Burnout / depression … it hit me suddenly when I was young, in BKK. Thai people got me through it in some weeks time.
Looking back, it all changed positively when I did learn Thai language . Opened up to have Thai friends. And did not go where “normal” Thai people would not go. So no more Hard Rock Café, Erawan Hotel gym or lunch at the Dusit Thani.
And slow down on alcohol, late nights, bench watching movies - whatever regular Thai people don’t do.
And live in a house in a Thai area.
Live in a Thai area where they don't give a shit about anybody else! Noise, parties, Karaoke , chickens, cooking smells, fish, loud bikes and generally tossing garbage about the place! * I have for 30 years and best is to be as tolerant as possible! They certainly don't give a Fig!
First thing I'll do if I move to Thailand is take language courses. You are so so right bro.
@@senianns9522what is wrong with… fish ???
Such a good and relatable video :) I to "miss having a kitchen even though I don't cook" lol
thank you! haha not liking to cook but missing a kitchen is a thing right ;D
Bangkok's skyline has changed a lot since your recent visit in early 2023. 😉
Made me nostalgic. So many memories.
My first international travel was to this amazing city back in 2014. Since then i have visited so many times that now i have not kept any count.
Thanks Kaja..!!
Kaja! Great to see that you are back in BKK! I acrually got in touch with you and your videos when you posted your blogs in Thailand some years ago - and then I followed your excursions wherever they took you - and sort of lost you at some point... So good that you are back - hope life treats you well and you recover soon from all what lies behind you. All the best from Bonn, Germany, and I look forward to hearing and reading from you. So good. Cheers, Oliver
The travels journey and burnout is definitely real! I experienced it while jumping around to too many countries in a span of 4 weeks. Landed in Vietnam and surrounded myself with friends from the states living in VN. Definitely helped make it feel like I was "home again" and I put a lot of vlogging on the back burner. Definitely realize that we need to slowmad and just stay in a place for longer periods of time to avoid that crazy burnout! Have fun back in BKK, cheers!
Thank you for your amazing videos Kaja. Please rest well, doing what you're doing is alot of work before it's on the video. This could have taken a toll on you. I hope you fully recover before your next trip. Take care and speedy recovery to you. Bless you
Welcome back home, Thailand.
thank you
I watched all of your vlogs years back when you were studying in Bangkok & watching this makes me 😊 I love BKK too!
Good to see you in Bangkok and in good spirits. Take care of yourself and looking forward to seeing more of Thailand. 😬
Thank you! they are coming soon!
WOW! I'm happy you found your happiness again. I'm an American living in Japan trying to build up the confidence to go somewhere else. I love Japan but I feel like I'm going stale. I love your story which I can really relate to in so many ways. GOOD LUCK.
Thanks video happy to you very much and Thailand happy new year 2024.🙏🙏🙏🎉🎉🎉♥️♥️♥️🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Welcome back
thank you!
5:42 "Especially, they try to sell you their online courses" 😂 Hopefully you will be in Thailand until the Thai New Year days.
🌹.....I'm Thai. I remember you. You studied at Chulalongkorn University. Thank you for defining this as your home. I will follow your video.....💖
Welcom home Kaya, it's a long time you leave. ❤❤
thank you!
Love you and your videos. Take care of yourself :)
Thank you!
hah! i used to live in nonsi 13 years ago when i first arrived in bangkok. Im in sathorn now, but i miss the pool at sunset. so many great memories. good travels!
Which coffee shop is that overlooking the park? Looks fab...
it's the pool restaurant at SoSofitel
can i have a question? i used to travel solo some countries and it was great but last time i feel really alone. how do u feel right now? regards
Are you still writing a book about Bangkok? Love your vlogs from there.
Welcome home :) If you explore other area in Thailand, you will se how wonderful your home is.
it's the best!
ยินดีตอนรับสู่บ้านของคุณ ขอให้มีความสุขมากๆครับ
When getting sick from a flu, the warm weather in Bangkok or any central part will cure you. I experienced this.
WElCome Back 'KAJA' !!!
THANK YOU
The most importance is to know the language and make friends with the local people. Things will totally change when you can local language.
I definitely love those toasts 6:21
Hold up you're in Bangkok!? You are a big reason why I chose to do my exchange at Chula, I am on exchange here now. It is so crazy to see your film at nonsi. There was a point where I could only imagine what it was like but, now it's my home too! I love your content, thanks for all your inspiration!
would you recommend Nansi over staying at CU iHouse?
Im home in bkk too! Love it 😊😊
bkk is the best!
Do slow travel, it helps.
Just think of all the fresh, nutritious, cheap food that u have access too. Some others countries it is devoid of quality and nutrients and u pay a lot more. 😮
Those 7-11 heat and eat sandwiches are the BEST for a quick meal!
haha I know!
How's the air quality?
Its okay depends on where u r coming from. The place i come from its was a sigh of relief
Thailand is beautiful places
one of my favourite places on earth!
I find that city exhausting. Not my cup of tea ever! I prefer calm and human connection
I get it :) Bangkok can be an exhausting city
Go to Alaska
How about kalasin or ratchnaburi? Chiang mai i cant recommend more but its more on to rural side and u might not get all the lux there.
But its thats your kinda of thing go for it
What's your favorite coffee spot called?
the one in this video is a pool bar at SoSofitel
สวัสดีครับ โตขึ้นมากHow many times have you returned to Thailand?
many :p
@@KajaKubicka I'm glad you're happy. When I saw the first clip When I was an exchange student, I looked cute and bright. Now I'm older and I watch clips from that time. Old and current clips are always cute. I'm glad you came back again.☺☺😄😊
I've often wondered if people who lived this kind of lifestyle are often depressed and/or neurotic. I don't think we thrive best when we're moving around all the time.
Really? So we thrive best when we are sedimentary, with no new experiences and stimuli? Just the same routine every day until we die?
Can’t say I agree…
I never said that, Glen.@@glengamble526
Defiently not a depressing lifestyle to live. But if you're constantly moving, it can feel kind of exhausting. Its important to rest once in a while, especially if ur a travel blogger.
Well not really. They just have a diff approach to life. Yes they do sacrifice a lot on many things that seems important for us like buting a swanky car a house expensive mobile phone and what's not.
But then the experiences they are gathering are priceless.
Yeah this might not look sudtainable as u need constant cash flow and lot of energy and time figuring out too many things at time but then thats there way of living and wemust respect that
@@sumeetghai8867 of course, and well stated.
were those 7eleven ham and cheese toasts?
Hi Kaja we have something mutual in our thinkings, at least the frequency is the same... I started my journey in Thailand 33 years ago... We should change our experiences don't You think? ☺
are you currently taking prescription medication?
Welcome back but should wear face mask anti dust masks, the smog season hear can kill your lung !
Another great video Kaja. 👍😊🇮🇪🇹🇭
Thank you! 😃
กอดๆ take care 💖
