff in a bucket and wash it until it comes clear guaranteed everybody will be happy
I like that I can hear you better with the mic on, the only problem is when you want to have anyone else talk (which you addressed when you said if you wanna be heard on camera....) The black diamond blasting sand is beautiful but you have to rinse it for EVER! The play sand you can get at Lowes works well too and its like $5 a 50 lb bag but you still have to rinse it well. Great job guys!
What a difference it looks so much better more natural and the benefits of all the plants Rich, Josh it looks great, audio not so great. I use sand in my Axolotl tanks and it cost me $4.50 for each 50 pound bag I have done this for the past 10yrs. I love it. take care #Team Tracy.
Good Morning! 💙💚 Happy Saturday everyone! Hehe, Tracy! Sending early in the comment love to your beautiful lady ♡ xoxoxoS too! Such an awesome video! Love when you do voice overs. The clip on was odd at the beginning, but got way better quickly! Thank you to all that helped! Those 2 puffs, just the cutest. Oh my! So thankful it is done for you, for now. The plants, gravel, and wood looks AMAZING! Geeked to watch it flourish along with Lavacca 💙 (I should probably check how you all decided to spell that! Lol). Sir gets to go home!!! Yay! He is missed terribly I bet! Looks like a little demon fish lol love him! Lavacca just looks all innocent and cute. The eyes for sure! Guess I never realized how many people have puffers! We had 3 growing up, all sizes, but I knew NO ONE with tanks too as a kid. Seeing this community and the love for these babies, I cannot say THANK YOU enough! Knowing that our fishy friends are seen, it just means the world to me and ultimately it means their lives to them! Be SO VERY proud of you, all of you, every single freaking day (family friendly!). It's hard not swear at times lol Sending all that love and SO many hugs to you all! Your trip is going to be a blast! Hope you all get some rest, take care of you 💌🦈💌 I'm sure MANY feel very fulfilled now lol the tank is beautiful!
That last plant is anubias, which needs to have it's rhizome above the gravel, so you should put it at the base of the driftwood and just let it's roots be buried- otherwise the rhizome will rot and die.
A affordable sand is pool filter sand , sometimes $11.00 / 50#. A mix of 3 parts (silica) which is inert with 1 part black diamond blasting media makes a nice salt and pepper look. I have only used this on fresh water.
I've never had anything bought as pre-washed that still didn't need to be rinsed thoroughly before use but best of luck with the sand. I hope all your temporary fishy boarders leave soon so that OFR can get back to all the scheduled projects planned for the future.
I think that tank next to the Gold fish or that big cube would be a great home for Lavaca in the future or just a bigger tank . How about a bubble wall for her. That would look nice on the back of that tank . Fill it with fast top dwelling little fish that she can't mess with if you put her in the cube with the water falls. She looked calm next to him . Anyway I'm sure she would love a planted tank with some drift wood. 👍
I use Black Diamond blasting sand in all of my tanks, and it's amazing. Some bags are dirtier than others, but a few minutes of rinsing with the garden hose in a Rubbermaid tote is all that's required. I've never had a single problem with it.
Hey big rich, if your using the fluval aquasky or fluval plant 3.0 led lights all you have to do is put the setting to manual instead of auto and they will go on and off with your switches. That’s what we have ours set to at our store so they go off with the breakers at night.
In my opinion Caribsea has the best sand. It less dusty that sands you buy at home depot but also way more expensive. They also made a nice black planted tank substrate that is prewashed.
I would advice you to activate the "Super Thanks" Button it will certainly help you to get more revenues from your channel. Next to that make a huge list of all the species of fish Arapaima, Arowana etc. etc. in combination with their latin names you've got in the rescue as a long list in your description. Lot's of people are looking for species and they won't find OFR, but with such a list, they do.
I've never heard of a super thanks button Where would I find such a thing I don't see any options out here Or in the studio And thank you for trying to help
The black blasting sand works great you just have to rinse it multiple times before using. I use 5 gallon buckets and a garden hose outside and just let it rinse and stir it up occasionally
The good thing about the black gravel is that the fish crap will stand out for cleaning. How is your puffer with small fish like Guppies and Tetras? Pittsburgh seemed to have no problems with them. SFMF!
Charles, some Mbu's are unsociable and to stop this it helps if they were raised in a community tank. You still have the odd mistake where they strike/suck in their prey and they snag a clean up crew of a Cory or Tetra. Mine has had two Khuli loaches a few Cory's and 2 Congo Tetras, La-vadka has only been kept in a monster fish and couldn't even be trusted with a Pleco..
Hindsight and all, but in the end, it would have been easier to just add the black gravel to the sand. It’ll be interesting to see if Lavatka darkens up now.
my fluval light does my head in i often forget you need to reset it on the app when the power goes off or it goes on to default mode and turns on in the middle of the night on a random schedule and wakes me up lol
Are we all going to say we preferred the castles now? Really enjoyed the fast forward of clearing the gravel, it really shows how much time and effort it takes. The mic worked great too. Why is it you put the drift wood at the back rather than a bit all over?
Tank looks awesome an I like the wireless mic I just think u need to talk to rod from PREDATORY Fins an Tweak it a little bit to get the settings right
I use the sandblast stuff, have to make sure to get course not fine, it’s a little bit of extra work but was worth the savings for me =) Digging the black!
I thought Josh was running the camera the way he zoomed in on lavaca and Sir the Hawks a lot and that one piece of Driftwood and lavaca's you can put some of that gravel in those two concaves in that wood and you can put some plants in that too I think that look cool Jesus suggestion no matter how you guys do it a little it'll look awesome as you looking at the tank the left side looks kind of lonely looking really sparse that far left corner
It might be best to put the Wolf Fish elsewhere. I don't know how much I'd want to trust that divider. PS) Are you planning on doing anything with the lowboy tank under Lavaca's tank?
I personally don't like the new mic system. Although there's much less background noise it sounds like I'm on the phone with you rather than standing there with you.
Sound is great Big Rich.
The tank looks great and more a natural environment.
Can't wait to see the next project. As you've said so many times, do one tick it off the project list.
So gorgeous you take such good care of your fish and all your other tanks too
That mic is excellent much less background noise. Hear you loud and clear
I just LOVE La Vaca. What a character! And the tank looks beautiful.
Dam you get a good reference of how HUGE that puffer is with you standing right near her! 👏 😄 Lavhaka what a beaut!
Beautiful gorgeous lovely fish and tank love the puffers so cute and very friendly
Looks so much more awesome - Good Job Rich!
Puffer tank looks amazing, heck yeah.
I liked the second mic. It made the water sound like ocean waves and was so relaxing
Good Morning From Texas 🇨🇱, Luv Ya'll Stay Fishy
Lavodca looks stunning against the black rock. Good choice 👍
Beautiful! Lavaca has such charisma it's great to see her against a naturalistic background.
I feel like Lavaka deserves to have no divider. She needs as much room as possible...
I went back to see the Pittsburgh tank. His face was so cheeky, I miss him, Love the MBU puffers of OFR.
Looks good, will be even better once the plants get established..
Can now see how massive the puffer is now!
That looks so much better Big Rich.
Thank you.
Play safe have fun.
Looks great , when those plants grow in it will be beautiful ❤❤❤❤
what a big puffer !!
Love that tank looks so nice now
I use the black diamond blasting sand in all my tanks. You have to rinse the sand in a bucket or a tote until the water runs clear before using it in your tank. It stays clean and looks amazing once it's clean
Looks great guys! La Vaca looks so happy looking at the new plants and driftwood towards the end. So cute!! 💕

I'm sure OFR's pretty little mascot is going to love having this whole tank to herself.
microphone sounded initially weird but considering the noise removal its great
The tank looks great big rich. Lavaca and reaper should be happy now. 🤙
Black gravel looks GREAT makes everything stick out good job and thx for another great long video BigRich
Love it! Great tank for La Vaca with the plants.
Prayers for tracy 🙏🙏🙏
Everytime I plant a tank I sing beasti boys ...I put the roots down I put the roots down lol 😆 💯
I liked the wireless mic for this video.
Tank looks BEAUTIFUL! Good job Big Rich, you done real good sir LOL
Would love to see Lavaca in the cube, I only ever imagine puffers in that tank thanks to Pittsburg, he was a great mascot.
I really like it, i bet the fish will feel more home
Good sound with the new mic! 🙂👍
Wood placement is brilliant 👌
Sounded better at the start of the video
She looks happy in the new scape already! Once it grows in I’m sure she’ll be swimming all through those weeds lol!
really good,,, and inspires me.. greetings from goldfish cultivators in Indonesia
Looks nice but I feel like la Vaca needs a wider tank. Maybe do what Josh said and divide the 2 wolf fish in that tank instead

I love it! You guys are amazing!
Those fluval lights are programmable and can have a timer set. I have 3 of them and they work awesome
great show guys thanks
Scape looks good!

I’m excited can’t wait to watch💗
Looks great Big Rich 👌 👍

tank looks great!!
The tank looks great!!!! I'm lovin' the black rock!!

I love it and I think it looks like a great way to grow more plants. I am so excited to see just how much bigger the plants get.
Good morning rich 🐟🐟🖐️
Wireless mic for the win!!
A affordable sand is pool filter sand , sometimes $11.00 / 50#. A mix of 3 parts (silica) which is inert with 1 part black diamond blasting media makes a nice salt and pepper look. I have only used this on fresh water.

Love the videos guys
Looks great. #TEAMTRACY
Good morning ☀️☀️☀️☀️
Great video
Nice job guys
I think it looks great
Those growths are Freshwater sponges. In order for those to grow like that means you have good water quality. Quite rare
Awesome
Audio is GREAT!!
I would’ve given the fish room to be able to get behind the wood😳
Hey big rich, if your using the fluval aquasky or fluval plant 3.0 led lights all you have to do is put the setting to manual instead of auto and they will go on and off with your switches. That’s what we have ours set to at our store so they go off with the breakers at night.
Awesome thanks :)
It's RUclips's algorithm I've even been unsubscribed to you guys so tell your people make sure that they're still subscribed
In my opinion Caribsea has the best sand. It less dusty that sands you buy at home depot but also way more expensive. They also made a nice black planted tank substrate that is prewashed.

Looking good! Shared video. Stay fishy!😊
The black blasting sand works great you just have to rinse it multiple times before using. I use 5 gallon buckets and a garden hose outside and just let it rinse and stir it up occasionally
Got my notification yeah
I like the mic!
BR, looks like you are shedding pounds! Keep up the good work! Hoping you find another nurse soon🙏
If you guys ever need cheap sand, look for pool filter sand or play sand. It will be the cheapest choice usually you can find it at home depot
I guess Reaper has been paying Lavaca's rent on time, she's always getting upgraded. I wonder if Dawn knows this? 🤔
Lol
Can you put some little dither fish in with Lavaka that she can’t hurt that will keep her company? 🥰💕💕💕💕Love the plants?
The good thing about the black gravel is that the fish crap will stand out for cleaning. How is your puffer with small fish like Guppies and Tetras? Pittsburgh seemed to have no problems with them. SFMF!

Really enjoyed the fast forward of clearing the gravel, it really shows how much time and effort it takes. The mic worked great too.
Why is it you put the drift wood at the back rather than a bit all over?
Trying to leave the front area open for her to swim in. Giving the illusion of a bigger space
There’s two different blasting sands . You have to use the medium and rinse good . You probably used the fine.
Tank looks awesome!!
Hey fishy family
normally on the fluval app you can set the time for the lights to come on and off
Lowe's Paver sand works good to you have to wash it. It can be dirty but 3$ish a bag its a good deal if you need to cover big tanks.
Mic is much better. o reverbe, no background splashing. Sounds nice and bassy.
Tank looks awesome an I like the wireless mic I just think u need to talk to rod from PREDATORY Fins an Tweak it a little bit to get the settings right
I think you might be shadow banned or RUclips has messed up the algorithm. You should have over 250k followers by now.
I use the sandblast stuff, have to make sure to get course not fine, it’s a little bit of extra work but was worth the savings for me =)
Digging the black!
You have to get the medium grit not the fine blasting sand
RUclips Recommend me to watch this after she died. 😥
Learning how to do time lapses and editing would probably make your videos more appealing and grow the channel
It might be best to put the Wolf Fish elsewhere. I don't know how much I'd want to trust that divider.
PS) Are you planning on doing anything with the lowboy tank under Lavaca's tank?
I prefer the audio how it used to be. It’s clearer now but sounds like a voiceover and not part of the action.
There are 2 types of sand blasting sand at Tractor supply. I betcha Reeper got the wrong one
You probably already know but its best to pre rinse the gravel
I personally don't like the new mic system. Although there's much less background noise it sounds like I'm on the phone with you rather than standing there with you.
