She has given a lot of fights and she has survived...
She is so damaged but she keeps fighting to win
She fights everyday with drugs, death and surgeries and she wins...
She is a freaking superheroe...
She is smart, funny, beautiful, sweet, an amazing person and so so strong...
She is inspirining and admirable...

Amelia is 10 times the surgeon and person that Derek ever was.
Amelia has struggle through the loss of her boyfriend, baby, father, and Derek. She has struggled with drugs and gotten through those multiple times. She does impossible surgeries and is the smartest person ever. She has a great personality and is better soul mates with Meredith that Derek was. Amelia Sheppard is a fighter and she will keep fighting. She is a strong inspirational character and anyone would be lucky to have a friend like her. She has been through so many ups and downs and she keeps standing. Amelia Sheppard is only one of my favorite strong female characters in greys anatomy and other shows.

I so hate that Derek wasn't holding her hand through that. Despite their problems, they were really close. She needed him for that.

a fighter. all the shepard’s are fighters. she took after her brother. her sisters aren’t sisters to her but derek WAS her brother and she doesn’t stop she fights for her life. i love amelia
Meredith is her sister. Not biological but she is her sister. Shes been there for her and amelia has been there for meridith. She is helping to raise her nieces and nephew. Shes one of the strongest characters on this series. I love amelia so much.

Not a brain tumor, but different kind of brain surgery-anyway-I agree with you. First I wasn't allowed to even sleep on the side, and then 24h later they wanted me standing up. Took me half an hour to find my balance to even be able to sit up, but then it came back to me.

She had a brain tumor, which is basically a clump of cells that grows uncontrollably and isn’t supposed to be there and disrupted the things your body is supposed to do. She was able to have it surgically removed though!
